Nightmare Moon ran. She ran as fast as she could. Her wings were horribly ripped. It was amazing that they were still on her. She looked behind her, and saw the approaching pony.
Please no Nightmare Moon thought. I'm so close! She continued to try to escape the wrath of the pony that chased her. She ran through a labyrinth of hallways, only to find herself at a dead end, with the mysterious pony looking straight at her.
"It is time to answer for your crimes, Luna," The pony said. She walked up to the ex-ruler of Equestira. "Any last words?"
"Yes," Nightmare Moon responded. "You may have stopped me, but Discord is getting help to stop you and your friends."
"There is nopony in Equestria, no the world, that can stop us." The mysterious pony was almost face-to-face with Nightmare.
"We know, that's why we're going beyond this world."
"You speak madness."
"Neigh, I speak the truth. You will fall, and when you do, Equestria will be fair once again," Nightmare Moon answered.
"Maybe, but it wont be ruled by you."
"Alright Spike, take a letter," Twilight Sparkle told Spike. "Dear Princess Celestia-" Before she could finish, Spike burped out a letter.
"Huh?" Twilight and Spike said in unison. Twilight used her magic to levitate and open the letter. The letter read:
Dear Twilight.
Your presence in Canterlot is requested immediately. Bring your friends as well.
Your teacher, Princess Celestia.
"Looks like you'll be able to tell her your new lesson on friendship to her face to face," Spike said.
"My only question is; what's so urgent that it can't wait?" Twilight asked. "I guess the only way to find out is to go and find out."
"Twilight, I'm glad you came," Princess Celestia said. "And I see you brought your friends, like I asked."
"Not a problem Princess," Twilight responded. "But what's so urgent that it required our immediate presence?"
The Princess sidestepped and showed Discord, who looked hurt, but was given the "Royal Treatment" and looked much better. He had many scars on his body, some that had to be years old. Other than the scars, he looked like Discord. He sat on a chair, one of his legs crossing the other.
"Ah, hello Lord Twilight. The Princess has told me great things about you," Discord said.
"Okay, now I'm really confused," Twilight stated. "What do you want? Why are you hurt? And why did you call me Lord Twilight?"
"Maybe I should explain," Princess Celestia offered.
"Nah Princess, allow me," Discord interrupted. "First thing you need to know: I am not your Discord. I am a Discord from another universe. In my universe, you six-" He gestured his claw towards the group of ponies that recently arrived "-are tyrants. I am part of a rebellion trying to stop your reign. We consist, or consisted, of me, Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, and Sombra. Our rebellion is falling apart. Chrysalis and Sombra fell, and Nightmare Moon had to give her life to distract, you, in order for me to come here to get you. Any questions?"
Twilight was silent. She did have questions, but she couldn't decide what to ask first. She finally decided on one that would probably answer all of them.
"Why are we Tyrants?"
"The same reason you are nice," Discord answered. "It's how it's supposed to be. Each universe differs from the last. It could be as little as a hoof step, or as big as, well, a group of tyrants."
"So is it us that just changed? Or more?" Twilight asked.
"Everypony. The good in your world are bad in mine, and the bad in yours are good in mine."
"But our Discord's a friend now," Applejack imputed.
"Was it something that somepony did, or was I naturally good?"
"Um, it was something I did," Fluttershy whispered.
"Anymore questions?" Discord asked polity, but Twilight could tell that he was getting impatient. After everypony remained silent, Discord spoke again. "Good, now before we go, there is one thing we must do. You six will be identified almost instantly when we get there. We're going to have to disguise you."
"Oh no," Rainbow Dash rejected. "Nopony's laying a hoof on me!"
"Listen Spectra, your mane is a dead giveaway. If we can only disguise one thing it would be your mane and tail," Discord reasoned.
"Spectra? My name is Rainbow Dash."
"Sorry Spec- Rainbow Dash, you go by Spectra in my world," Discord explained. "Twilight is Lord Twilight, The yellow one goes by The Keeper, the white unicorn is Princess. Just Princess. The orange is known as Pure Strength, and the pink one is-"
"Madam Pink!" Pinkie Pie interrupted. Everypony stared at her awkward, even Discord. After a moment of uncomfortable silence, Discord spoke.
"How did you know that?"
"I dunno," Pinkie shrugged.
"Okay then..." Discord said. "We should get to disguising you guys."
After a while, all the ponies were unrecognizable, except for their cutie marks. Twilight had a dark blue mane with a light blue streak, much like her brother's, and fur colored green. Rarity, after having to be talked into it, had a bright red mane, which was flattened down, and a golden yellow fur. Applejack got to keep her orange fur but dyed her mane into a auburn. Pinkie's mane became purple, along with her fur. Fluttershy's mane became yellow and fur pink. Rainbow was...
"Oh no," Rainbow said. "My mane isn't a rainbow to be some boring one color."
"C'mon Rainbow, it ain't that bad," Applejack insisted.
"And we went over this before Spec- Rainbow, your mane is a dead give away. We don't have to touch your fur," Discord said.
"Fine," Rainbow Dash said. Her mane and tail became a jet black. "Why black?"
"Black will ensure that none of your rainbow will seep through," Discord answered. "Well, I believe we should go. Oh I almost forgot!" Discord got out a pack of stickers from, nowhere.
"What are those for?" Rainbow asked.
"Your cutie marks," Discord said. "The only thing more identifiable than your mane S- Rainbow Dash, is your cutie mark. All of yours. Pick your favorite."
There were six stickers. Twilight chose one that looked like a book. Fluttershy took a sticker that resembled a lady bug. Pinkie took one that was a cake, and Applejack put a carrot on her flank. Rarity chose the one that was a ruby, leaving Rainbow Dash with a flaming lightning bolt.
"Great," Discord said. "Now one more thing..." He swirled his paw and talon around him, causing magic to follow their movement. Green smoke covered where he stood. When the smoke left, what once stood Discord stood a tan pony with a blonde mane. His cutie mark was a theater mask, half comedy and the other half tragedy. "Chrysalis taught me that one. Now, anything else?" Everypony remained silent. "No? Then let us go!"
He opened a portal, and then Discord and the ponies that used to look like the mane six entered. Having no idea what was on the other side. It was horrible.
