My torch supply was getting low as I explored endless tunnels and traversed the deepest of caverns. As I was just about to give up and return to the comfort of my home, I felt the presence of heat. “Yes!” I said to myself, with a triumphant smirk on my face. Mining though the wall of stone that blocked my path, I came upon the most glorious sight of my life: "LAVA!!" Ok, Ok it my not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it was what I needed to complete my project. I quickly reached into my bottomless bag of awesomeness, pulled out my water bucket, and doused the lava. As I watched the bubbling goo of fire transform into glorious obsidian I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. The feeling quickly washed over me as the water evaporated, revealing the beautiful purple rock. I grabbed my diamond pickaxe and started working as fast as possible, mining away at the block until I obtained my precious item. At this time I needed to mine the rest and get the hell out of here because night fall was approaching fast and I was not about to spend the night in some creepy-ass cave. Working as fast as I could and straining every muscle in my body, I finally collected everything I needed. I packed up my supplies and was about to leave, when I heard something. It sounded like a faint screaming sound. A chill ran down my spine as I started running. I ran as fast as I could, trying not to trip over anything, as I heading for the exit. I passed a few ores on the that could have been helpful to me, but they weren’t worth stopping for because I didn’t wont, whatever was chasing me, to catch up. I was almost there; I could feel the warmth of the sun light beaming down on me. The sound was getting closer and I started running faster and faster until I couldn’t feel my legs anymore. “Thank notch,” I said, with a grin on my face as I was nearing the end of the cave, but something stopped me halfway. I gulped hard and looked up. What I saw next chilled me to the core. It was some sort of creature, but it was strange looking. It had long arms that seemed to almost touch the floor and legs that where taller then myself. It’s face was it’s most horrifying  feature. It’s mouth opened wide like it was screaming, but remained eerily silent. A sets of purple eyes that stared into my very soul. It finally clicked in my mind what I was up against: AN ENDERMEN!! I thought these creatures were only an old miner’s tale, but I guess I was wrong, because I was now face to face with one. For the first time, I finally realized what real terror felt like.
