Equestria has hit a technological boom since the bearers of the Elements of Harmony were introduced. Under the kind, wise rule of Princess Celestia and with the light of Princess Luna receding into darkness, ponies thought they would be able to afford luxuries they never got to enjoy before. The reality is far more harsh than they had anticipated, but they still hold out hope for a future that they may someday earn for themselves.

However, a new threat is on the rise. Ponies are able to affect other ponies with nothing more than a glance and cause entire crowds to go berserk. In the face of such an unexpected threat, the citizens of Equestria are forced to call upon the Sky Captain and her elite band of mercenaries to defend them.

There's more than just magnetic super-ponies on the Sky Captain's list of evildoers to thwart, however….
