The Slow Mo Stallions
Chapter 23 Help me change
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThey gasped as they pushed open the deep and saw Gavin his wings twisted, his head and neck on the floor with his body flopped over himself up against a wall.
"Help..." he whimpered as he looked up at the three mares. Rainbow Dash burst into laughter and fell onto the floor laughing. Applejack chuckled a bit and Pinkie Pie just stood there with a goofy grin, not really knowing what to do.
"Aww come on, stop laughing this hurts!" he whined. "But... It's... So... Darn... Funny!" replied Rainbow Dash, rolling on the floor, struggling to speak.
Gavin kicked his legs to try and flop himself over but he hardly moved.
"Please..." he moaned, his neck becoming stiff.
"Alright, ya silly stallion." said Applejack shaking her head before moving over to help him to his hooves. "How'd you even manage that?" asked Pinkie, "I've been trying to perfect that move for years!" she added.
"What?" was all Gavin managed before Applejack pushed his body over so he fell onto the ground, forelegs still stuck in the suit.
Rainbow Dash finally calmed down and stood up again to help Gavin. Pinkie on the other hoof was trying to mimic Gavin’s earlier position.
"Now you lift his forelegs up so he rests on mah back, then pull the suit off his hooves." ordered Applejack, still struggling to avoid a bit.
"Okay." replied the rainbow Pegasus, before doing as her friend instructed. She propped the stallion up onto Applejack's back and once he was stable, gently pulled his suit from his hooves.
"Oh thanks..." Gavin sighed happily as he stretched his forelegs out.
"Yer welcome." said Applejack, a kindly smile on her muzzle. Gavin stood up to stretched out his wings and hind legs and looked up at Rainbow Dash and Applejack.
"Wow, you guys look great." he complimented with a smile making them blush. They shared a glance and thanked Gavin in sync.
"No problem, anyway... Do you think you could help me get changed?" he mumbled, staring at the ground.
"I never thought I'd hear a full grown stallion say that." giggled Rainbow Dash as she picked the clothes up from the floor and patted it with her wings. Gavin’s scowl was priceless.
Applejack then took it and set it out on the floored that the leg holes were spread out and open.
"Now ya just step in and lift up." Applejack said calmly. Gain nodded and placed his hooves into the holes. He then lifted his fore legs into the air, picking up the suit, and the sleeves fell down and covered his legs.
"Hey it worked!" he yelled happily.
Rainbow Dash then kicked him in the flank causing him to kick his legs up as a natural reaction.
"Whoa!" he shouted as she quickly grabbed his pants and pulled them onto his hind legs. He plopped back onto the ground, suited up and ready for the Gala.
"Hey thanks." said Gavin.
"No problem." replied Rainbow Dash as she polished a hoof on her chest.
Rarity walked through the door and smiled widely when she saw Gavin in his tuxedo.
"Oh you look darling!" she exclaimed before levitating her comb into the room and roughly brushing his fringe, careful to retain his ‘style’.
"Hey... Ow!" he grumbled as the comb ran through his tangled mane.
"All done!" she announced before running out of the room.
Rarity quickly returned with the Tower of Pimps badge and carefully pinned it onto the left lapel of his jacket. She took a few steps back to check that he looked good.
"Perfect." she whispered to herself. She reached in and dragged everypony outside to greet Dan, Fluttershy and Twilight who were waiting for them in the main boutique.
"Hey Dan, lookin'... smart?" complemented Gavin seeing Dan dressed in his tux.
"And you." returned Dan before they were rushed through the door by Rarity.
"Come on ponies, we mustn't be late!" enforced Rarity as she shoved them through the door.
"Chill Rarity, we've got ages!" countered Rainbow Dash. Rarity scowled at her and continued to shuffle them forwards to the train station.
"Oh I'm so excited! It's gonna be the best party EVER!" yelled Pinkie Pie, almost blowing their ears.
"I think my ear drum just killed itself." whispered Dan, getting a quiet laugh from Gavin.
They trotted down the streets with style. Rarity led the way, strutting with her head held high in her new dress. Gavin and Dan trotted behind her, chatting and having a good time. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash followed them, followed by Pinkie and Applejack and finally Twilight. They turned heads as they walked through the town, ponies gasping at them and staring in awe, Gavin's Tower of Pimps badge catching the eye of the public.
When they arrived at the train station the ticket stallion knew where they were going immediately.
"Hello Rarity." he greeted half heartedly.
"Good evening." she returned with a flashy smile.
"So the train to Canterlot then?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
"Why yes, how can you tell?" she giggled, striking a pose.
"Yes Rarity, here are your tickets" he sighed, handing her six tickets.
Rarity thanked him and looked through them.
"Excuse me, but there are only six tickets here." she said with a flutter of her eyelashes.
"Aren't there six of you?" he questioned.
"No, we're traveling with Gavin and Dan." she replied. He looked at the stallions and they waved at him casually.
"Oh sorry, here you go." he said, handing her two more tickets.
She led the group onto the train where everypony took a seat.
"So..." mumbled Gavin, fiddling with his hooves.
"So..." added Dan lowly.
"Ah'm gon' sell so many apples!" yelled Applejack, trying to start a conversation.
"And I'm gonna meet the Wonder Bolts!" added Rainbow Dash.
"I'm going to talk with the princess..."
"I'll find the stallion of my dreams...
"I'll be at the best party ever..."
"Uhm...and I'll meet some new animal friends..."
"So you got some pretty high expectations for this thing huh?" asked Dan after they'd explained their hopes.
"Oh yes, all your dreams come true at the Gala!" replied Rarity.
"It's gonna be so cool." added Rainbow Dash.
Eventually the train arrived in Canterlot, allowing them to get off. Rarity led the way to the palace, in their arrow head formation. Heads turned to look at them as they strutted down the street, each one of them looking forwards with determined eyes.
"Gav?" Dan whispered quietly.
"Yeah?" replied Gavin, also in a whisper.
"What are we doing this for?"
"I dunno, I guess we look cool." replied Gavin. They shared a glance with raised eyebrows and looked back towards the palace, Dan winking at some mares as he turned his head.
When they arrived they all faced each other, smiling from ear to ear.
"Good bye!" All the mares said at once before trotting off in separate directions. Gavin and Dan looked around. They knew nopony, had no idea what to do, and had lost their friends.
"Well shit." grumbled Dan as he turned back to his friend.
"Hey look!" yelled Gavin, pointing towards an ash grey pegasus stallion.
When Long Shot saw Gavin, his eyes shot open and he tried to walk away slowly.
"Gavin what the hell?" remarked Dan, turning to look, "Who's that?"
"That's Long Shot!" replied Gavin, "Hey Long Shot!" he yelled, waving at the stallion. He snapped his head back around and tried to walk back slowly.
"I don't think he likes you." chuckled Dan, trotting over to him.
"Hello..." greeted Long Shot reluctantly.
"Hi." replied Dan with a warm smile, making Long Shot relax a bit.
"Hello!" added Gavin excitedly.
"Hi Gavin." mumbled the grey stallion.
"So..." muttered Dan.
"Are there any bevs around here?" asked Gavin.
"Bevs?" asked Long Shot, confused.
"Yeah, you know drinks, booze, alcohol." explained Gavin.
"Oh, uh... sadly no, but we could go get some punch." suggested Long Shot.
"Sounds good." replied Dan.
"Top!" added Gavin with a smile.
