Intros and Bases

First off i want to start with a note, i used to be a minecraftian and once discovered computers. Thus i discovered the world where humans lived and talked with them several times, I am having this typed for me because were I to try it myself it would take several days for a single chapter to come out. Yes, minecraftian is a species they just don't exist on your world so stop whatever comment your going to put down below. Anyways on with the story, I am not sure if this will be in the description so my name is Midnight Snufel. Don't like my name? too bad it's my name.

My tale starts with when i first got into Equestria, I immediately noticed Celestia and Luna were both alive and well. What that meant is that inequality was present and i strove to get rid of that. Anyways a few weeks after spawning as a pony and seeing the wrong i had gathered a following under an ancient organization's name, the Templar Order. The book I read said they wanted complete control over everything and through that, peace. I believe that is right or i just had that sentence backwards... So i adopted the name and introduced myself as the leader of such to anypony i meant while they were by themselves, Obviously the name's meaning changed when i started using it.

The rumors that started as a result were noticed by the princesses who had evidently rooted out said organization well over 3,000 years ago, something close to that at least. Luckily they took notice well after i had gotten enough ponies to start the second phase of my plan which was to use a spell i had learned in some library i seem to have forgotten the name of. Anyways this let you control anypony's dream as long as they were sleeping within line of sight of you, also it said the limit was 200 but I had close to 4,000 and I seemed to control the dreams rather well. Since using the dream magic put the dreams way up in a metaphorical sky that Luna watched over from high up she saw them and all of the terribleness that looked as though it were induced by her sister's greed, or that of the nobles. Luckily I made the decision to tell all of my followers why they had to sleep in a large cavern that night, even though I ended up losing a hundred dreams via ponies not wanting to help that much.

As I said Luna saw the dreams of terrible supposedly induced by her sister and the nobles, although they were faked dreams i don't doubt that such things that were in them were true somewhere in the land, and proceeded to confront her about it the next morning. Unluckily for the nobles' images they were having a lavish party when Luna decided to walk in on them, After seeing such a party in contrast to the dreams she had seen last night she did something that made them all angry with her. Luna never told me what it was and we're not finding out ever again. So back to the story the next time I saw Luna was when she started going around to different towns and gathering her night guards, some of who were a part of my following and dream spell.

The royal guard seemed to be confused by the lack of night guards who had always waited until their daytime replacements were seen to step down from their posts. One of them asked me about it and this is how the conversation went:

"Hello citizen."

I stopped in a frightened posed for a second and then relaxed "Hello guard." i returned his greeting

"Do you know anything about the night guard's disappearance?"

"Oh that, I saw Luna fly into town yesterday and gather up her guards. No idea what she's planning but she sounded more than a little angry."

The guard walked off with a sigh and continued his normal routine. Meanwhile I went and gathered my followers, minus the night guards who were currently with the Princess, and I told those of them who didn't know about Luna's visit everything I knew about it. In hindsight that wasn't my greatest idea although it did have a positive effect that happened later on. It wan't much i was able to share, mostly it was what i told the guard if you added the conversation I got the information from above from... the part about Luna seeing the dreams and all that. Oh I almost forgot to tell you this but my base is near the end of the Everfree forest that is farthest from Canterlot, it was a rather large but not very open, obviously ancient underground base. Being a minecraftian as I said before i knew all about underground bases, in the block world's physics that is, so i was completely set off when i saw all the supports for what looked to be a sculpted roof. Now the thought of dirt and stone piling up over centuries was not in my mind so I was trying to figure out for the longest time why somepony, or something, would make such a beautiful roof and then hide it underground. Now this base's entrance was really easy to find and I thought it to be the intended entrance, until i fell over 8 feet and impacted with a stone flooring.

After about a year of waiting for the war that had soon followed the gathering of Luna's guards to end my following had spread to many other cities and more and more ponies wanted equality among all ponies. I do not think that they knew at that moment that what I called equality was the call for all alicorns to be dead. Even if they did most of them seemed surprised at what I said to them all after the war was close to an end and only 2 alicorns were still alive. Luna was very close to winning the rebellion I had sparked. When I heard that Luna was preparing to march on Canterlot soon i called everypony that would listen to the base, meaning there were about 200,000 ponies missing from their daily chores and houses. I gave a speech there, i will recite it for you all:

"Today I have called you all here to announce the 4th part of my plan for equality in Equestria. Firstly i apologize for any damage done to you, your family, or your homes during the course of the war. Secondly as soon as Luna and her army conquer the city of Canterlot we will attack. If we do this at the right time we will avoid the extra harm the royal guards could do to us and catch Luna and her army exhausted and lesser in numbers than us, If we manage to do both of those then we will have an extreme advantage and it will be a quick battle and hopefully our deaths will be very small in number. For now everypony needs to get their armor and weapons and ready for battle." I jumped down from the raised plat form in the middle of the giant room, which seemed to have the purpose of giving speeches or something similar.

March To War's End: Part 1

Typers Note~ this is not part of the story, continue to next paragraph if you don't want to read extras. Now on with what I, the typer, was going to say. Which is that this recount of what has happened in Equestria the past few years or so is about 990,980% correct, if you don't understand what I mean then your lost... i suppose. anyways on with the story!

Story~ 30 minutes after I gave that little speech I was wearing a black cloak that had, on both sides for sake of symmetry, 3 pictures. The first was a picture of a group of ponies sleeping with a hardly see-able figure standing over them, casting a spell with her dark purple magic lining. The second depicted the same figure in a much lesser role crouching in front of, yet below, the two rulers of Equestria... used to be rulers anyways as they fought, each with their armies behind them. The third and final picture showed the figure from the other two pictures standing above the lunar princess who stood victorious, yet saddened, beside a pile of dead ponies who wore golden armor. the figure on this third picture had a blade of light blue, signifying that it was made of diamond.

My hidden blade that I am using is made of diamonds. I had thought since diamonds were very common why not make a blade out of one? Besides what better to assassinate a princess with than a blade made of one of the strongest materials ever to be found naturally?

Anyways 30 minutes later everypony was ready so after a 10 minute wait we exited our base. Have you seen 200,000 ponies leaving through an entrance made for groups of 4? If so then you'd know how long it takes to get everypony out, even though we were in an orderly fashion... mostly. It still took an extra 10-20 minutes for everypony to file out and reorganize. After we had done that I started on the long trek to Canterlot, which was already showing signs of heavy fighting via the large cloud of orange that popped up every once in a while. After a few hours of walking, we had cleared the Everfree forest, that forest is far too long or maybe it was just the pace i had set which was a walk, in anycase soon after we had continued into the plains, where we were able to go faster, guess who appeared? If you guessed Princess Sparkle and her friends, the elements of harmony equipped, then you would be slightly wrong. Miss Sparkle and her friends were there but they didn't have their elements with them.

"What do you think your doing?" Twilight asked me

"Well if your talking to me then I am going to go get rid of the last alicorn still alive after that fiasco of a war." I responded with a smile and tilt of my head "Why are you out here snooping around in other ponies' business?"

"We were just headed to Canterlot ourselves, the train is out of the question so we have to walk there." Rainbow spoke up before any of her friends could say otherwise.

"At a time like this? I would think you six would much rather just sit around ponyville as the rest of them seem content to do." I laughed a little inside my head at that point, no idea why but it just seemed funny at the time.

"Wait... you said 'the only other alicorn still alive" does that mean you don't think i'm an alicorn?" Twilight sounded very confused at the notion of it.

"It's because you are not. You are simply a winged unicorn who was given the rite of immortality. To be an alicorn, which is quite irreversible I might add, you would need an Earth pony's body and a much longer horn and wings, Twilight. It is quite apparent that you are not an alicorn just by looking at your wingspan." I had stopped smiling suddenly thinking about how long this was taking, even though I had planned to set up camp soon anyways.

Twilight tried to say something but was obviously too shocked to mutter more than "bu..bu-bu-but i-i-i..." when she didn't form a coherent sentence in a full minute I continued "However the inequality that you represent, Twilight, can be undone. Albeit it takes a lot of magic but that shouldn't be a problem. So I give you a choice: die, or be sent back to just a regular unicorn."

She chose the latter option and I performed the wing removal spell and the mortality spell and put both on a timer, one which I intended to ignore so that the effect would be permanent. "So do you six want to come along and help m-us?"

"Mus?" All six looked confused

"I was trying to say us but started saying me at first, not sure why but I did... so let me rephrase that: would you like to help us?" I smiled again as Rainbow Dash and Applejack nodded at me with a smile. Then I looked at the shaking heads of the other 4 ponies and frowned why can't everything be more simple than this? I asked myself to which I responded But then we'd be bored too much and we already are as it is. uh... most of the time anyways. not right now but ya know, a few days after we finish this we'll be bored again I sighed and smiled at RD and AJ then started walking towards where I had wanted to camp, which was about halfway between our base and Canterlot.

Speaking of Canterlot the orange flashes that told of bombs going off had stopped while we were talking at some point and I hadn't even noticed it. I hope they haven't finished fighting yet, that would mean we just- yes, I get it brain, I get it! I thought and continued towards the resting place.

I turned around after we had walked along for another 5 minutes and announced that we were going to spend the night there, which had begun 10 minutes earlier. I walked over to the edge of the place, not the smartest idea I know but still I never was one for trying to sleep in the middle, and I laid down. For 2 buckin' seconds. RD had appeared as soon as I had emerged from the crowd of ponies.

"What is it Rainbow? Can it not wait until morning?" I asked obviously irritated at the small amount of time I had attempted to rest in.

"Well I was just wondering if you knew what happened to the elements of harmony... they kinda disappeared after you went to the library that one day." she sounded more than a little worried.

"So the mighty group of friends can't do anything without the elements? I thought you six, had you attacked, would have been a tough challenge even with our equipment. Now I see that I shouldn't assume such things."

"Hey! I can fight without the elements its just that Twilight and the others seemed really concerned about the disappearance of the elements. That was you, wasn't it?" RD took on a fighting pose that quickly relaxed into an annoyed stance.

"If anything Rainbow, you know how to state the obvious. Besides I meant your fighting abilities as a group, not individually. Yes, I did take the elements so you couldn't use them on Discord, who so graciously returned the favor by turning dear Celestia to stone right before Luna left the castle. Did you know he can time travel?" My mood had changed from irritated to explanatory.

"Wait... doesn't that mean Discord's on the loose then? If he can time travel?" RD was slightly more confused than annoyed now.

"Well i limited him to travelling only backwards... for one time only. He didn't know this when he did me this favor so he effectively wasted his one chance to go anywhere in the time stream. Soon after he was defeated and the guards, not being able to turn him back to stone, had killed him. If it seems impossible then let me explain that as well. The reason he would not be able to do anymore time traveling is because I had weakened him to the point where he would be forced to shut off that particular power or risk dying. He risked it and died so yeah..." I seemed to be doing a lot of explaining nowadays.

Rainbow figured it would be a good idea to leave me alone after I told her that. So I slept.

March To War's End:Part 2

Another typers note before we begin~ It crossed my mind that Miss Snufel hasn't said a thing about the doctor or Lighting Blight... which is interesting because she says she meets both of them nearly at the same time and ends up having one, or both i cant really remember, follow her around. Most likely just the one but you never know with an Ender pony, which is what i am nicknaming her.

Story: I woke up and opened my eyes... to pitch blackness. I had heard from villagers before my transformation and they said that when a minecraftian dies they go to blank space. They said it was white and you couldn't feel anything in most cases, however they did say it had a slight chance of being black and not feeling anything. Seeing as my mind was kinda groggy as I thought that I figured I died in my sleep, which is not really a surprise seeing as I could sleep through 20 creepers exploding next to me.

A few moments later I realized I could taste blood, which should have been impossible if I were dead. Going off of that I assumed something was on my face and it had been bled upon. I pulled my head back from it and saw the dark red spot on a rainbow mane... or at least I had initially thought it was red when it was actually a dark purple, much like half my mane. As I realized only one pony had a rainbow mane I jumped backwards and yelled "Jason!" at that point I was confused as Rainbow Dash was as she woke up. She looked at the sky, seeing only 5 hours had passed.

"Did you have to wake me up like that?! Also, who's Jason?"

"You were the one laying down next to me! you should explain that... I don't know who Jason is by the way"

"Are you sure? It seems as if you would know somepony if their the first thing to pop into your head." She sounded cross for a reason I would figure out later on, way later on.

"Well I have no idea who it is." I was staring at the dark purple spot that was near the middle of her neck.

"Why do you keep staring behind me?" RD looked over her shoulder to where she thought I was staring

"I'm not... There's something on your mane and it tastes like blood, but its purple." I said slowly

"What?! when did I get blood on my mane?!" she asked frantically.

"Well... that may be my fault. I just kinda started bleeding in the middle of our sleeping and you decided to cuddle with me." I said quietly at first but looked at her accusingly for until after she had replied.

RD sighed "I thought it would be a little warmer with you instead of sleeping by myself." she looked at the ground for a few seconds "but you were the one who bled on me and you don't look like you were cut!"

I laughed a little and said "Rainbow, I have no idea what happened but thing is I am feeling a little light headed."

Rainbow Dash just flew off without another word. Since I was already awake I went and roused the rest of the sleeping ponies. After a little bit of grumbling and me sighing several times at how long this was taking we were under way again. Overall it took far longer than it I had thought it would, which is to say it took 25 minutes as opposed to the 5 I had originally planned. In anycase we walked the rest of the distance to the outskirts of Canterlot, where we were stopped by a giant wall of yellow hard-light. I know this sounds weird but its true, a few seconds later a sky blue pegasus with darker blue mane and tail appeared "Hello Mi- I mean random pony I have definitely not met before. who are you?" I should also mention that a battlefield had obviously been here before the walls were up as the ground had a lot of blood and explosion spots, meaning that not all the fighting was inside the capital city of Equestria.

I was kinda confused by the way he almost said my name and immediately denied he'd ever met me "Have you been following me?"

"Nope. But I think somepony has been judging by that light brown thing in the shrubs over there." he pointed to a bush that was on the edge of the forest that had a few different colors inside of it.

I turned around and looked at it, probably shoulda mentioned that before, and walked over to it "Who are you and why are you in that bush?"

The bush looked at me with dark brown eyes and replied in a trottingham accent "I was following the trail of what isn't supposed to be here and i've been trying to get inside that shield. Hey you! blue pegasus, mind letting us in there?!"

The pegasus looked at the bush and blinked a few times "Why didn't you just ask me that in the first place?"

A light brown stallion stepped out of the bush and said "I just got here a few minutes ago."

"I suppose that means your excused from talking to me?"

"It means that this is the first time i've seen you!"

I walked up to the shield and touched it. It was made of something that felt like it was made of leaves but was obviously not. "what is this made of anyways blue pegasus?"

The pegasus walked up to it "I am about 50% sure it's made of hard-light. very strong. was I doing something?"

"um... letting everypony inside your shield." I suggested.

"Oh right of course." an opening that was meant for about 20 ponies, not counting the ones that could fly. Everypony walked inside the bright yellow maze of walls that was formed. "I got this idea from something I did before," he looked at a glowing crystal that was about 2 meters in height and 1 in width so yeah you get about how big the thing was, “oh the crystal says that I probably shouldn’t talk about that. In anycase I want to get it on record that I got here as quickly as possible so the fact that almost everypony is dead need not get you down.”

“Is Luna still alive?” I asked. I looked back and saw that my entire army was too big to fit inside of the amount of walls. “Most of you need to stay outside. 500 of you will stay and accompany me farther inside.” I announced then turned back towards the Pegasus.

“Yes, she is still alive. Why did you want to know?” he looked between me and the stallion a few times then looked at a cave entrance where the lunar princess was talking to her remaining soldiers, which were about 650 in numbers if I were to estimate at all.

“I suppose it is, but why did you want to know?” the brown earth pony asked me

“Oh I just, ya know, wanted to say hello and maybe continue my plans. Don’t even ask because I am not telling you. Also, who are you?” I was looking at the brown pony.

“Oh my name is Time Turner and what do you mean you won’t tell me?” Time said

I thought that was strange and tilted my head to look so for a few seconds. Then I turned my attention to the Pegasus “What is your name?”

“I am Lightning Blight, odd isn’t it? Only destructive force I can use is hard-light and lightning.” He looked towards Luna, who was still behind several walls of hard-light.

“I am Midnight Snufel. Are these walls sound proof?”

“They used to be but i’ve learned to control that.” He said and opened a way through the walls that blocked our path. Me, Time, Lightning, and all 500 other ponies walked through the opened walls. As we neared Luna I split off from the group and signaled the part of my army that was inside the area to keep Luna’s guards busy. I walked up to Luna and said in a questioning tone “Hello, I think you know me?”

Luna looked at me confused “no, I have no idea who you are.”

“Follow me then, Princess Luna.” I said and walked towards the holes in the walls. Luna did not follow for a couple of seconds but then decided to follow. As soon as we were through the walls they closed again, sealing me inside of the walls which turned from half-translucent into completely un-see through. I smiled and wondered briefly why Lightning trusted me so much so quickly. I tackled the princess as soon as I got over my initial shock of the massive amount of magic used to do such a thing, stabbing her with my horn and blade in the side. Which was very effective for making her bleed exceedingly, the dark purple blood flowing from her as it had from my nose the night before.

“Why?...” she asked very confused.

“Because you and the alicorns, and winged unicorn in twilight’s case, are the symbols of what I don’t want to be here. You are the problem. Do you remember those terrible dreams you saw on the night you turned on your sister?”

“How do you know… about those?” she was still confused but grew to understand as I explained

“I made those dreams stand out, I even faked the dreams, used magic to do so and it stood out above the rest of the dreams and nightmares out there.”

“So you were the one who sparked the entire war?” she paused as if deciding something then said “well since you said that I may as well tell you what happened during that night.” So she told the story that I had told you about the night she saw those dreams, give or take a few details.

“Is that all you wanted to say?” I asked standing over her as she’d done to many towns, only with a menacing look on my face. I extended my hidden blade into the ground near her neck.

She sighed “I suppose so, but what will happen to the land when the sun and moon don’t move?”

“Do not worry princess, the sun and moon will go back into their natural orbits as soon as you’ve passed. Anything else?”

“No, that is all. At least it will be equal here in equestria I suppose.” She said and looked at my eyes with a defiant yet accepting stare.

“Very well then, tell Celestia that she has me to thank for dying… me and all of my supporters of course.” I stabbed the princess of the night diagonally through her neck and, after a few seconds of waiting, pulled it back out to see it recolored in the purple alicorn blood.

Appointing Ponies, So Boring

Turns out that when you kill somepony with a hidden blade it takes you into a white walled room where said killed pony is able to talk to you. This room is completely white, has a lot of small, seemingly untouchable, white threads everywhere.

"Well this is awkward." Luna stated as she saw that she was still alive, in said room.

"Yes, I agree. Did not know this would happen... wonder how we get out of here..." I absently looked around the room, which was slowly becoming engulfed in a green, purple, and blue colors.

"Maybe we wait?" Luna suggested as she closed her eyes for good... again.

"Maybe..." I was more busy watching the now rapidly gaining colors as my senses sensed the world I had recently left, just moments after killing Luna. I still stood over her body with the yellow walls that lead away from the cave gone. My soldiers were in a large circle around something, or somepony. I walked over to the edge of the crowd and demanded to be let through. What I saw came as something of a shock. Rainbow Dash and Applejack were growling at the circle of soldiers as Fluttershy hid in between them. Closer to the edge were the other three of the main six, all dead but only Twilight seemed to have bled at all seeing as there was only enough blood for a single pony to have bled out. Moving on the casualties to my own forces had been carried off to somewhere else, I later found out 8 of them had died and 4 more were injured.

"What happened?!" I said loud enough to be heard by nearly the whole army.

"Twilight, Pinkie, and Rarity thought it would be a good idea to attack your soldiers, or whatever they are." Rainbow Dash said before she turned around to try and soothe Fluttershy, apparently to no avail. Applejack nodded after RD said that so I assumed it was true, she didn't seem to be lying anyways.

Also sorry about this but Time Turner said something that I can't seem to recall... stupid memory, almost as bad as Lightning's. Although it occurred to me that the walls that hid the remnants of the lunar guards was still up so there was no way he could have gotten through unless he teleported but he was an earth pony so it just leads me to wonder how exactly he did that.

After that had been settled and the walls became motes of yellow light that were easily pass through-able I told every pony to get to Canterlot, which was on the verge of gone. Luckily the main housing districts and castle were intact, likely because Luna had had the intent to take over the city instead of destroy it. I walked over to Lightning, who stood calmly by his glowing crystal. "Hello, Lightning."

"How are you Midnight? Also who's gonna rule Equestria now?" Lightning said as if the thing he had just asked didn't decide the fate of practically the entire world, seeing as Equestria covered most every part of said world.

"I was going to appoint the main six ponies, from the show, to do just that but half of them are dead and I doubt two ponies can rule Equestria by themselves." I answered plainly.

"Thought you said only half were dead." He sounded as if his counting was off

"Yes but one of the alive ones can't take public attention for too long without running off or hiding, not exactly the best image if I say so myself." I explained, looking off towards Canterlot.

"Aaahh... that makes sense." He sounded a lot more relieved now. "So who will rule, you I presume?"

"Well you'd be wrong in that presumption." My attention had snapped back to him.

"Then who is gonna rule?"

"Not a clue, maybe i'll have Rainbow and AJ rule while I advise them... sound like a plan?"

"If your asking if it sounds like a good plan then no, not really. I can see how having Twilight, possible Rainbow, AJ, and maybe Rarity ruling would work but not just Rainbow and AJ."

I paused for a good minute or two then said "Did you know RD has rainbow-colored blood?"

He was put off by my rather random sentence and waited a few moments before shaking himself and talking "No, I didn't but I don't see how that applies to what we were talking about just now."

"Oh right I seem to have forgotten to stay on topic... Who do you think would be best for running Equestria?"

"Not a clue, maybe we could ask the other ponies? If all else fails it'll be you ruling after all, you know that, right?" Did I mention the accent he speaks in? It's sort of a Canterlot accent mixed with maybe a Stalliongrad or Trottingham accent. Kinda hard to describe but I hope you get the gist of what I am saying.

"Of course I do, Lightning."

"So shall we be off to the capital city?" He inquired his crystal and in response to whatever voice he hears when he looks at the thing me, him, and the entire army that accompanied me were all teleported to the inside of Canterlot, specifically right in front of the Castle. Have you ever seen the Canterlot castle without its guards present? If so then you know what we saw, if not then it really just looks like the structure without the golden gleam that apparently comes from the guard's armor. Have I mentioned the sick feeling yet? I think everypony felt it. A terrible sick feeling erupted from my, and possible everypony's, stomach and I felt incredibly weak. The result of both of those hitting, and taking full effect in just a second, a few seconds after teleporting made me collapse, along with everypony besides Lightning. After waking what seemed to be just a few seconds to me, and was really almost 9 hours in the real time, I blinked open my eyes to see Lightning and Rainbow Dash looking at me with concern.

"Oh good, your awake, I was starting to think you weren't going to wake up. Thought the same about RD here." He thought it would be a good idea to pat Rainbow Dash when he mentioned her, and was promptly knocked over by a rather angry looking cyan mare.

I smiled, barely holding back a laugh "having fun Rainbow?" I started laughing, a lot.

"What are you laughing at, Miss Nosebleed?" she was still angry and it was really not the best course of action to keep laughing with renewed vigor after she said that.

After I had finally stopped, which took about 10 seconds at the most, I responded "You and Lightning."

Said stallion got up and walked back over, looking calm as ever. "You didn't have to send me into the wall you know."

I tried standing at that point but it had barely been more than 30-50 seconds from waking up at that point and I fell over again almost as soon as I stood up. Rainbow had calmed down and was smiling a little while Lightning was on the verge of laughing at what had just happened. A minute later I tried, and succeeded, in standing up. ‘next step is walking’ I thought to myself. Walking turned out to be twice as easy as standing as I got it the first time. “What exactly just happened after we teleported here?” I asked Lightning.

He shrugged and said “Not too sure but I think that when teleporting large amounts of ponies with this it makes them sick. Obviously, if this is true, I exceeded the mass limit in safe teleportation, resulting in your sickness.” Some of the other ponies were awake now and had gathered around me and Lightning.

“You don’t say.” I said sarcastically at the last line he had said. Sounding much less sarcastic I turned my head to Dash “Miss Dash do you think you would be eligible to lead Equestria?”

She gasped and was about to respond excitedly when she paused. “Yes, of course!” she exclaimed after a minute.

“Ok you certainly have the enthusiasm… where’d Time go?” I asked as I realized he was not in the crowd of ponies that were either standing up or still laying in their sickness-induced sleeps.

Rainbow Dash looked confused when I didn’t respond to her directly, instead addressing the air. In the spot I was looking at a pair of dark purple eyes stared back.

“Who?” One of the guards to my right asked.

“Time Turner, brown stallion, darker brown eyes. Thought he had something important to say… ah well. I think this will work better if we are inside of the castle.” I addressed the soldier with the first sentence then shifted my attention to Lightning and Dash. I looked back at the soldier and the pony next to her. “You two follow me, Dash, and Lightning.” I motioned the mentioned ponies to follow me and went into the castle, having the other guards block the entrances with the orders to turn back anypony attempting to gain entry to said castle.

We found a few rooms that would have served well enough but I felt as if there was a special room we should talk. After another 5 minutes of wandering we happened upon a room that was filled with papers, quills, and bottles of ink also included was a year-old layer of dust. I smiled and, looking around, said “We shall talk in this room, I like it.”

“Isn’t this Luna’s study?” Rainbow asked

“How would you know something like that?” I responded.

“I was judging by how much dust there is in here, it seems as if this room hasn’t been visited in a year.”

“Oh yeah, that would be a good clue…”

“And the lack of a bed means it’s not her bedroom, right?” she finished

“Yeah… very observant Rainbow.” I complimented her. The entirety of the political discussion had been forgotten by the time I walked out the door, excluding the results. Said results were that Rainbow would indeed run Equestria with help from AJ and several ‘advisors’ me and Lightning had picked out for her.

Midnight: So you finally got my 3rd visit down, what happened yesterday?

Me: Got hit by a serious case of the epic laziness, or, as some call it, effciency.

Midnight: *facehoof* really? you just got lazy?

Me: *big mac impression* EEyup

Midnight: excuse me but I am going to go figure out that x-box of yours some more... wait is the computer typing itself?

Me: Yeah I set it to record our voices, I don't use it normally so I can fix any sentence mistakes you make but still.

Afterwards

"If you think about, dots are magic." I said suddenly just after Rainbow and I had left the study, Lightning said he wanted to look at a few things.

"What do you mean?" Rainbow asked as her face turned to curiosity, not confusion.

"If friendship is magic and friends make friendship and friends are made of dots then dots are therefore magical. Far more than the actual friendship-magic really." I said quietly as for some reason everypony figured it would be a good idea to post guards throughout the palace, who I continuously had to dismiss from said posts.

Now she was confused "How would anypony be made of dots?"

"View screens." I said simply as if they existed

That served to only baffle her more "View screens? what are those?"

"You look at a view screen and you view things... namely you six."

"Us... six?"

"Nevermind Rainbow, i've already told you more than you ought to know."

"Have you now?"

"Yes... could you forget I said all that?" we had arrived at the throne room doors, along with the group of advisors I had selected earlier. Luckily they had the sense to stay out of earshot.

"Why should I?" she challenged with a challenging smile on her face. It seemed to do just what I had expected as she seemed to forget her dead friends, I was surprised it didn't backfire on me.

"We have more important things to discuss. If not forget it then at least drop it for now."

She huffed "More important things? What exactly do you mean?"

"For one you have an almost destroyed world to rule over and repair. Also you need to consider a few proposals from the nobles who are still alive... and I have one as well."

"Gah! already? I thought i'd have sometime before we launched into that kinda stuff."

"You did, it was the walk here, Rainbow." I said with a bit of laughter and opening of the throne room doors with my magic, which had a black and purple aura.

"Why's your magic look like that?"

"No idea, never looked like that before... perhaps it is a reflection of what i've done in this land so far." I walked towards the throne, stopping a few feet before it. Rainbow promptly went towards the throne and sat upon it, looking down on me. Nopony else was in the throne room. the doors and windows had become engulfed in a black mist.

"What is it you wanted, Midnight?" She seemed to not be bothered by the mist so I assumed it wasn't there. That was a terrible mistake.

"I suggest disbanding all guard factions and let the citizens help themselves. I have seen this work elsewhere and it seems to have a positive effect on society in the long run. Also there is much money to be saved by doing this that can be used to fix your Equestria." The mist inched towards me and made me a little uncomfortable but I kept telling myself it wasn't there.

"What?! No guards?! That just it... wait that does kinda make sense." her face went from shocked to understanding. I waited on her verdict, wondering why the advisors had said nothing yet. As I waited I made a light with my magic and made it a permanent, bright light that hung onto the ceiling, effectively lighting 1 foot behind me and Dash and a few to our sides.

"%appdata%..." I whispered thoughtfully after a while.

"Alright I have come to a decision. Your proposal has been accepted and will take effect in 3 days." Rainbow said in an authoritive voice. As soon as she finished a song played... it was 'Smile' the sad one, the one with no lyrics just saddening music. The mist closed into them as much as it could but was stopped by the light. Now Rainbow sounded either scared or sad, I could never tell the difference. "What is that? where is that music coming from?!"

"I have no idea rainbow, what concerns me more is this mist around us.The mist is never friendly, obscuring enemies and traps... never once did it help me." I said the last sentence to myself, quietly.

"Is that what it's called? Seems a little generic if you ask me."

"Well what else am I gonna call it?"

"No idea maybe 'The evil mist' or something but that also sounds..." she trailed off as my light spell winked out and the darkness entirely surrounded us. Next thing I knew I was back where I had started, the block world. As a minecraftian.

"They say all paths lead to home..." I said in amazement as I looked around and saw a familiar rainbow colored portal, active and everything.

"Home? this is not home! wait... am i made of squares now?!" Rainbow was standing up and looked down at her arm, which was indeed made of rectangles and squares.

"Well we just need to go through there." I pointed with my rectangular arm towards the rainbow-colored-wool portal.

"Oh good I was thinking I was going to be stuck here." She sprinted in the portal and experienced falling 4 feet to the ground. A moment later we were both back in Equestria, I had landed on top of her because she had failed to move. I quickly got off.

"At least I know how to get back now." I said a loud, more to myself though. Lightning appeared with his crystal next to him

"You two didn't get swallowed by a black mist, did you?!" he asked frantically.

"Actually we did, that's how we got here."

He calmed down considerably "Uh... well sorry in that case I found a rather interesting spell in Luna's study, one that homes in on black, or dark, magic and sends them to another world."

"Dark magic hmm?" Rainbow looked at me suspiciously

"I had no idea I was using dark magic, at first my magic aura was blue, then dark purple, then it turned black and purple. Now that I think about it magic auras aren't supposed to change color..." I looked at the ground.

What happened next would be the craziest thing to have happened so far in Equestria for me: A pony with the black armor of a night guard jumped from a nearby cliff and almost killed Rainbow, had he not been screaming about revenge he would have been successful however Lightning made a shield wall into a sharp point which went straight through the pony's armor and body, effectively it split the fellow in half.

"Note to self: Stay away from cliffs." Rainbow said and walked away from the cliff, out of jumping distance.

Lightning found it extremely funny when RD said this and I got this feeling that said mare was ready to knock his teeth out at this point. "Lightning I get this feeling your on thin ice with Rainbow Dash here." I commented while resisting joining him in senseless laughter, whenever somepony is laughing I get the urge to laugh as well if you didn't know.

"I... I kno- know that its jus- just so funny!" he said between bouts of laughter.

Rainbow turned to me and said rather angrily "Can we teleport back to the throne room before he can get a laugh out of something else that happens?"

"Of course." I teleported us both into the castle's main entryway. "It seems as if something is stopping me from returning to the throne room, you will need to go there yourself. I need to tell the nobles that you will speak with them now." I turned around and left the castle as Rainbow went further into it. I didn't actually have plans to tell them that as they already knew it and were likely on their way there now. I should build a castle I thought out of nowhere as I realized my goal had been achieved and all pony were equal now and should be forever.

What happened afterwards was just a slow rebuilding of Equestria, where no guards were to be found and the elements were slowly buried by that pesky build up of soil. Also that entrance to my base was buried, likely never to be found again. Another thing is that Rainbow Dash died 70 years into her reign, which was actually rather peaceful besides the assassin who had done so. As it turns out I had sparked a series of fights between two factions that arose shortly after Luna's rebellion ended which is to say that I left the New Templar Order to it's own leadership and an Assassin's Creed appeared which fought with them endlessly while they tried to protect their member who was Queen at the time. The assassins never appeared to want to be in power, or rule everything, just simply to not have the other side in power. Sounds noble enough to me, never heard about them in those history books and I wasn't surprised when I learned how sneaky and 'in the shadows' they were, refusing anything to be written about them.
