"This is my first FanFiction. It's not going to be five-star caliber, but I think I did okay. And yes, this is a Rainbow Factory spinoff.
Prologue
"Sir, we have the "important evidence" you requested." Said the strange man. "Excellent. Now, new recruit, read this book. This book was written by Samuel Dash, the culprit of the "Rainbow Factory Disaster". It will catch you up to speed on just who we're trying to catch, give you important info about him and his life, and what happened at the Rainbow Factory.
Chapter One
It all started as just a normal day. The sun was shining, the wind was kept to a nice 5 mile an hour breeze coming from the west, and not a single cloud was to be found. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Samuel Zachary Dash, but everyone calls me Sam. I live in Cloudsdale with my sister, Rainbow Dash, and my brother, Thomas Dash. We also live with one of Rainbow Dash's friends, Fluttershy. She moved here after her cottage burnt down because her bunny, Angel, decided to play with matches one day. It is a miracle no one was hurt. So now she has to work with Rainbow Dash on weather patrol instead, (the animals left along with her cottage so she has nothing to care for). Rainbow Dash says Fluttershy's not too good at weather patrol, but she'll teach her all she knows. Rainbow Dash has lived a really rough life. Her dad passed away a month before she was born. (Me and Thomas are identical twins. We were both born 2 years before Rainbow Dash.) Her mom died giving birth to her, and our older sister, Daisy, was killed by a falling building. She was working at the Cloudsdale hotel when it collapsed, Fifty-six pegasi were killed that day, including Daisy, but that's not the worst part! Me, Thomas, and Rainbow went to visit her, but instead we had to see our own sister dead with a massive bloody shard of glass impaled through her stomach. Me and Thomas were depressed, but Rainbow Dash was mentally scarred. She never acted the same since! This happened six years ago, and she still talks to the picture of Daisy that sits next to her bed every night before she goes to sleep. Sometimes I worry for her mental health. Her and Daisy were really attached, too. They spent time with each other all the time. Daisy died at the age of twenty, and mom and dad both died at the age of forty-six. Celestia rest their souls. Rainbow Dash is Fifteen, me and Thomas are both Seventeen. We were about to graduate from high school, but we were forced into the Cloudsdale Military. I have no idea why they put two pegasi who haven't even graduated from high school in the military. Sometimes, I feel Cloudsdale is falling apart. I have to be stationed on the walls of Cloudsdale to make sure no one tries a "sneak attack". Thomas works in the base and repairs vehicles. This whole military draft was triggered by the two nations bordering Equestria fighting with one another until they started war. We wanted to be safe, so we set up defenses in case Equestria was attacked by one of these nations. So back to the story. Rainbow Dash had to leave early for weather duty today. She said something about needing to start a tornado I think. Fluttershy didn't seem too exited for that. After they left, I was all by myself. Thomas had to stay overnight at the base, so he wasn't here this morning. I finished my breakfast, then flew to the base. It only takes about ten minutes of flying to get there. I get my sniper, fly onto the walls, and just stand guard. After about ninety minutes, one of those cloud wasps stings me. Cloud wasps are wasps that live in the clouds. They come out if the cloud gets disturbed in some way. It isn't pretty if they sting you. Once they sting you, they send an electric pulse through their stinger and into your body. The painful effect lasts for about an hour until it goes away. So I get electrocuted by one of them, and accidentally smack one of the grenades on my uniform. Which causes the pin to pop out, and the grenade to fall inside the walls of Cloudsdale. I yell "grenade"! As loud as I can, and everybody gets out of the way in time. The grenade explodes, and a bunch of cloud wasps come out, and start stinging everybody. General Earl tells me that even though I "saved" everyone from my own grenade, I still am removed from the military for causing potential harm to one of my fellow troops. I turn in my uniform, sniper rifle, and badge, and head for home, Disappointed.
Chapter Two
I arrive at the house. I'm not used to being home so early. It's about eleven in the morning. I usually get off around ten at night. I decide to run some errands around Cloudsdale. I go grocery shopping, and do other really boring tasks. Once I get home, it's half past noon. Desperate to pass the time, I try to take a nap. After about an hour, I manage to go to sleep. I wake up at six to a loud *bang* noise. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are home from weather patrol. I walk out into the living room where Dash and Fluttershy are. Before I get a chance to open my mouth, Rainbow Dash yells at me. "SO WHAT DID YOU DO!?!" I really didn't know how to reply to that. I was extremely puzzled on how she knew already. Fluttershy got scared, and walked away, whimpering. I swear to god, I've never heard Fluttershy talk before. I reply "I got kicked out of the CMDF. (Cloudsdalian Military Defense Force). Also, how did you find out so quickly?" "You think I'm stupid?" she replies. "You could hear that explosion from half way across the city, God dammit! I have a huge failure while on weather duty, and now this? To hell with that!" She then stomped out into her room. There were no tornado sirens, so I guess the tornado was unsuccessful. Fluttershy then walked out of her room. I guess she just wanted to be as far away from Rainbow Dash as possible. "Sorry about what happened at the base." And that's Fluttershy said. She then walked away. I couldn't help but smile. It's about time she spoke! I didn't think that was possible until now. After about an hour of watching television, and listening to Rainbow Dash yell in her room, Thomas came home. "Fuck, dude. You really caused shit to hit the fan at the base today. I mean, Earl gave us a fucking two hour lecture about safety today after you left. So now what?" "What do you mean? I finish my senior year." "Well yeah, but where are you going to work on the weekends? It's Monday tomorrow, and I can't even go to school because of this CMDF shit, so it's gonna be pretty weird finishing my senior year if I don't get out soon." "I'll have to find something, finding employment can't be that ha-" "I HATE MY LIFE!!!" "What the hell was that?" "Rainbow Dash didn't succeed in her tornado today." "Oh okay. I'll go try and calm her down." I tried to warn him that she probably isn't gonna have any of it, but he walked off straight into Rainbow's room. Which probably won't end well.
Chapter Three
The next morning I wake up to a loud *thump* noise. It's seven A.M.,the same time I usually wake up, so I guess that kind of works as an alarm, but still, I kind of want to know what that was. So I go into the main room, and find Thomas with a huge gash on his ankle. "Holy fuck dude! What the hell did you do!?!" I ask. He replies,"How am I supposed to know? I woke up like this!" After bandaging the wound, Dash and Fluttershy wake up. "So, you're telling me, you both slept through us yelling and screaming?" I said. "No, we just both lied in our rooms until you guys shut up." Rainbow dash said. Obviously still pissed from yesterday. "So you weren't one bit intrigued on how Thomas got a HUGE gash on his ankle?" "Thomas got a gash on his ankle?" I facepalmed. So we all started talking about what could've caused it, then I notice Rainbow hiding the side of her front right leg. "What are you doing?" I asked. She said "I have no idea what you're talking about." "your leg." " what about it? It's fine, see? Oh, shit!" She shows us her leg to reveal a moderately small blood stain on her leg. "What the hell? So you tried to kill Thomas? Why? Oh, that's right, he tried to calm you down last night. I told you it wouldn't end well, bro." "I didn't do it! I don't know how that got there. Maybe I did it during my sleep?" "I'll take your word for it this time, but I'm sleeping with a pistol under my pillow from now on." I have no idea why Dash would try to kill Thomas, and I know it's not because he tried to calm her down. Did Daisy's death really tear Rainbow that much? So after that fiasco was over, we all went to school (except for Thomas). Our high school hours run from nine A.M. To three P.M. They are pretty short hours, but that doesn't make it any less boring. When we got home, I snatched a newspaper from our mailbox, and went to see what I could find. I looked through the employment section, found some interesting things. I found the lookout position I opened up. I was kind of interested in seeing how fast that would get taken up, it probably would take a week. Then, I found the job I was interested in. Way off in the back of Cloudsdale, there is a facility called "The Rainbow Factory". There are a lot of conspiracies people come up with about The Rainbow Factory. For instance, some people say that the rainbows there are actually made from other ponies. That sounds absolutely ridiculous though, if that were true, they would get found out, sued, sent to prison, the factory would get shut down, and then get demolished. It's a really stupid story, I then applied. The application form was easy to fill out:

The last thing I had to fill out was a picture of myself, and I was done. So I mailed in my application. The next day I found out that I got the job. I was excited to start on Saturday.
Chapter Four
Saturday arrived eventually. I was incredibly excited to start my first day at The Rainbow Factory. So after morning preparations, I took off, and headed straight for the factory. It was a long fly. It takes about fifty minutes to fly to the factory from my house, but I can take it. After all, I WAS in the military, right? I passed by the school, where the pegasi were taking their graduation exam. After about thirty more minutes I finally reached the factory. I was greeted by a yellow and red striped pegasus named Steve. Steve was cool. He asked if I was the new guy, I told him I was, and then he handed me a map of the factory. Turns out the factory is just a rectangle with a huge main room in the center. I asked him what the big middle room was, and he told me he was going to give me a tour of the factory. He explained that the "main room" was the room he was going to cover last, and that it was the room I was to work at. The first room we came to was the gallery. The gallery was a room filled with pictures of the pegasi that helped make rainbows. There were over 2,500 portraits there. There was a picture of a green and yellow Pegasus named Aurora, and next to it there was a picture of a dark colored Pegasus named Orion. Oh! And there was a picture of Scootaloo. I thought it was cool that she got to help make a rainbow. At the end of the gallery, there were three pictures of the current and past owners of the factory. Lightning Dust, Spitfire, and Grim. Grim was the current owner. Steve said I would meet Grim in the main area. So we continued, the second room was a meeting room. No one was in here. We went to the third room which were rooms for the seven workers, two supervisors, and the owner. The rooms contained a bed, desk, cabinet, phone, computer, and a door to a balcony in which you could fly straight down to the factory's main room as a shortcut. In return, you could fly straight up to the balcony from the main room to get to your room quicker, too. Steve told me not to go out to the balcony. That would ruin the surprise of the main room. The last room was the big main room. He said that when I get inside to not get disturbed, and that I will get used to it eventually. I didn't understand what he meant until the titanium doors opened.
Chapter Five
Once the doors opened, I saw one of the most disturbing, horrifying, and unforgettable things of my life. There was blood everywhere! It was like a slaughterhouse in here, because it was! Apart from the blood and dead bodies, there was a machine. What that machine did was turn kids into rainbows in the most treacherous way. I saw a group of little kids huddled in the corner of the room. They were obviously the victims. There was cookies and punch by the door. Steve explained the whole plan to me: "It all begins at the school. At the school the kids have to take a "final exam", this final exam is a simple flying test. Most pass, but only a couple fail. Since it is such a simple test, whoever fails the test is considered an utter embarrassment to Cloudsdale. They can't live here, or else they will give Cloudsdale a bad reputation. Since they are now considered worthless, they are sent to the Rainbow Factory. On the way there, they are ridiculed and harassed by the pegasi that bring them there. They are then brought inside, and given a tour. While being harassed some more along the way, they are finally brought to the main room, (the room I'm in now) and executed. Some pegasi at the factory look at it as if they're giving them value. Instead of being a "worthless little runt that can't fly for shit", they are now a beautiful rainbow. Even though it will fade eventually, at least they were part of something." Then Steve showed me how to do my job. He took me over to a little platform with a control panel on it. "This is where the machine is controlled." he said," Here, let me show you how it works, Michael! Bring one of the little runts over here, will ya!?!" So Michael put one of the kids on the machine. The kid started squirming and screaming as soon as Michael picked him up, but he got him nonetheless. Steve then showed me how to operate the machine. First, he made a huge claw come down and grab the kid. You could tell Steve tightened the claw around the kid just tight enough so it wouldn't pierce his skin, but tight enough to induce pain and fear. Second, he lifted the kid high over the air above a large container. Third, he lowered a huge scalpel down. That thing was sharp and covered with blood. The kid was now coughing because he was screaming so much. Fourth, the scalpel pierced his forehead. Instantly killing him. There was a huge amount of blood that shot out, almost hitting us, but after that, his head was just dripping. Fifth, the scalpel was removed from his head, and a tube was lowered down into the incision on his forehead. All of a sudden, the colors on his skin, mane, tail, and cutie mark went away. You could then see the colors from the child being funneled into a collection vat, where they were separated and put into multiple large collection tanks, one tank per color of the rainbow. Finally the colorless corpse was dropped into the large container along with the other decomposing colorless dead bodies.
Chapter Six
Steve then told me to ask Grim if I had any other questions, and then he tried to walk off, but I stopped him before he could get very far. "What the fuck, man?!? You don't do this shit! What's the point of killing kids just for rainbows? You can't do this!" He replied with; "Look man, I know you're new, and you're acting just like all new employees, but you get used to it after a while! Also, one more thing, don't tell anyone about what happens up in this shit, or it's gonna be you in that thing." Then he walked off, and let me to do the dirty work. So I called for Michael, and he brought over this child named Rose. Rose had a cutie mark of a crayon, and some paper. So I guess she liked to draw and color a lot. Her mane was a beet red, and she had bright pink skin. After trying to get to know her as well as possible, I had to initiate the rainbow process. She started to scream and plead "No! I want to go home, I'll leave Cloudsdale, so it's rep won't get ruined!" I look over at Grim, (who just sits there, and watches to make sure nothing goes wrong.) He picked up a watermelon, took a huge knife out of the pocket in his uniform, and stabbed the watermelon. This guy really creeps me out. I guess that meant I had to do it, So I proceeded. Rose was at begging point now. She kept asking for retakes and stuff like that. "If I retake the test I'm sure I can pass it! Just let me go home!" I couldn't listen to her suffer anymore, so I just stabbed her with the scalpel to get it over with. After removing her colors, getting splashed with blood, and disposing of the corpse, Grim walked up to me and patted me on the back. "Nice first kill. I saw ya almost give in to her beggin'. That's why I did the whole watermelon thing. Keep ya focused, ya know?" "Y-yeah." I replied. "Here take this." he handed me my Rainbow Factory uniform. It contained a few knives of varying sizes, a small handgun with ammo, and a radio. Of course I also had to wear a mask to hide my identity. "Ya use the blades if the machines break down, the pistol for self defense, and the radio to talk to all the employees, the two supervisors, and me. Now get back to work, faggot. As he walked away, he started singing about how in The Rainbow Factory, not a single soul gets through, or something along those lines. This guy belongs in a fucking mental asylum. I then went back to work, and executed fifteen more children after that. When I got home at nine, just like Rainbow Dash, I was scarred. I really didn't want to talk, but I also didn't want to act suspicious. Fluttershy was messed up today. She cought a really bad flu or something. She went to bed immediately after throwing up a couple times. Damn. Rainbow Dash said she was going to bring her to the hospital before work tomorrow. I, for one was not looking forward to Sunday. I didn't feel like being awake, so I went to bed early. Dash thought I was sick too, but I told her I was fine, and proceeded to think about the seventeen lives I ended today before I fell into a deep sleep.
Chapter Seven
I walked into The Rainbow Factory this morning, and walked in on a group of children taking the tour of their lives. It was really messed up since I knew what was going to happen to each of them. I went into the "rainbow chamber" (main room) to start when I saw Grim yelling at one of the employees. He was yelling at her for trying to sneak kids out of the factory to freedom. He said if she tries this one more time, she gets thrown in the machine with all of the kids. She said she didn't like working here, and that she was starting to go insane. Grim didn't care. He just told her to get back to work and not to start conflict. She punched him, then stormed off. Grim's probably gonna keep an eye on that bitch for a while. Then it was back to good old execution. After about six kills, Grim announced over the radio that we were gonna get some new equipment for us to use in the factory. He said it was gonna be ready in the evening, and a couple of us needed to go and pick it up. He said Henrietta and Francine were gonna go get it since no one volunteered. Henrietta was the employee who was getting yelled at this morning, and Francine was one of the two supervisors. After all of that, I continued with rainbow production. The next kid on the chopping block was Roger. Roger was an alicorn, and... wait what? I walked over to Grim to ask why we were executing an alicorn. I mean, aren't they supposed to be royalty or something? He replied by telling me that this kid was only up here because he was a huge hardass, and he was a huge jerk to everypony, so that's why he was being executed. He said that alicorns weren't supposed to be executed, and he passed his exam, but he was such a huge asshole he had to die. I didn't agree, but i still just accepted that, and proceeded. Right when I was about to trigger the scalpel, he threw a rock at the control panel, and hit the release button. What aim! The claw loosened, and he glided down perfectly fine, and yelled "viva la revolution!" Then all the kids (around twenty of them) starting attacking workers with their bare hooves, and Roger just threw rocks at us, Grim obviously didn't like this happening in his factory, so he told us to take out our pistols, and shoot on sight we did so, and the "Rainbow Revolution" was on!
Chapter Eight
The fight ended quickly. Roger knew as soon as everyone took out their handguns that it was all over. You could tell he wanted to surrender, but he couldn't since we were all shooting at him and his comrades. The supervisors jumped down from their balconies and joined the fight. They didn't need to, but they did anyway. I remember I shot two pegasi, both in the head. I definitely prefer this over brutally stabbing them, but Grim doesn't. The creepy bastard. Finally, Roger was the only one left. Covered in blood from his fellow rebels and himself. He was shot in the side, and bleeding out fast. Roger hit Grim in the head with his last rock. Grim's temper exploded. He took his machete, and stabbed it straight through Roger's head. Everyone watched, even the supervisors. "Look at all these wasted bodies!" Grim yelled. "Can't we get the color out, still?" one employee asked. "No. They need to be executed the old fashioned way, or else the colors won't be as pure." Grim said. I then asked; "We're out of kids, what do we do now?" One supervisor looked at me strange, I don't know why though. "Either we wait for more, or we go get the new equipment early. I find it ironic that the new equipment is designed to help us fight a revolution." Grim replied. We decided to go get the new equipment, so we did and we brought it back to the factory. We opened up the crate, and inside were a bunch of bright pointy sticks. Grim spoke; "These are shock charges. When kids rebel against us, we use these. What they do is they explode when someone gets near them, and it electrocutes everyone who is near. Understood?" Everyone nodded their head, and Grim said we could leave early since there was nothing left to do, but little did I know a bigger shock than that of a shock charge awaited me at home.
Chapter Nine
I opened the front door, and guess what was sitting on the futon watching TV? Rainbow Dash. I spoke; "Why the hell are you here?" She jumped, startled obviously. "I got off of work early." She replied. "Same here..." at this point I was thinking that either this was some insane coincidence, or something else. I thought it was highly doubtful she worked at the Rainbow Factory, though. "So, where's Fluttershy?" I asked. "If you got off work early, shouldn't she be here, too?" "She's in the hospital, that flu hit her pretty hard. She might be in there for a couple weeks." "Is it life-threatening?" "If she doesn't get proper treatment, yes, but she's in the hospital, so I think she's good." "I still find it weird that you got off work the same time I did." She was shaking now, by now, I think I knew what was going on. "Where do you work, exactly? you never told me that." she asked. Now, in this situation I could either answer truthfully, lie, or turn the tables. I bet you know which one I chose. "Rainbow, I think the true question here is where do you work?" Man that was cheesy, but whatever. "Sam, quit playing games with me, because I think we're going to realize something really disturbing about each other. There was a guy at work today who asked my boss a question and he sounded just like you." "No. No no no no no no no no no no. YOU were that supervisor who gave me that funny look?" "Y-Yeah." after that, we just stared at each other for a little bit, and just gave each other mixed looks if sadness, disappointment, and anger. It's bad enough she never got to see her parents, it's bad enough she had to see her sister's dead bloody body, but now she has to work at a facility where kids are murdered on a regular basis. Dash, You are committing mental suicide! She finally spoke. You could tell she was on the verge of crying just by her voice. "Well, I guess we're in this together, now." At the time, I didn't realize the creepiness of two murderers sitting next to each other on a futon, watching the two o'clock news together, but then again, I probably realized. I just didn't care. We were technically murderers, but technically not. Rainbow should've looked into what The Rainbow Factory was before signing up for it, then again, look who's talking. Then again, she is my little Dashie, and I gotta look out for her. We both fell asleep on the futon, only to awaken to Thomas coming home. He greeted us with a "sup", and walked into his room. Rainbow said she wanted to tell me more, but not where Thomas could over hear. So we snuck into the cellar. She then explained that ever since she's worked at the factory, she's had dreams of her killing ponies at free will, and she's been known to sleepwalk ever since. That's why Thomas got that huge gash. Dash sleep stabbed him! Rainbow explained that she was horrified and scarred, and didn't want to hurt anybody. She started to cry, so I patted her on the back and reassured her. That's the closest me and Dash have been since her sister died, and I fear for her. Badly.
Chapter Ten
"We should tell Thomas." "ARE YOU CRAZY!?!" Rainbow snapped. "We can't hide it from him forever." "Okay, fine. Let's go tell him." "Wait!" "What?" "Does Fluttershy work with you, and is she really in the hospital for the flu?" "The answer to both of your questions is yes. Fluttershy was torn apart mentally by the Rainbow Factory. I didn't want to bring her into it, but I also didn't want to be alone. I guess I'm just greedy." "Dash, you're not greedy. I think we would all do the same thing. Trust me, no one wants to handle a nightmare alone." "Yeah I guess." If you combined distress, horror, and depression, that would match the look on Dash's face right now. You could tell she was in a living nightmare. One in which she could never wake up from. "Why do you call me that?" "Call you what?" "Dash. Or sometimes, Dashie." "What about it?" "You call me by my last name, which is all of our last names. So shouldn't we all call each other Dash?" "Well, probably because it fits you the most. Dash, I know you're going through some tough shit right now with Daisy, the Factory, and all that, but trust me, it gets better." "Okay." and with that she walked off. We went to talk to Thomas, who was pigging out on food in the living room. "Oh, there you two are!" He said. "I was wondering where you two were." "Thomas?" Rainbow started. "Yes?" "I have something I need to tell you." "What is it?" "Me and Sam, we sorta work at this thing called the Rainbow Factory, and the rumors about it are... true. They do actually grind ponies into rainbows. You can't tell anyone, though! Or we get turned to rainbows!" "Well, that's nice. I've got murderers for family. Perfect!" "It's not like that! We were forced into it!" "But still, you're murderers, it don't matter if you were forced into it or not. You still killed, and that's all that matters. I won't tell anyone though, but just remember I'm only doing this because you're my family." "Okay." we both said. Me, and Rainbow had school tomorrow, while Thomas had to stay at the base. This was gonna be an interesting school week.
Chapter Eleven
The entire school week was horrifying. Not because of what went on, but of what awaited us on Saturday. I was getting used to the whole kid massacre thing, actually. The thing that makes it so disturbing was that I know Rainbow works there now. Sometimes I think the supervisors' jobs are even worse than mine! The supervisors have to sit in their offices, and send the parents an alternate way of how their kid went missing, or sometimes even go to the extent of saying their child is dead. They have to deal with the replies, and try to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Usually by saying something along the lines of "there's nothing we can do." Rainbow Dash has to do that, and once again, I have to say I'm worried about what that does to her mental health. My mind's already fucked up, so I really don't care about my own health. Me and Rainbow flew off together, and arrived after around an hour of flying. We walked in on some kids taking the tour of their lives, and put on our uniforms. After that, we had to get separated. I had to go to the room of hell with Grim, and Rainbow had to go to her office. I walked in at the perfect time. Grim was demonstrating the shock charges. Some poor, defenseless little kid was the test subject. He threw one next to him, and the kid stood there, frozen. He knew if he moved one millimeter he would see something very "shocking". "Do it, Michael." Michael brought over a stereo, and pushed play. After that you heard "CALL NINE-ONE-ONE NOW!!", and a bunch of dubstep noises after that. That scared the shit out of the little kid, and made him jump, triggering the shock charge. After that, a bunch of sparks and small bolts of lightning went everywhere. The kid was just laying on the ground twitching. "C-c-can I leave now?" He asked. "Fuck no." Grim replied, and the kid just sat there, and took that. After executing him and a few others, it was lunch break, and at lunch, everyone sits at one table. Me and Rainbow sat next to each other. I also had to sit next to Grim. "So I just noticed that Sam and Rainbow are brother and sister." Grim said. "Yeah, we are. How did you just notice that now?" Rainbow replied. "I don't know. I guess I just noticed that now. Where's Fluttershy?" "In the hospital with the flu. She's gonna get out today, they were saying." "Thank god. I'm sick of having to run this shorthanded." "So, Sam, why are you so quiet today? I haven't even heard you speak yet." "Grim, I dunno. I have mass execution, and my sister's sanity to worry about rather than starting a conversation." "I'm fine, Sam. Don't worry about me." I didn't reply, and neither did Grim. I hope he's aware that my sister is affected by this ten times worse than anyone else is, and that he should keep an eye on her, but it is grim, so who knows what he is thinking. We finished the day. Later that night I saw Rainbow Dash's Wonderbolts poster crumpled up and thrown in the trash.
Chapter Twelve
I woke up at one in the morning to a bang at the door. There was a thunderstorm outside, so who could be at the door at this hour? I open up the door to Fluttershy standing there soaked in water. "What are you doing here!?!" I ask. She replies with "I got released from the hospital. Remember?" "At this hour?" "There were a bunch of patients. So they had to get me out of there ASAP." "Well go get yourself dried off, and go to bed. We need you at the Rainbow Factory tomorrow." "Wait, what? H-how did you find out?" "Rainbow Dash told me. Apparently we all work there. What do you do there, anyway?" "I have to form the rainbows out of the colors the executioner makes. What do you do?" "I'm the executioner." "Oh. That sucks. You got the worst job. I'm going to go dry now. 'Night." "Who are you talking to?" "Oh, Rainbow, Fluttershy got released apparently." "At this hour?" "Yeah." "Well, I'll see her in the morning then. I'm too tired to go say hi now." I'd bet those two weeks in the hospital were better than working at the factory. Then again, she did have a sore throat, nausea, vomiting, and a 104° fever. So I guess the factory is probably better. I then went to sleep, and when I woke up, Rainbow was talking to Fluttershy about what happened at the Hospital, and why she got out so late. Fluttershy told her about why she got let out so late, and Rainbow said that was bullshit, and they could've gotten her sick again by throwing her out in the rain. When we got to the factory, Grim greeted Fluttershy and welcomed her back. Seems like a pretty innocent greeting for a slaughterhouse. Rainbow and Fluttershy got to their posts and all was well. But not for long. Fluttershy got her wing stuck in the Rainbow Machine's conveyor belt as it was rolling towards a hot pool of liquid rainbows. That thing had to be over two-thousand degrees. Grim immediatley ran over and tried to get Fluttershy out, but the conveyor was moving fast. Grim had no choice. He took out his knife, and cut Fluttershy's left wing off. She screamed, loudly. The supervisors were watching the whole thing from their balconies. Fluttershy's left wing dropped down into the pool of liquid rainbows, and pretty much disintegrated. Brightening the colors slightly. Looking over at Fluttershy, her back was covered in blood, and she was bleeding out fast. Rainbow Dash got the first-aid kit, and we all gathered in a circle, and watched Grim perform first-aid on Fluttershy's wing. He cleaned it up, and bandaged it. Afterwards, he gave her a cookie to maintain blood sugar levels. She was dizzy, and went home early. One of the employees helped her get there. Everyone was in shock about what just happened. Even the kids. Rainbow Dash had tears in her eye. While I felt more disturbed than I did sad. I never feel sad. I can't even remember the last time I cried. Probably when I was a baby, but that's it. At the end of the day we went to check on Fluttershy at home.
Chapter Thirteen
When we got home, Fluttershy was hiding in her room. We told her to come out, but she wouldn't. She said it was really bad. We asked her why, and she said it was because of surgery she had while we were gone. "That's a quick surgery" I said. She replied with "Yeah, it was. But I'm not coming out. Trust me, you guys will think way less of me." After about fifteen minutes of constant persuasion, we finally got her to come out. When she did come out, she didn't have wings! The one wing Grim cut off was only just a nub, and now that was gone, and so was her other wing that was perfectly fine. She said only one wing meant she couldn't fly anyway, so she donated the other one, and got the rest of the cut one removed. She was technically an earth pony now, but she is still considered a pegasus due to being born with wings. Due to her not having wings, she would have to walk/run to the Rainbow Factory. Thomas then got home. "Woah! Fluttershy's back! I didn't notice that until now. Is that a bad thing?" "I dunno." Rainbow started "You keep having to stay nights at the base, so I guess it's excused." "Why doesn't she have wings? Or am I just seeing shit?" "Freak accident at the Rainbow Factory today." "Don't explain further. I understand. You guys really should resign, and get a new job." "I wish it was that simple, but the only way you can quit the Rainbow Factory is by retiring, or death." I explained. "Oh, that makes sense, I guess..." It's no use trying to explain stuff to Thomas. Just in one ear and out the other, I guess.
-Three Weeks Later-
Man, work was a bitch today. Having to carry Fluttershy in that cart is fucking tiring. So we all sat down and turned on the TV. We were instantly greeted with the following news broadcast; "Breaking News!! About two hours ago, there was a massive explosion at the Cloudsdale military base today. Killing four, and injuring nineteen. The explosion was occurred in the vehicle garage. It was said to be caused by sparks colliding with gasoline from a leaky gas tank. The deceased were of the following." At this point we all were praying Thomas wasn't among them. "Cooper Smith" Okay. "Earl Headstrom" Earl died? Damn. Two to go, now. Rainbow was already tearing up, as we anxiously awaited the last two names. "Sally Walker" One to go. "And finally, Thomas Dash." Like always, I felt really depressed, but I didn't cry. Fluttershy was crying, but nothing compared to Rainbow's reaction, she broke into a massive rage. She picked up the remote, and threw it straight through the TV. She then walked into her room, and shut the door. All you heard after that was a lot of loud noises of stuff breaking, and clashing into other things. I decided to give her privacy. I decided to go to bed, since Thomas won't be coming home tonight.
Chapter Fourteen
That morning the Cloudsdale flags were lowered to half staff to honor those dead in the explosion back at the base. Me and Fluttershy woke up, and by the time we had to go there was no sign of Rainbow Dash. I walked into her room to see her just sitting there. "Rainbow, get up. We have to go." "Why? Just so we can end more innocent lives? Look at it this way Sam, we kill what, twenty-five kids daily? That's like twenty-five Thomases. We're killing someone's family member just like ours got killed. I refuse to do it. Tell them I'm sick, tell them I'm injured, FUCK! TELL THEM I'M DEAD!" "Rainbow, they'll come after you, thou-" "I don't care! Just leave me alone." "Fine. Take care of yourself while we're gone." So we left. Once we got in there, we walked past the kids taking the "tour of their lives", and to our stations. Grim asked me where Rainbow Dash was, and I told him she was at home sick. He told me to help her get better because he didn't want to be down a supervisor, and walked off. I couldn't keep my mind off of Rainbow Dash, and what she was doing at home. I was worried she was taking up one of those nasty things that they talk about on the TV all the time. (back when we had a TV.) Like drugs or something. But I know Dash better than that. She would never do something like that, ever. When we got home, it was awfully quiet. Once we walked into Rainbow Dash's room, we saw one of the worst things we could ever see. We saw Rainbow Dash there, dead, in a pool of blood, with my revolver next to her. I picked up my revolver, opened the cylinder, and saw one casing fall out. She shot herself. Next to her was a note. I read it out loud: "Dear Sam and Fluttershy, I am writing this letter to address a few things. You are probably wondering to yourself why I did this, and that is because I can't take this anymore. I have had four of my closest family die before I even became an adult. I feel as if I am a bad luck charm, and I don't want to cause anymore harm to myself or others. Sam, thank you for talking care of me all these years. You are the brother I feel so lucky to have had. Fluttershy... I'm sorry I put you through this. I should've let you stay with Twilight, or AppleJack. Stay strong! Sincerely, Rainbow F Dash.
Chapter Fifteen (Ending)
I was done. You kill my fucking sister? Now you're going to pay you piece of shit. I flew to the Rainbow Factory, and I brought a high powered suitcase bomb with me. After what happened to my sister, the only person I cared about was Fluttershy. I actually stole this bomb from the base once I first joined the military. "GRIM!" I yelled. "Sam! It's closing hours! What the fuck are you doing here?!?" "While I was at work my sister killed herself. Because of the mental pain from this piece of shit factory!" Sam then set the bomb for one minute, and set the fuse. The timer began ticking down... 59... 58... 57... 56... "Sam! What the fuck!?? Look I'm sorry about your sister, okay! Just turn that thing off! 42... 41... "I don't think I want to, Grim! You're going to get what you deserve!" 29... 28... "Well, then. Sam, you have been a good friend to me, but I'm not going down without a fight!" Grim lunged at Sam with a knife, and stabbed his hoof. 9... 8... "You're going down with me, Sam!" The only thing Sam could do then was sink into the cloud floor for just a little bit of blast protection. 2... 1... 0. A massive explosion shook Cloudsdale. The Rainbow Factory blowing to smithereens, killing almost everyone inside. A local news station reported "Secret of the Rainbow Factory revealed! ground up kids is what makes our beautiful rainbows. The culprit of the explosion is also said to be executioner Samuel Dash. Brother of Rainbow and Thomas Dash, who both have tragic deaths in the past day. Sam went on a tragedy induced rage, and destroyed the Factory. Says Grim, ex-owner of the factory. Him and Sam survived the explosion by hiding below the cloud layer, under the bomb's explosion. Grim faces life in prison, while Sam is still at large. This tragedy bring the great Rainbow Factory to a pitiful

"Nicely done, recruit. Now we just need to find that culprit Sam, and bring him to justice. Where do you suppose he might be?" "You never know, he might be just around the corner." the recruit said, just showing a glimpse of the locket he wore around his neck, which contained a picture of his brother, and his rainbow colored sister.
