In a time best forgotten by ponykind, Discord was once ruler of all of Equestria. He'd achieved the impossible, and now was on top of the world, there was nopony supposedly powerful enough to oppose him or question his ideals. All of life was a game to the draconequus, and Discord knew how to play the game all too well. But even in such a bleak and hopeless time for ponies, there was resistance. There was a force willing to oppose the master of chaos even after all he'd achieved and proven, and he loved it.
