What if the events of "Owl's well that ends well" went a little differently. What if the dragon spike met wasn't some angry beast? What if he was a wise and very old dragon who had lots of plans for the young and emotionally hurt dragon? What would a young dragon who has been hurt by the one pony he cares about most do when given an amazing and dangerous gift? The ones we care about most are irreplaceable, but we should always make sure they know that.
