Pinkie Pie P.I. in The Case of the Blue Diamond
The Case of the Missing Diamond
"This is Ponyville. A small village in the heart of Equestria. Lots of respectable ponies live their lives here. It's a great place to live, but sometimes things can get a little hairy in this village. That's where I come in. The name is Pie. Pinkie Pie. My partner's name is Jack. Applejack to be exact." Pinkie, dressed in a detective's trench coat and hat looks at us through a magnifying glass.
"The story you're about to hear is true. No names have been changed to protect the innocent. And have you ever noticed if you look through a magnifying glass everything looks all weird and blurry. WoooooOOO. WooooOOO."
"Uh Pinkie." said Applejack. "Maybe we should get on with the story." Pinkie looks through the magnifying glass with wide eyes making weird sounds. "Pinkie." Applejack waves her hoof in front of Pinkie. "Pinkie." 'PINKIE PIE!"
"Oh sorry." said Pinkie. "This magnifying glass is just so cool." Pinkie changes her composure from her usual bubbly to more serious.
"It all started a few weeks ago."
"Two weeks ago." corrected Applejack.
"Like I said." continued Pinkie. "It all started two weeks ago. I was at my desk above the Ponyville sweet shop known locally as Sugarcube Corner. By day I help the Cake family with their business. The rest of the time I'm usually focused on having fun. That's kind of why I'm now trying to be a detective. I read one of the mystery stories that my friend Twilight Sparkle lent me. I also solved the mystery of what happened to the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness..."
"You didn't solve that mystery, Twilight did." said Applejack.
"Like I said, I partially solved the mystery of what happened to the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness. So I set up shop as a private eye and was waiting for my first customer. I'll tell ya, there's only one word to describe detective work; booring! I mean how am I supposed to be a detective when there aren't any cases to solve. Pinkie, dressed in a white shirt, black neck tie, and brown pants reads a magazine at her desk, then jumps on her bed, has a tea party with her teddy bears, blows up balloons and lets them deflate, and later lies with her head on the desk blowing a party horn with each exhale.
"Just then the telephone rang, and I leapt at the chance to answer it. Maybe it was my first case." Pinkie leaps over the desk taking the phone with her. Landing on the floor she holds the the receiver to her mouth and the body of the phone to her ear.
"Hello. Pinkie Pie, Private Eyeball. No case to heavy to lift." She listens to the voice. "Hello? You'll have to speak up. Hello? Hello?" She hangs up the phone. "Sheesh. Another wrong number."
"I sat back at my desk and went about my business." Pinkie lies back in her chair, her hind legs on the desk, playing paddleball with the paddle in her mouth. "Suddenly there was a knock on my door."
"A customer! Weeee!" Pinkie sprinted toward the door. Fluttershy was the one outside knocking.
"Pinkie Pie? Are you in there?" asks the yellow pegasus.
"Fluttershy! Please come in." Pinkie grabbed Fluttershy by the neck and pulls her into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her. She sits the pegasus into a chair on the otherside of her desk. Pinkie lies back in her chair putting her feet up on the desk.
"So what can I do for you? Any missing ponies, mysterious figures lurking about, disappearing valuables?"
"Well uh..." Fluttershy looked around nervously.
"Want a lollipop?"
"No thank you." Fluttershy said sheepishly. Pinkie stuck a lollipop in her mouth with the stick sticking out like a cigarette.
"So what's the the trouble?" asked Pinkie.
"Well there really is no trouble. I just came over to see if the Cakes could bake some cookies for my critter friends in the meadow." Pinkie's ears drooped.
"But that's not mysterious."
"Well no it's not." said Fluttershy.
"Ughhh. How am I supposed to solve a mystery if there's no mysteries to be solved." cried Pinkie.
"We'll, I lost my hairbrush two weeks ago and..."
"Perfect!" said Pinkie. "Take me to the scene of the crime." The pink pony rushed out of the room taking Fluttershy with her.

Pinkie Pie busted open the door to Fluttershy's cottage.
"Um Pinkie. It's just a hairbrush. It's nothing to break my door down over." Pinkie searched all over the yellow mare's living room with her magnifying glass.
