Chapter three – Nightmare?

1:00 AM

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” a blood curdling scream came from Rainbows room. Night shot out from his bed and flew to Rainbow’s room. He opened the door and found Rainbow sitting up on her bed, shaking like a leaf with tears running down her face. No sobs just tears. “No it’s happening again!” Night ran up to Rainbow and wrapped her in his wings and arms. (And no, Rainbow is not in her underwear. Perverts.) “Your knight is here, your knight will protect you!”

At those words Rainbow closed her eyes and fell back asleep still wrapped in Night’s wings. For the rest of the night he watched Rainbow. Rainbow was scared only once more, but it wasn’t anything Night couldn’t handle. Morning came and Rainbow was waking up.

Night closed his eyes to act like he was sleeping. Rainbow hit his chest, “I know you’re not asleep, so cut the crap!” Night opened his eyes and looked at Rainbow with concern. “Hey, I’m fine ok.” Night looked at her with a mixture of anger and concern, anger because that she hasn’t done that since she was 13 and he could do anything to stop them permanently. And concern because last time she had the dreams she didn’t sleep for days. Rainbow broke like a twig in his gaze. “Ok, I’m scared out of my mind. I thought we’ve fixed this problem.” Rainbow looked up at Night with scared puppy dog eyes. “But,” Rainbow started, “This one was different, you were there and when they saw you.” Rainbow started to tear up, “when they saw you they shot you. But the real weird part is that you went down fighting and looking like a soldier, but I

know you haven't been trained yet, right.” Night looked at Rainbow and said in a lying voice,

“Yeah.” Rainbow didn’t notice the tone of voice

she just hugged him. “Rainbow.”

“Yeah, Knight Night?” Rainbow said snuggling up closer to her brother.

“I kinda got to take a piss.”

Rainbow jumped out of his wings and hit him in his chest. “Way to ruin a moment!”

“Well I could go right here,” Night laughed.

“Shut up and go.” Night got up and left the room. Rainbow covered herself back, closed her eyes and thought, ‘Why is this happening again?’ Rainbow got up and went down stairs into the kitchen and found Spitfire sitting at the breakfast table.

Spitfire looked up from her book and orange juice. It was clear on Rainbow’s face that somethingwas wrong. “You ok Rainbow?” Spitfire got up and walked over to Rainbow. She put a hand on her shoulder and gave a look saying, ‘You can tell me’.

Rainbow brushed Spitfires hand off. “It’s nothing,” Rainbow replied turning around to see Night and Twilight dressed.

“Rainbow, get dressed, we're going to visit Princess Luna,” Night picked up his car keys and

Twilight went to get some fruit from the fridge.

“Night, it’s 4:00 AM! she won't be up this early!” Rainbow exclaimed, but was quickly

embarrassed by her statement. “Huh sorry. Forgot.” 15 minutes and two cups of coffee later

Rainbow was dressed and ready to go and left for the school.

They knocked on the door of Luna office, a few minutes later Luna opened the door and motioned for them to come in. Night phoned ahead to tell Luna. When they went in there was incense burning, dim lighting, candles burning and a couch for Rainbow to lie on. “Welcome, Rainbow Dash if you will lie down on the couch, so I can begin.” Rainbow did as she was told.

Luna’s office was gothic. All of it looked like it was from the dark ages. The desk was very old. It was stained with a dark brown and had gargoyles carved into the sides of the desk. The walls were jet black and the rest of the furnisher matched the desk.

Rainbow lay on the couch. She looked left and right and then shot up “Can Night help?” She was shaky she felt like the scared little girl way back before.

Luna nodded. “Of course he can. That’s why I asked him to come,” Luna gave Rainbow a warm

smile. “Now then, Night will go into the dream world with Twilight and myself. Just remember Night,

we are only observers now. We cannot interfere.”

“I understand can we just get on with it?” Night was on edge, he wanted to see firsthand what

Rainbow was dreaming about. Luna put her hand on Rainbows temples and Night grabbed her

shoulders. Rainbow fell asleep and they were ready to go into her dreams.

It was in big and badly lighted warehouse. There were just two guys and two girls, when one of

them was Rainbow Dash. Rainbow was naked and her arms were chained over her head. The

two guys were raping her, while the other girl just laughed. Rainbow was screaming loudly, it

made Night’s blood boil. He was getting ready to jump on the two guys, when his dream-self

came through the door. He was in full blown tactical gear. Night pointed his rifle at one of the

guys and killed him. Then, the woman shot Night in the head.

They all woke up in the gothic office. Night punched a wall leaving a very nice hole. “If you want to break something,” Luna pointed to a small closet, “There are all the gifts that Tia gave me that I didn’t like, feel free to break those.” Night opened the closet; there was a very bright vase, an ugly yellow sweater, and a very, very brightly colored lamp. None of them went with Luna’s style. Night threw the vase out the window, burned the sweater and then threw the lamp at a passing

janitor. He missed him by an inch.

“Feel better?” asked Luna.

“A little, now how can we handle this situation?” He looked at the three women in the room.

Luna cleared her throat. “First off, the dream was a pronation from the future.” The three young adults stood there in an ‘aw!’ at what Luna just said. “Second off, since this isn’t a regular nightmare it can be suppressed. I’ll teach Twilight Sparkle the spell.” Twilight squeaked at the fact that she was going to learn a new spell. Night and Luna razed a brow at Twilight. Rainbow just giggled and thought she was being cute.

‘Wait!’ Rainbow thought. ‘Do I think that Twilight is cute? I mean yeah there was that one moment when we first met, but after that I was fine. I can’t be attracted to girls. Or can I?’

Twilight apologized and Luna continued. “The spell will block the dream from happening again, but you will still remember it and it will have to be performed every night.” The three nodded at Luna. Luna and Twilight then went into the spare room. Night and Rainbow took a seat on the couch and waited for the two alicorns. They came out after thirty minutes in there.

“Did you to have sex of something?” Night said getting up from the couch.

“NO!” Twilight shouted.

Luna used her magic to smack him upside the head with a book and then walked to Rainbow, “I don’t know what exactly will happen in cause of this, but I will do everything I can to prevent it.”

Rainbow got up. “Thank you Princess.”

Luna smiled back, “please call me Luna.”

Rainbow Dash said awkwardly “Ok Luna” The three young adults left.
