Introduction
The wind blew as a hooded figure crept towards the large tree house in the middle of ponyville. They continue to walk forward stopping every so often to check to make sure no one was following them. Their red and black striped hair swayed behind them in the cold night. They quietly walked up to the door before placing a small black evelope on the doorstep. As their dark red aura faded from the note, they quickly knocked and the door and walked away smiling their ruby red eyes glowing in the moonlight. A younge boy opened the door and picked up the letter and turned around his green hair swirling as he did so.
"Twilight, there's a note at the door!" he yelled up into the library scratching his head "There's no marking on who it's from!".
Twilight walked down the stairs a towl wraped around he torso, she walked by the small boy smiling raising her had as a lavender aura surrounded the letter "did you happen to see who dropped it off spike?" she asked raising an eyebrow looking over the black and red envelop, whoever had sent it had put in alot of hard work. She quickly cast a spell on it finding nothing suspicious on it, she shrugged and quickly opened it. She pulled out a letter and started reading it, the small green haired boy walking over standing next to her.
Dear Reader,
You have been chosen to compete in a tournament of strength. We thank you for taking the chance for us to find out just how well the citizens of Equestria are able to defend themselves. The tournament will start in three days time. The prizes of the tournament include anything you could possibly imagine; money, power, men, women, political authority. You will be leaving at exactly 12:00am so be prepared

Twilight looked at the note "tournament of strength?" she said scanning her eyes over the letter again and again "what does that even mean, and their going to pick me up at midnight?" she said before taking a deep breath. She looked at the letter again, there was something suspicious going on, and the only way to find out would be to go with it. She turned to spike "Spike im gonna have to go with it" she said looking down at him "your going to have to look after the library while im gone" she said quickly running up to the bedroom tossing her usual outfit on. She quickly went to the closet and started packing cloths into a suitcase.
"but Twilight, what if its a trap!" he yelled running over and grabbing her shirt
"then i'll find out when they show up" she said looking down at him and rubbing her hand on his head "i'll be fine spike" she said with a laugh. she quickly packed her things and set them out ready to go, "now all we do is wait for midnight" she said looking out her window at the moon.
The hooded figure smiled walking away from the library into ponyville, as soon as they were off of the main streets they flipped the hood back their long hair becoming released. it went down to mid back and was a dark red with two black stripes running over each shoulder. She smiled as she walked forward "now for the rest" she said with a smile pulling out several more notes before disappearing into a red fire.
Twilight watched the clock anxiously, it was almost midnight. Spike was long asleep, but what if he was right and it was a trap! She quickly stood up and took a deep breath "that's rediculous twilight" she said to herself with a laugh. It was about ten till midnight. She looked down holding the black and red envelope wondering who it could be from.
As the clock ticked closer and closer to midnight twilight finally decided to write a letter to celestia and have spike send it in the morning. she got out a quill and a piece of paper and sat down at her small writing desk.
Dear Princes Celestia,
I recieved a letter at the door today, there is no information on who or where it's from. It said i was invited to a tournament i went along with it to see what is going on, please reply ASAP.
she closed the envelope away listening as she heard the bell chime telling her it was midnight. she closed the letter in an envelope leaving it next to spike with a note telling him to send it when he woke up. She looked at the door waiting for someone to knock or to bust it down. She stood there for a few minutes before opening the note again.
"i thought they said they would be here to get me at midnight" she said suddenly there was a flash of light from the note and she was gone.
