Prologue (my way of saying teaser)

Alarms were blaring, lights flashing, and the console sparked and caught fire. All points leading to the undeniable fact that they failed again.

They sat in silence, awaiting their all too common fate that befell them on each of their many misadventures. One was fuming over how her partners were complete morons. Another was brooding over the incoming physical pain from the imminent destruction of their machine, and the wrath of his female companion. While the last, and shortest of the group, decided to break the silence.

“Whelp, we blew it again…”

“It was all HIS fault!” the red-head snorted, pointing an accusing finger at the blue-haired male.

“Was not! How was I supposed to know the net launcher wasn’t insulated?” He cried indignantly.

The room began to shake with the incoming failure of the nuclear engines.

The short one looked up at his two closest friends. They had been together from the very start, and although they didn't always get along, they always stuck together. And now with the End seemingly so near he couldn't help but remember the good old days, before they got relocated to Unova.

“Hey guys.” He piped up above the increasing noise,” Let’s say dat old line, for old time’s sake.”

The other two looked slightly shocked at his request, but their expressions quickly relaxed. Even the hot headed red-head managed a small smile as they embraced for what may be the last time.

And as a bright white light enveloped the entire Mecha Meowth V5.0, the age old line of the three companions rang forth, proud and true until the bitter end.

“TEAM ROCKET’S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!!”

And the world faded to white…
