Chapters A squirrel scurried out of a tree, landing lightly on the ground. It was nibbling on an acorn, which was clutched in its paws, clearly not paying attention to it's surroundings.Hiding in the bushes was a camouflaged Pegasus, wings tucked to her sides, bent down, and ready to pounce.
The squirrel peered around, scanning the woods for danger. It seemed to have second thoughts about being were it was, but it was too late to reconsider. Out of the bushes came the Pegasus, wings apart to help her gain height. She landed on top of the squirrel who struggled in her grip.
The mare held her prey in between her hooves, squeezing, but not to hard. Just hard enough so that it couldn't move.
The mare's once chocolate brown irises changed to a teal, and eventually began to glow white. A trail of white smoke came from the squirrel, who was completely lifeless in the mare's grasp. When the last of the smoke was gone, the pony's eyes went from a burning white back to their chocolate brown, and the squirrel remained lifeless on the ground.
Ever since Nightmare Moon's defeat, the mare had spent her days in the Everfree Forest. She was now nothing but a string of dark blue mist, dependent off of her host, which in this case, was a brown-coated, green-maned, Pegasus who had been wondering the Everfree. Because of her lack of a body, Nightmare had to feed off the life-energy of other creatures. Life energy was ultimately the thing that kept everything alive, and every living thing had it.
Since Nightmare Moon lacked a body, she had to possess creatures and suck the life out of other creatures in order to live. But while Nightmare Moon needed nothing but life energy, the pony she possessed, Cami, needed actual food.
Nightmare Moon picked up her prey and buried it in a pile of dirt and leaves. The mare put her saddlebags around her neck and flew into the air, wind rustling in her mane. It felt nice, really, to just be in the air. To feel the cold breeze over her face, the setting sun beating down on her coat, and the view from her height was amazing.
Eventually, however, Nightmare Moon spotted her house. If you could call it a house.
Gracefully, Nightmare landed on the ground, and trotted into her house. It was a small cottage, in a small clearing, just a little ways away from where the old castle had once stood. The home had once belonged to an old earth pony colt. Well, he was dead now.
The Pegasus pushed open the door, and entered the home. It wasn't exactly a palace, but it was better than nothing.
The living room was nothing but a TV and a couch, and the kitchen was nothing more than a few dusty old cabinets and a wooden table which was never used. There were two doors, one for the bathroom, one for the bedroom, but both rooms were about the same size.
Nightmare never really did sleep in the bedroom. Even though she had once been some sort of evil Queen, she still hated how small and dark the bedroom was.
Flick, flick, Nightmare lit a match and threw it into the fireplace.
It got very cold at night, and it was Nightmare's only way of cooking her food. She could get life energy from anything, from a pony to a flower, but solid food was hard to come by.
The mare glanced into one of her old, creaky, dirty cabinets. She was clearly almost out of food, and knew it was about time she took a trip to Ponyvile.Nightmare Moon packed her saddlebags and headed out. The Sun was almost down, but usually ponies of Ponyville stayed up until at least seven o' clock.
Again, she flapped her wings and rose into the sky. The sensation of flying was now gone and replaced by pure dread. She was tired, hungry, and the last thing she wanted to do was go to Ponyville. While it was the closest town, Nightmare Moon dreaded seeing the Elements of Harmony all the time, they were always there!
But eventually the Pegasus came to Ponyville, which, for some reason, was very crowded.
And then she saw it.
Towering over her was a fairs wheel and a long line of ponies. "Out of the way!" Said a certain grown colt with two foals. "Yeah, back of the line!" A young foal exclaimed.
The Pegasus simply trotted away without responding. One day, she would get revenge on them. On all of them. They would all live in her eternal night, and all love her, and be great full to her.
But that day was not today, and today, Nightmare Moon was doing nothing than getting food for the body she possessed.
"Apples! Apple fritters! Apple pie! Apple sauce! Everything APPLES!" An orange earth pony mare announced. And Nightmare knew who she was. She was the Element of Honesty. Applejack.
"You there, would you like to buy some apples? We're having free sample, FREE SAMPLES, and you seem to be knew in Ponyville." The mare said, holding out a toothpick with a piece of apple pie on it.
"I'm not knew, I'm just passing through. But I'd love to try the samples." Applejack handed the Pegasus the sample. It looked good.
Nightmare stared at the piece of food for a bit. It smelled like apples and sugar, but she wasn't used to that smell. It had been so long since Nightmare Moon had had anything sweet or sugary, but the mare kind of missed it.
She took a bite of the pie, and immediately felt the different flavored touch her tongue. Apples, sugar, crust...pure goodness.
"Would you like to buy a pie? Ten for five bits." Applejack said, pointing to a giant sign posted on the side of the stand.
"Mah' little sister made this sign. Actually, she made all of the signs, her and her friends." Nightmare Moon raised an eyebrow. Surely this was something she could use against Applejack in the long run.
"You have...a sister?" Nightmare asked. Peering at her. "Yeah an' a brother. Big Mac and Applebloom. Do you?" Nightmare shook her head.
"No. I'm an only child. But, on a more serious note, I...don't have any bits. I'm trying to sell my things. To get bits." Applejack smiled.
"Don't worry. Hey, lemme see what ya' got." Nightmare handed the smiling earth pony a sack of rocks. They were all beautiful, and all very valuable. Clearly things found in the Everfree. "Well I'll be, I think Twilight would buy these. Maybe Rarity. Take a trip down the boutique. Can't be too hard to find, only one in Ponyville." The Pegasus nodded.
"But first...take a pie. Take five pies. For free." Applejack handed Nightmare five apple pies and the Pegasus slipped them into her saddlebags. "Thank you, Applejack." Applejack's eyes widened "How do you know my name?" She asked.
"Let's just say, we've met before." And with that, Nightmare Moon left, heading toward the boutique.
Ponies were everywhere, some with family, some with friends, and some with spouses or significant others.
There were games, rides, and lots and lots if food stands. The smell of popcorn drifted through the air, and trash littered the ground. Could it be anymore obvious?
It was obviously a fair.
And her suspicions were proven right, seeing as there was a big banner hanging on to trees that read "PONYVILLE FAIR".
"....BOO!" Nightmare Moon whipped around to see a pink earth pony and a cyan Pegasus behind her, snickering, laughing, rolling around on the ground...The Elements of Laughter and Loyalty.
"What was that for!" The Brown Pegasus exclaimed, rage boiling up inside her stomach. "How dare you-"
"Sorry, but we just couldn't resist! We couldn't help but notice you were knew to Ponyville, and well..."
"Your new! That means I just HAVE to throw you a party. What's your favorite color? What's-" Nightmare Moon's temper softened. All this mare wanted to do was throw her a party. But this was the same mare that defeated her three years ago...
"Thank you, but I'm not new to Ponyville. I'm simply passing through. At the moment, I'm looking for Rarity. Do you know where she is?" The cyan Pegasus and pink earth pony stared at each other, and then turned back to Nightmare.
"Yeah! She's our bestest, bestest, bestestestestest friend! But so is Fluttershy, and Twilight, and Applejack..." Rainbow put a hoof over Pinkie's mouth.
"She gets it. Anyway, yeah, we'll take you to the boutique, whatever." And the trio of three went on.
As always, Rainbow Dash was flying, and Pinkie Pie was hopping, while Nightmare Moon simply trotted along, with her wings folded to her sides.
"We're herrrrre!" Rainbow knocked on the door, and out came a curly-maned unicorn.
Of course, Nightmare thought. Another Element. She knew that this pony was an element. She had left quite an impression, with that curly mane and all, and even though Nightmare Moon hated to compliment her enemies, Rarity was beautiful.
"Why hello! Oh...you look like you could really do with some help...in the fashion department." The mare smiled, but the brown Pegasus knew that Rarity was disgusted at what she saw.
Come in! Lets see...your mane could...." Nightmare Moon jerked back "I didn't come here so that you could fix my mane, I came to sell you...these."
Nightmare Moon pulled out the bag of rocks from her saddlebags. They were beautiful, shiny, and all different colors. Rarity levitated her glasses to her eyes, and smiled in awe.
"Beautiful...I could certainly use this in a dress. Hmmm...crystal, ah! A price of gold. A small diamond, small indeed, but it must work." Rarity turned back to face Nightmare Moon who was sitting there scratching her head.
Meanwhile, Pinkie and Rainbow were playing Patty Cake on the opposite side of the boutique.
"Yes...I'll sell it to you for...twenty bits?" Nightmare Moon nodded. Rarity levitated a pile of bits into the air, and they landed on the ground in front of the green-maned Pegasus.
Nightmare Moon counted the bits and then slid ten towards the elegant unicorn. "You gave me ten extra." Rarity smiled.
"Dear, I meant to do that. Keep it." Nightmare smiled, and scooped the bits into her saddlebag.
"Oh, and darling I didn't catch your name."
"Cami."
"So...Cami, anywhere else you need to go?" Rainbow Dash asked. "We'd be happy to take you there. And prank a few ponies on the way." the rainbow-maned mare said, winking towards Pinkie. "Yeah! Wait...Rarity are gonna come too?"
Rarity shook her head while sewing what looked to be a wedding dress. "Oh no, darling. I have far too much work to do."
"Okie dokie!" And then, the three mares left the the boutique.
"So...where we headed to?" Rainbow asked. "Twilight Sparkle..." Nightmare said in a low voice. She hated Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle defeated her all those years ago, and besides, she was the student of the pony she hated so much...Celestia.
The trio trotted towards the library, which wasn't to far from the boutique it seemed. The whole way, Rainbow and Pinkie did nothing but laugh and play, and prank ponies, but Nightmare remained deep in thought.
These ponies...the ponies she hated, were showing such kindness to her...it was strange. But Nightmare knew they were only being nice to her because they didn't know who she really was. They didn't know she was Nightmare Moon.
But she could use this against them...she could get close to them and then attack. For years now, Nightmare Moon had plotted her revenge against the Elements, against Celestia...
The three ponies paused outside the door to the library. "You go on in, Cami. We're gonna go and prank some ponies. See ya'!" And then the two ponies raced off, Rainbow Dash flying, and Pinkie sprinting at a speed Applejack couldn't even reach.
Knock.
The door swung open and a small purple dragon stood at the door. "Twilight! There's a pony here!" Spike yelled. Twilight rushed to the door.
"Ummm...hi. Are you knew in Ponyville? I know most everypony in this town, but I've never seen you before." Part of Nightmare wanted to tear Twilight Sparkle apart, but another part wanted to have a civil conversation with her.
"I'm just visiting. No pony in particular...I live in the Everfree Forest. I need to come here every once and a while to get food and stuff." Twilight's eyes widened.
"You live in the forest! That's...how is it there? See any animals? Any strange stuff? I hear there are all sorts of things in there!" This was Twilight Sparkle.
"I've encountered a few dangerous animals, but I survive."
"So...what are you looking for?" Twilight asked. "I...wanted to sell you something. A few rocks to be exact." Nightmare pulled out another bag of rocks.
"Woah...these...wow! There great for studying! I've never seen any rocks like this!" Twilight said.
"Where was I...yes. I'd love to study these. How many bits?" Twilight asked.
Nightmare paused. "Twenty." Twilight levitated twenty bits toward Nightmare, counting them silently and mouthing the numbers.
"Twenty bits. By the way, what's your name?" Twilight asked. "Cami." Nightmare said.
"And I...kind of wanted to get a book." Twilight beamed at this "Really? I have tons of books! Romance novels, adventure novels, spell books, history books..."
"It's ok. I found it." Nightmare pulled out a large novel, obviously pretty long.
"I love those books" Twilight said. "Anyway, I guess you should get going. The sun is about to go down...see you next time!" Twilight waved at Nightmare, and she waved back.
Once she got outside, Nightmare Moon tucked the large book into her saddlebag and flew off. It just felt so...weird, having talked to the Elements as if they were her friends. But maybe...maybe Cami could become friends with the elements. Maybe Nightmare Moon could leave the Everfree and move to Ponyville.
Probably not.
But, a mare could dream. She thought about hanging out with Twilight, or having Rarity do her mane, or flying with Rainbow Dash, or bucking apples with Applejack, or even having Pinkie throw her a party. And she was sure Fluttershy was nice too.
Maybe...one day.
Nightmare Moon landed in front of her home, but realized something. She felt weak. The Pegasus walked over to the talk grass bordering the clearing, and began to take the life source from them. Her eyes grew to the teal slits, and then turned white. The white smoke then went into Nightmare's open mouth, and when little to none was left, the mare's eyes became normal and she sighed.
Living the way she did was a dreary existence. She lived in the forest, alone, in a small cottage, an had to feed off the life source of living things, something Nightmare took no pleasure in doing.
But that was how it was. That was the cruelty of life.
The Pegasus snapped back to reality. She realized the sun was gone, the sky was purple, and twilight was at its peak. It was dangerous to be in the forest at night, but Nightmare slept through the morning. She usually spent her nights inside reading or something.
The mare pushed the door open and came inside. Her stomach began to rumble and she paused. "BUCK! I forgot to get food!" She moaned. But then she remembered the apple pies in her saddlebag. She went into the "kitchen" and placed the five apple pies on the table. She unwrapped the plastic off of one of the pies, got a fork, sat down on the couch and began to eat.
When she had had her full, she wrapped the leftovers of the pie back in plastic, and pulled the book out of her saddlebag.
She leaned back on the couch, ready to enjoy the third installment of "Daring Doo".

Chapter 1: Luna's Night Out
Chapter 1: Luna's Night Out
"Night Court is dismissed!" Princess Luna announced. About twenty ponies left the throne room.
Luna got off the throne, yawning. It was about three o' clock in the morning, and the Lunar Princess was exhausted. Ever since the "Pony" magazine announced Princess Luna the best princess, Luna had been getting more and more visitors. Usually, Luna only got about ten visitors, but tonight, she had forty three.
Before, ponies had often preferred Celestia's court rather than Luna's. For starters, it was more convenient to go in the morning rather than at night, and besides, Celestia was the higher authority in Equestria. However, Princess Luna had a tendency to...bend the rules at times, while Celestia was more strict with the laws, seeing as she had written most of them.
But now, the few ponies left in the court were leaving, and a new group of guards went to watch the Night Court while the previous guards left. Luna stretched her wings, her legs, and even cracked her neck before lighting her horn and vanishing, only to appear once more on the balcony in her bedroom.
She looked up at her moon, a truly beautiful sight in a sky of black. It was a shame no pony saw her night, it was so beautiful, and Luna worked a lot on it. Luna's job was really a lot harder than Celestia's. All Celestia had to do was raise the Sun and then start her day, but Luna had to follow a specific Lunar cycle, raise the stars, and make sure they were all in the correct place. And it wasn't fair that Celestia's morning was so much more...important than her night.
"Stop it." Luna said aloud. She was thinking like she had one thousand years ago, and those thoughts were the exact things that had created Nightmare Moon. But it was true. No pony appreciated her night. No pony even looked at her night!
Luna sighed. What was she even doing? Sitting here, on her balcony, crying about her life troubles? Luna recalled her childhood. How her, Celestia, Discord, and even...Chrysalis and Sombra had always explored during the night. Then Discord became evil, Sombra became evil, Luna followed suit, and sometime during her banishment, Chrysalis disconnected from Equestria. And became evil, of course.
Luna missed the old days. But if no one would have fun with her, Luna would just have to have fun alone.
The Lunar princess spread her magnificent wings, and flew into the sky. Being royal and all, she hardly ever even used her wings, she always had carriages hauling her around Equestria, but that was when she actually went places of course."Princess! Princess Luna! Where are you going?" Screamed an Earth Pony who was guarding the front doors to the castle. "I don't know. But I'll be back." And Luna flew away.
She didn't quite know where she was going, but it would be far away from the castle, and she would make it back in time to lower the moon. She flew straight, not even paying attention to where she was going. All she knew was that she had to be back by the time the moon called her.
Yes. Luna didn't need an alarm to wake her up when it was time to raise the moon, the moon woke her. Luna and the moon had a certain...bond. When it was time to raise or lower the moon, Luna felt it.
"It's Princess Luna!" Said a young Earth Pony outside of a nightclub. No it's- Oh by Starswirl's beard, it is!" Said another pony. Luna paused in the sky. "LOOK EVERYPONY IT'S PRINCESS LUNA!"
Ponies ran out of the nightclub. An awful lot of them were drunk, but eh, it was a nightclub. Why not have a little fun, the Princess thought to herself. She landed gracefully on the ground in front of a group of eager ponies, a quarter of them drunk, a few still sober, and some only buzzed. One even fainted before her.
Luna simply trotted into the nightclub, ignoring the oohing and awing ponies. The music was booming, and a bunch of bright white lights were flashing...everywhere. "Princess Luna...welcome to-to Lunessa!" Luna blinked. "A...nightclub? Named after me?" The manager, as it seemed, nodded. "Wow...huh. Well then, where's the bar?" Luna asked. The manager smiled.
"Bubblegum! Show are very, very, special guest Princess Luna the bar!" A pink earth pony wearing nothing more than a very, very small yellow shirt led Princess Luna to the bar.
Ponies were following the Lunar Princess, many taking pictures. Luna didn't know many nightclubs in Canterlot, but clearly, this was a very famous one. "Your highness-" Luna rolled her eyes. "Luna. Address me as Luna, and nothing more." The bartender smiled. She was clearly also pretty young, a yellow-white mare with a brown mane and light blue eyes. "What would you like to drink?"
Luna thought a moment. It had been so long since she had even had anything to drink. She glanced at the glowing menu and smiled, "A Luna martini." She said mischievously. The mare rushed away and just seconds later the bartender handed Luna a very well-made martini. She glanced at it curiously. She hasn't been drunk in a thousand years, and she had only gotten drunk once.
"I...have my own martini?" Luna asked. "Of course! This club is even named after you!" A club? Named after Princess Luna? "Huh." Luna picked up the glass with her magic, and took a sip. The flavors touched her tongue and Luna instantly fell in love. She put the glass to her lips once more and took yet another sip, and then a very large gulp. It was...wonderful. She picked it up again, and this time, chugged it.
"WHO'S READY TO PARTY?!" Luna asked in the royal Canterlot voice, tossing the empty glass to the side. Until that moment the ponies in the bar had been silent, but now the music was back on, and ponies were heading to the bar, to the dance floor, to the bathroom...
"LUNAR PRINCESS IN THE HOUSE!" Screamed the DJ, a blue-maned unicorn in sunglasses. The music started blasting, and it was exactly the kind Luna liked.
A group of ponies gathered around the princess, asking questions and taking pictures. Was this what it felt like to be...liked?
"Ummm...bits, Luna?" Asked the bartender. "Oh, I-" Luna realized she had absolutely no bits.
"It's on me." Said a smiling gray coated unicorn. A royal guard. The royal guard levitated his wallet toward him, and pulled out a few bits. "No, I'll pay!"
"I'll pay!"
"I'm the richest pony here!" A fight seemed to have broken out, and strangely enough, it was about who would pay Princess Luna's bill.
"It's been paid!" Said an annoyed Pegasus mare. "Thank you." Luna said. "Are you a royal guard?" Luna asked the gray coated colt who had paid for her drink. "Don't I look like one?" He asked with a grin.
"My turn...what brings you here?" He asked. Luna thought. She actually didn't even know why she was here. "Sheer boredom." The princess said. "What brings you out so late?" She knew what game they were playing.
"I'm a night guard with a night off. Finest night guard in the castle, but Armor gave me the night off. My turn. Would you like another drink?"
"Sure." While other ponies were gathered around the bar, all demanding drinks, the bartender made Luna's first. While Luna was finishing her champagne, she was being bombarded with questions, and tried her best to answer all of them.
When Luna finished her drink, she was feeling just a little drunk. Just a little. The colt who had bought her drink was still sitting next to her, gazing intently at her. "Anyway, it's my turn. What's your name?" The colt smiled "Iron Sword, at your service. Wanna dance?" Luna was beginning to like this colt.
"Gladly." The two trotted to the dance floor, where half the ponies at the bar followed them. "PRINCESS LUNA IS ON THE DANCE FLOOR!" Screamed the DJ. She turned on a song, and Luna danced to her heart's content, grinding on Iron, and even singing along to a few of the songs that she knew. A few ponies were on stage, obviously professional dancers, and stripper ponies were just about everywhere.
All over the club ponies were making out, dancing, and many sneaking away into some of the more private rooms to, well, you know...
Ponies all around Luna were trying to dance with her, colts mostly, and mares were trying to look cool. Colts were trying to flirt with her, and one had even been dragged out by a jumper. Over by the bar, two mares were fighting over a colt, who was just sorta standing there, not knowing what to do.
Luna stopped dancing to approach the couple, who were screaming at each other and throwing drinks. The Pegasus mare had the upper hand, but the Earth Pony mare was pretty good. "Enough!" Said Luna in a royal Canterlot voice. The club shut up. "What's going on?" Asked the Princess staring at the two ponies.
"She was making out with my boyfriend!" Said the earth pony, pointing an accusing hoof at the Pegasus who was still in the air crossing her arms. Luna giggled. She was still, of course a little drunk. Luna turned to colt, he looked a little scared. "How many other ponies have you cheated with?" Luna asked, glaring at the colt.
"How do you know-" both mares went up to the colt and gave him a smack, one at a time. "You said we had something!" The Pegasus said. But the mare was just glaring at him.
"Don't bother coming home." She said. Then, she turned to Princess Luna, who found the whole situation hilarious. "Thank you, princess, for showing me what an ASSHOLE he is. My name is Alana." Now looking a bit more closely, Alana was clearly a very beautiful mare. She had a medium pink coat with a blonde mane, and her cutie mark was a bouquet of flowers. "You know...if you ever need a wedding planner, that's my special talent." Luna giggled.
The Pegasus went up to Luna too, obviously nervous. "Yeah, I'm Bronzy. Thanks for, like, helping me." She turned around and Luna saw her cutie mark, an eyeshadow palette. She had a bronze coat with a deep red mane.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't know he was in a relationship. I'll buy you a drink." Then, the two mares left.
The crowd of ponies left, but a few stayed, just to be with Luna. "I forgot you were there! Can I...have another drink?" The Princess asked, scratching her head. Iron laughed, and led the princess back to the bar, tossed some bits onto the table, and within seconds, Luna was brought her drink.
"Thanks." Suddenly, Luna felt the moon's tug. It was time to raise the moon. "Crap!" She said aloud. "What?" The guard asked, glancing around the bar. He really was a good guard.
"I need to raise the moon! I need to leave! Now!" The guard scratched his head. "Ok...I'll transport you there." Luna laughed aloud. Iron was such a gentleman. "I can do it by myself. I won't ruin your night."
"Nonsense." With a flash of dark blue light, Luna and Iron appeared in front of the castle. "Ummm...thanks..." Luna said. "But I smell like alcohol!" It was true. Luna smelled like a young pony who had just come home from prom, not that Luna had ever even been to prom. "I know a spell for that!" The colt flashed his horn, and the stench was gone. "Thanks...wanna meet, like, tomorrow?" Luna asked. "Sure. Where?"
The Princess grinned. "My bedroom."
Before Iron could respond, Luna flapped her wings and landed on the balcony where she was supposed to raise the moon. She looked down and waved to Iron, who seemed to have been watching her. He waved back, and then trotted to the Guard House, where the guards slept and stuff.
Within minutes, Celestia appeared, yawning, her crown lopsided on her head. "Tia...your crown..." She used her magic to fix the crown and Celestia smiled. "How was the Night Court?" Celestia asked. The dark blue alicorn rolled her eyes "Forty three ponies. I usually only get ten!" Tia giggled "I wish I had that many."
Luna sighed. It had been a while since she had actually had a real conversation with her sister.

Again, sorry for any mistakes, it was written on my phone, like all the chapters will be. Helpful criticism appreciated and "Ponies" magazine is a pony version of "People" magazine, if you were wondering.
Chapter 2: Dislestia
Chapter 2: Dislestia
"Hahahahaha! Look Tia, it's Twilight!" Discord said, holding a picture of something that looked...somewhat like Twilight. It was a fat purple circle with navy blue and pink lines for hair, along with giants, purple wings. Celestia couldn't help but stifle a laugh. Ever since there childhood, Discord had always been able to make her laugh. "Ha! Got ya! I made YOU laugh!" Celestia just rolled her eyes. Discord took a great pleasure in making Celestia laugh, because "She was too serious".
"May I have another cup of coffee?" Asked the Princess, levitating her coffee cup toward one of the chefs in the kitchen. "Of course, your highness" and the colt scrambled away. "Look it's Fluttershy!" Now, Discord had fallen over laughing. He dropped the notebook in front Celestia, who chuckled when she saw the picture of Fluttershy. The drawing looked a lot like Twilight's had, but in Fluttershy's colors, of course. But she had a very, very angry look on her face.
"Here, your highness." Said the chef, returning with her coffee. "Would you like more pancakes?" Asked the chef. Celestia thought a moment. "Sure." She said, handing the chef her plate. "Isn't it hilarious?!" He asked, clearly getting over his laughter. He got off the floor and took back his notebook, where he was scribbling away.
Just as quick as he had gone, the chef returned with a plate of freshly made pancakes, syrup on the side, and buttered to perfection. "I'm sorry it took so long, Princess."
Celestia simply laughed "That was the speediest thing I've ever seen!" She said, levitating her fork to her mouth. "Thank you, Princess."
"It's just not fair!" Said Discord, slamming his notebook and crayons on the table "Why don't they address me with 'Your highness' and stuff?!" Celestia smiled. Typical Discord, always thinking the world revolved around him.
"I was a Prince, remember Tia?" Said Discord. He was referring to the old days, of course.
"And then you turned evil and tried to change all reality." Celestia pointed out, shivering at the thoughts. The second time around, Discord caused a lot less chaos then the first time.
"Well so did Luna, and she tried to kill you! I just wanted to marry you. Actually, I kind of still do." Discord leaned close to Celestia, who didn't pull away, but instead glared at him. The look. "Tia, stop! I'm trying to be...romantic." And Discord wrapped his arms around Celestia's shoulder.
"We went over this the day you became reformed. I will not marry you Discord!" The chefs seemed to be gossiping, all hearing what Celestia and Discord were saying, but trying to hide it.
"But...I've CHANGED. I still cause chaos, just a lot less-"
"That doesn't change anything." The Princess said, taking her last bite of pancake. Discord stomped his feet, shaking the whole table, and causing many chefs to jump in panic. "If you'll excuse me...I have work to do. But you will marry me, Celestia. Eventually." The draconequus snapped his fingers, and then he was gone.
The white alicorn sighed. Ever since having been reformed, Discord had been trying to marry her. Even before that, actually, when he tried to take over Equestria, he had proposed to Celestia.
"Princess, are you done?" Asked one of the chefs, motioning toward her empty plate. "Ummm...yes." The chef levitated the plate away. Celestia sighed. Now she had to go to Morning Court.
Princess Celestia actually really enjoyed morning court. It was nice, meeting and talking to ponies that lived in her kingdom. But Luna thought totally different, and wanted to get rid of Night Court forever. Celestia sighed. "Guard..."
"Yes Princess?"
"Tell everypony Morning Court is cancelled, and if anypony really needs something, they can come back at seven for Night Court, or see me tomorrow." The guard nodded, and ran off, looking for the other guards.
The alicorn rose from her seat, and teleported into the library. She planned to relax and read a few books..."PRINCESS! Princess, Princess Celestia...there's something you should see..." The mare in front of her door was one of Celestia's assistants, and she was levitating a magazine.
The Solar Princess rose from her comfortable bean bag on the floor, and took hold of the magazine. The magazine was "Ponies Weekly" and on the cover was a picture of Princess Luna dancing and drinking.
"Is that..."
"I'm afraid so, Princess..." Anger and rage boiled up inside of Celestia. How could Luna do this? A royal pony, doing something like THIS? Drinking and partying at a nightclub?
Celestia skipped to page twenty-eight were Luna was featured. The magazine said; "Princess Luna sure does know how to party! Last night, Princess Luna showed off her wild side at the "Lunessa" nightclub in Canterlot. Sources say a certain colt, who just so happens to be a royal guard, bought the Princess multiple drinks. "Yeah, me and Bronzy here were fighting and Luna broke it up. Now we're like, friends." Says Alana, age 23."
There was a lot more to the article, but Celestia was just to angry to read it! She levitated the magazine with her and teleported to Luna's bedroom.
The Moon Princess was sleeping peacefully at the moment, but that wouldn't last. "Luna...Luna...Looona...LUNA!" Princess Celestia exclaimed in te royal Canterlot voice. It had been a very long time since she had actually even used that tone of voice...
The dark alicorn awoke with a start, and stared at her sister with a look of terror on her face. "You know...about last night don't you?" She said. "Luna...why would you do something so STUPID? We've worked so hard on your reputation, and your just ruining everything! Do you've any idea how ponies are going to look at you now? Hmmm?" The younger sister rolled her eyes "I can't take this Tia! Always being cooped up in this stupid castle!
"It pretty and all, but I can't just stay here forever! Don't you remember when we were young, and we used to all go out at night and just have fun?"
"We don't get to do that anymore, Luna-"
"Just because we're royal, doesn't mean we can't have fun. I didn't plan to go clubbing, I promise. All I did was take a fly around Canterlot and then they all saw me, asked me if I wanted to get a drink..."
"If you wanted a drink you could have asked me!" Celestia said. "I have lots of liquor in my bedroom! Ad Luna...are you even old enough to drink?" Celestia asked.
"I'm about one thousand years old, Tia. Yes, I am qualified to drink. And I wasn't drunk, just buzzed. Now can you leave? I have a hangover." Celestia gave a last glare at Luna and then smiled. "Your grounded."
Luna snorted in laughter. "I am over one thousand years old. You can't ground me. Besides, your just my sister." Luna shook her head.
"Fine but...no more sneaking out! And what was the name of that guard you met at the bar?" Luna went into a laughing fit "I don't know Tia! I hardly remember anything from that night." But that was a lie. Luna remembered every detail.
"Fine...sleep sister."
"Can you get me some meds for the hangover?"
"No, that's your punishment." Luna grinned. Tia truly could be stubborn at times.
The princess left her sister's room, feeling somewhat satisfied. She was still a little angry, and had no idea how ponies would react to Luna's little night out. And she still didn't know what guard had been with Luna. Surely it was a guard off-duty, but many guards had been off that night. And the princess still just got the feeling she knew a lot more than she was saying, but Luna was really good at lying.
"Your highness, somepony is here to see you, and they just couldn't wait..."
"Princess!" Celestia didn't recognize the pony in front of her, but the mare was obviously in a lot of shock. "I must speak with you in private!"
"Thank you for taking her here Speedy, now go back to your post." The guard nodded and then flew away.
The alicorn led the unicorn mare to the library, and as soon as she shy the door, the mare began to speak, "My name is Blue Star, an I have reason to believe there is trouble in the Everfree!" She exclaimed. "I live very close to the Everfree. Every once and a while, I go to study there, just to take a walk. I am studying magic, and very fascinated in the forest." Now she looked nervous, on the verge if tears really, "I believe there is a biasma in there." The mare choked out.
"Impossible. The biasma are extinct." Celestia recalled the biasma...vicious creatures. None of them had their own individual minds, they all followed orders from there leader, Greyghost. They couldn't love, hate, or feel any emotion. They were something between life and death, and, since they didn't have their own body, they had to feed off the life energy of living things.
"Then explain this to me!" The mare dug through her saddlebags and pulled out...a squirrel. But the squirrel was completely lifeless. It was stiff, cold, and...completely gray. Not a splash of color on it. "Where-where did you get this?" The princess asked, examining the creature. "In the Everfree."
"Thank you, Blue Star. You may leave now. And I advise you to stay away from the forest."
"I wouldn't even consider returning." Celestia turned to the guards "Escort her out. And alert the other guards that we will have a meeting at sunset." One guard escorted Blue Star to the exit, and another went to find Shining Armor.
This can't be happening! Celestia thought. How was this even possible, the biasma had been extinct for over one thousand years. It seemed strange that they could just somehow...return. The only way they could return was if they were somehow summoned, but the only pony able to do that spell had to be very powerful, probably an alicorn, or a very strong unicorn. Could Luna have done it? No. Certainly not Cadence.
The Princess recalled the first time around, when the biasma came and sucked the life out of all her subjects. A war then started and together, Celestia and Luna banished them. But she wasn't even sure were they went.
"What's wrong Tia, you look stressed?" Celestia whipped around, only to see Discord standing right behind her.
"Discord! Don't scare me like that!" Discord chuckled. "Come on, Tia, we all know that's my thing. But...why so upset?" The princess began to debate on whether or not to tell him. How would he react?
"Equestria is in trouble." Celestia said, now pacing back and forth. "Nothing the Elements can't handle, I'm sure. Or maybe even you and Luna. Haha! Speaking of which I heard about Luna's Night Out..."
"Discord! This is serious! If you must know, the biasma have returned!" The alicorn exclaimed, stomping her hoof. Discord's face went stone cold. "How do you know that?" The draconequus said. "A mare told me. She lives by the Everfree."
Discord cracked a smile. "Do you even know who this mare is? How do you know she's not lying just to get attention?" Celestia had officially reached her boiling point. First Luna's little party, then the return of the biasma, and now Discord was making jokes!
"EXPLAIN this then Discord, explain it!" Using her magic, the Princess threw the dead squirrel at Discord, who caught it. "Oh my..." Celestia had officially had enough. She broke down in tears, and Discord just sorta scratched his head. He didn't know what to do!
"Oh...ummm...Tia. It's ok. Shhhh." He said, all the while patting her on the back. "It's ummm...gonna be ok. We can defeat the biasma, we did it once, we can surely do it again." But Celestia wasn't saying anything. She continued to cry, and Discord knew what he had to do. He hugged her. "I know what will cheer you up!" Discord exclaimed.
"Cotton candy and chocolate milk, won't help, Discord." Discord gave a mischievous grin. I had something else in mind..." He snapped his fingers and Celestia appeared in his arms, he was cradling her. "Discord-"
"Let me do the talking. He snapped his fingers once more and they came to a new room...Celestia's room. "DISCORD! No! I can't-"
"Celestia, you are over one thousand years old. When was the last time you had fun?" It was true. How many years had it been since she had done...it?
"I knew you'd agree."
Author's Note
Well who did you think would be Celestia's baby daddy? Anyway, wrote this on my phone, to lazy to proofread, enjoy, etc.
This actually took a lot less time than I thought it would. Chapter 3 coming whenever I say so.
Chapter 3: In the Everfree
Chapter 3: In the Everfree
Celestia sat tall on her red velvet throne, regal as usual. Meanwhile, Luna sat lazily on her own throne, staring at the ticking clock on the wall. And finally, Princess Cadence stood in the middle of her two aunt's who both sat on there thrones. Since Cadence wasn't an Equestrian Princess, she didn't have a throne. "When will they get here!" Luna whined.
Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were all to go into the Everfree in search of the biasma. Meanwhile, Princess Sparkle and her friends were supposed to be in charge, assuming, that is, that they ever even showed up.
"Momentarily, sister. Your so impatient." Luna rolled her eyes.
"Not all of us can be as patient as you, Tia. And do you really think its wise to leave Equestria in the hooves of Twilight Sparkle and her friends? I mean, she's a bright mare and all, but-" Luna had never been a big fan of Twilight. While she didn't hate her, she just didn't see what was so great about her.
"Luna, her, and her friends, have saved Equestria multiple times from disaster. Had it not been for her, you might not even be here. I might not even be here, assuming Discord took over Equestria, Cadence might not be here, and the Crystal Empire wouldn't be here. I'm sure she can manage Equestria for an hour." Celestia hated it when ponies questioned her student. While Twilight was young, she was wise for her age, and more than capable about figuring things out. For every test Twilight had had to endure, she had passed.
"I think Twilight is more than capable of watching Equestria." Cadence said. "She's responsible, and a good problem solver too. If something, anything that demanded attention were to fall upon Equestria, Twilight would quickly think of a way to fix it. She's kind of like Tia, except more...nervous." Cadence pointed out. For ages now, the three princesses had been silent, and Cadence was more than happy to have a conversation with her aunts.
"Cadence, Tia, your just saying that because you know her. Celestia, she was and is, your faithful student. Cadence, she's your sister-in-law, and you used to foalsit her. Me, no connection. I see her as nothing more than a common mare, another that will come to pass."
Celestia looked shocked. "Is that really how you think of Twilight? A common mare? Yes, eventually, Twilight will come to pass, but she is a princess. Luna, she is equal to you, to me, and to Cadence. She has gone through a lot, Luna. I think everypony, even me and you could learn a good lesson from her."
"Incorrect, sister. Me and you have the highest authority in Equestria, we are equal. Cadence isn't a princess of Equestria, she's a princess of Crystalia, but, since she is our neice, she has some authority. Twilight isn't apart of the bloodline, she's a pony with a VIP pass, and that just gives her an equal amount of authority as Cadence. Besides, Tia, we're goddesses. Immortal, and the only ponies with the ability to raise and lower the Sun and Moon. By all means, we outrank Twilight, and so does Cadence, in a way."
"How do I hold a higher rank than Twilight?" Cadence asked. "For starters, your a natural alicorn. Plus your my niece. Plus your the ultimate ruler of Crystalia, while Twilight is only a princess with small authority. And finally, your a goddess, Cadence. Goddess of love." Cadence began to process this. She had never even imagined being a goddess of anything, let alone a grand-supreme-ruled of Crystalia. She had always just thought of herself as a pony with the ability to make ponies fall in love, and the only pony with an attachment to the Crystal Heart.
"But me, of course, I outrank all of you." A familiar voice said. Sitting on a cloud of cotton candy was none other than Discord itself, enjoying a cup of refreshing chocolate milk.
"Discord, your not even a ruler of anything." Celestia pointed out. "True-" the Alicorn said before he could speak "Your a God. A God of chaos. But you don't rule a kingdom at all." The mare pointed out. "I could have..." The draconequus said with a wink. "In fact, I can, if you'll let me, Celestia." Celestia have him the don't-you-dare-speak-of-that-again look.
"Fine, Tia. If you won't marry me...maybe Woona will."
"Woona-"
"No."
"Wooona-"
"No."
"Wooooooo-"
"NO" she exclaimed in the royal Canterlot voice. The floors shook, and Discord had to hold on steadily to his cloud.
"I think the answer is clear." The princess concluded.
The sudden sound of hooves could be heard from outside, and momentarily, Twilight came trotting in alongside her friends. Rarity was trotting like some sort of model, Rainbow flying, Fluttershy slightly flying above the ground, Pinkie bouncing, and Applejack just trotting in casually. "Princess, what is the emergency?" Twilight asked.
"An old enemy has returned, Twilight. Me, Luna and Cadence are to go and investigate the disturbance. Me and Luna are truly sorry for calling you in on such short notice, but-"
"Sorry? Oh, Princess, don't apologize. Me and my friends would be overjoyed to watch the kingdom!" Rarity exclaimed. She had clearly outdid herself. "Yeah...Really, Princess."
"Twilight, please, address me as Celestia in person." Twilight nodded, blushing. "And the same goes for the rest of you. Address me as Celestia. We will eventually all be on a first name basis." The six nodded. "Any who...we should be on our way now." The Lunar Princess said, gracefully leaping off her throne.
Celestia flew off of her throne, and landed lightly on her hooves with much grace. Cadence followed suit, and trotted towards the doors. The Crystal Princess had been unusually silent, because the truth was, she was scared. Cadence was young. She knew almost nothing about Equestria, and strangely enough knew even less about her own Empire. She had never even heard if the biasma, let alone seen or met one. She hardly knew what she was up against! While her aunts had given her a brief description of the unknown enemy, she still knew little to nothing.
Before trotting out the doors, she hugged Twilight. How did Cadence even know she would return? However, the pink Alicorn didn't mention her growing fear of the biasma, but simply said that the two sister-in-laws needed to see each other more often. She also greeted Twilight's friends, it would be rude to forget about them.
While Celestia waited patiently for Cadence to follow her, Luna went right on ahead, heading toward the gardens were the royal carriage awaited. "But-but what about ME!?" Discord exclaimed. "I wanna go too! Tia Pleeease?" Celestia thought for a moment, and before she could speak he quickly said "If you don't take me...I'll spread chaos! From here to Ponyville! I might even take a trip to Crystalia!" Celestia thought again. "Fine."
Discord snapped his fingers and he was gone.
The three Alicorn princesses and one draconequus took a brief flight over Equestria, before landing on the ground in front of the Everfree. There was caution tape surrounding the area were the carriage stood, and all around ponies stood, cheering and holding signs that read encouraging things about the princesses. Mostly Celestia and Luna.
However, when Discord stepped out, the growing crowed fell silent. Discord clearly wasn't a very beloved member of Equestria.
Discord didn't seem to mind though. "Attention, citizens. We advise you to stay as far away from the Everfree as possible. Whatever you do, do not, and I repeat, DO NOT go into the Everfree, for whatever reason." Luna boomed in her royal Canterlot Voice. Usually, Celestia usually did most of the speaking, but Celestia was to gentle to ever use the Royal Canterlot Voice.
Celestia, Luna, and Cadence trotted into the woods, Discord following them. Celestia had lowered the Sun about half way down, so the biasma would surely come out in search of their next meal.
Immediately upon their entrance, the four felt a cold rush of air. The climate and temperature in the forest was a lot colder than that of Equestria. Little to no sunlight touched the ground, do to the towering trees and Everfree Mountains, which blocked the Sunlight.
There was a sudden rustling in
the bushes and Cadence whipped around, only to see a squirrel jump from the bush an scruffy up a tree. "Cadence, if this is too much for you, you can go home." Celestia said, placing a hoof on her niece's shoulder. "There's nothing wrong with admitting your afraid." Yes. Cadence was scared. No, terrified. She didn't know what she was up against, or what was out there.
"You always said to face your fears, and that's what I'll do." Cadence said. "I think...we should split up!" Discord said. Celestia and I, and Luna and Cadence." Discord said with a wink toward Celestia, who sort of blushed looked around eagerly, as if trying to find a way to get out of the situation. "Discord, that's not a good idea." Luna pointed out.
"If we lose each other, we're screwed. If we happen to find a biasma, we're screwed. We may not be prepared." Luna said.
"If we split up, we can cover more ground." Cadence pointed out. Not only was this true, but Cadence really wanted to talk to Luna. "But-" Celestia said. "Tia...two to two. Ok, fine, we'll do rock, paper scissors."
"Fine..." Celestia trotted towards Discord, and lit her horn. An image of a rock, paper, and pair of scissors began floating in the air. "Rock...paper...SCISSORS." A transparent image of a pair of shiny scissors was in front of Discord, and a an image of a piece of scissors.
"Fine." The white alicorn said in defeat. "Luna, Cadence...watch out for yourselves. We and Discord go left, you ponies go right, and if in need of assistance, spark your horn." Cadence and Luna watched Celestia and Discord trot away, and Luna sighed.
"We might as well be on our way." Luna said. The two princesses trotted through the wood, Luna occasionally stopping you raise the moon a little higher, or raise the stars.
"Auntie...do you...remember my mother?" Cadence choked out. Luna paused, and for a moment, all was silent. "Yes. She was...the kindest pony I remember. Always laid back, not exactly shy, but laid back. She loved spreading love, wherever she went. She was always falling in love. She had so many boyfriends, almost as many as Chrysalis." Luna smiled fondly.
"She loved you, Cadence." The Lunar Princess concluded.
"If she loved me, why'd she leave?" The pink alicorn responded coldly. "Because. Because she couldn't take it anymore. Your mother was beautiful, she had many boyfriends, five husbands. When her last husband, your father, died, she fell into depression. She got in a relationship with Sombra. But Valentina was still depressed. So she committed suicide. Disconnected herself from the Crystal Heart. Sombra felt like nopony loved him, so he went all evil. He trapped you below the Crystal Castle." Luna concluded. Cadence couldn't help but note that the Equestrian Princess was holding something back. No, she knew Luna was holding something back. Other than that small detail, Cadence felt as though everything else was the truth. But Luna was a good liar.
Luna suddenly lit her horn a bright silver and hit something in the distance. A fateful squawk was heard, and a fully grown cockatrice fell to the ground. "There are probably more..." Luna said through bared teeth.
"Luna, don't hurt anymore of them. We're immune to them, so we don't need to harm them. Please." Cadence knew Luna would say no, but it was worth a shot. "If I don't kill them, they'll kill somepony. It's better they die rather than a pony." Luna growled, shooting another cockatrice from a tree. "Luna..." Squawk. Another fell to the ground.
"Auntie, look!" Cadence said, a string of dark blue mist was drifting through the trees. "Cadence, there's nothing there." Luna pointed out. "Yes! A...a blue mist! Luna! Why won't you believe me..."
"We should head home, Cadence I'm sure Twilight is worried sick, my hooves hurt, and I'm sure your tired. No, I know your tired." The Princess sent a spark of silver light into the air.
"Now what?" Cadence asked. "We wait."
Cadence smiled. "Meanwhile...how was your night out, Auntie?"

Wow. 100 views.
Anyway, this chapter took a lot longer. I kept writing it, getting bored, and then rewriting it. Next chapter coming soon
Chapter 4: Mare in the Mirror
Chapter 4: Mare in the Mirror
Dull dark blue mane, lime-green eyes, black coat, jagged horn, holes in it's mane, and holes in it's legs.
This was what Queen Chrysalis saw when she looked in the mirror. A monster. But the Changeling Queen, and her changelings, hadn't
always looked like this. Like monsters.
The changelings used to be beautiful. With shiny white coats, butterfly wings, and no holes plaguing their bodies.
It had been like that, until King Sombra had placed a curse on Chrysalis and her nation. Until somepony loved Chrysalis for who she was and what she looked like she would remain a monster.
With a green flash, Chrysalis became who she had once been. A beautiful white alicorn mare, with butterfly wings and a royal blue mane. Even her crown became a beautiful bronze, with little green emeralds. Changelings had always been able to change, even when they had been beautiful. The fangs too, had always been part of the changelings. As did the thing around their waist.
But wait, Queen Chrysalis could be anything. She went from her old self to Princess Cadence, then Princess Luna, and finally Princess Celestia. Yes, Queen Chrysalis could be anything, but she only wanted to be herself. Her old self.
And part of the Queen blamed herself for what she was now. The monster she was. Had it not been for her invasion on Equestria, maybe the curse would be broken.
That was the entire reason Chrysalis had done what she did, just to break the curse. The love between Cadence and Shining Armor was so strong. But when Shining's love didn't help, Chrysalis thought maybe if she was the Queen of Equestria, somepony was bound to love her.
Until she was defeated.
Now nopony would love her.
The thing was, the pony, whoever it may be, was supposed to love Queen Chrysalis despite her appearance. But these days, appearance was everything, and nopony loved something as ugly as herself. Who would? Not even Chrysalis loved herself. Countless times had the Queen thought of ending it. Of ending her reign and her life alike. When a Changeling Queen stepped down from the throne, they ultimately died. The nation was what kept her alive, and she kept them alive. If she decided to step down from the throne and didn't have an heir her changelings would die. It was just the way things were.
Sure. Queen Chrysalis wanted to die, but she didn't want her entire kingdom to die as well. That wasn't fair.
"Your highness! Dinner is ready!" The Queen jumped having not expected anypony to be at her door. "In a second..."
Chrysalis used telekinesis to shove a bunch of old dusty photos into an old dusty drawer. She paused though, at one photo. It was a photo of her, Celestia, Luna, Valentina, Discord, and Sombra at Chrysalis's fifteenth birthday. Oh, how she missed the old days. After a good few seconds, the mare slipped the picture back into the drawer, smiling at the memory.
It was at that moment when Chrysalis saw it; her mother's last day. Chrysalis's eighteenth birthday. On the Queen's eighteenth birthday, her mother had stepped down from her throne, leaving the burden of a nation to Queen Chrysalis. And on her birthday, no less.
The thought pained Chrysalis. She remembered her mother's departure, her mother placing the Changeling crown on her head. A bronze crown with beautiful emeralds. To this day, Queen Chrysalis couldn't bear to wear it.
"After the curse is broken, I'll have a foal." The Queen thought aloud. "Yes...but I'll never leave her. I will never ever leave her."
"Your majesty!" And then Queen Chrysalis remembered; Dinner with Goldenia, her assistant.
Queen Chrysalis swung her door open, a Changeling maid outside her door. "Your highness..." But Queen Chrysalis was too depressed to acknowledge her subject. She trotted right past the shaking changeling.
The Queen passed countless doors until she came to the dining hall, a long oval room with a long rectangular table. "Queen Chrysalis! Goldenia exclaimed. "Good to see you." The Queen nodded in acknowledgement. Goldy had always been cheerful, to cheerful for her taste.
"I apologize for being late, Goldenia. Overslept."
"Not a problem, Queen Chrysalis. Now, if you will. Are you going to be making that trip to Zebrica? If you would like I could just cancel it." Chrysalis thought about that for a moment. While Chrysalis and her nation were now hated by most of the world, Zebrica was a nation focused on peace and absolutely hated wars.
"That's not necessary, Goldenia. But could you please reschedule it for Sunday?" Goldenia nodded, and smiled, her bright yellow eyes flashing in the light. Only guards had those weird blue eyes, that didn't have irises. However, that wasn't their natural form, just a form that they changed too while on-duty. All civilian changelings had bright irises, and usually had dull manes, holes in their legs, crooked or jagged horns, transparent wings, and fangs. But they hadn't always looked like that.
"K." Goldenia said, jotting down a note in a little notebook. "How about that visit to Metamorphosis Elementary?" Chrysalis nodded. "And what about Emerald Creek High? Would you like that to be rescheduled?"
The Queen shook her head. "I want to make a trip to all the public schools in Chanmaria. It may take a few months, but it will get done." Goldenia nodded, scribbling that down in her notebook. "And..." Goldenia trailed off.
"What?" The queen asked. Still, the golden-eyes changeling didn't say a word, she just stared blankly at her notepad. "Goldenia..."
"Princess Celestia. She wants to arrange a meeting with you in Las Pegasus." Goldenia said, not daring to look into her queen's eyes. It took almost all of Queen Chrysalis's strength not to scream and shout, but she kept her temper, and decided to lose it later in her bedroom.
"Give me some time to think about that. Two days tops. Anything else?" Chrysalis asked calmly. Goldenia, along with a few listening guards, looked shocked. They had expected her to scream out in rage and hatred, perhaps even fire Goldenia for even saying the Equestrian Princess's name.
"Ummm...that's all, your highness."
"Dinner is served..." A chef said, levitating Queen Chrysalis and Goldenia's dinner to the table. In front of Goldenia was a healthy salad, and in front of Chrysalis was a not-so-healthy hayburger with fries and ketchup on the side. While changelings did feed mainly off of love, they needed real food as well. However, a changeling could last three weeks without eating if they were fed lots of love.
"No offense, my Queen, but how can you eat that? Your the Queen of Chanmaria, I'd expect you to be eating something really fancy-" While Chrysalis was Queen of Chanmaria, that didn't mean she couldn't indulge in some fast food. "If its baked by a professional chef, I think it's fancy enough. And how can you, my little assistant, eat a salad? It's so...vegetabley." Goldenia rolled those golden eyes "I'm on a diet." Chrysalis snickered.
For the rest of dinner time Chrysalis and Goldenia just talked about whatever came to mind. Gossip, food, politics, fashion, etc. After the main course was done for, Chrysalis some how persuaded Goldenia to have a piece of cheese cake, which actually turned into three pieces of cheese cake, and finally, a few glasses of wine. Chrysalis couldn't keep track, and Goldenia eventually lost track.
When dinner was over, Goldenia was escorted to her house by two royal guards, just to ensure she returned safely being drunk and all. While her assistant was pretty much smashed, Chrysalis was just a little buzzed. Being as old as she was, she had a high tolerance to alcohol. A heavy weight, if you will.
"My Queen, your sure you don't want somepony to take you to your bedroom? It's dangerous to transport while your drunk-" the chef was cut off by the Queen "Nonsense! Me? Drunk? I don't get drunk. I'm buzzed. Buzzzzzzzzed." Ok. Maybe Chrysalis was a but drunk, but not by much. And it wasn't as though her guards and so forth had never witnessed her in her being drunk. Chrysalis got drunk, or at least buzzed, often. The Queen was a queen, true, but she had to drown her sadness in something. It wasn't as though she was titanium, impossible to break. Chrysalis was most likely the easiest pony to break, other than Fluttershy the tree, of course.
Flash.
Chrysalis appeared outside her bedroom door. "Just a few inches away. I was reeeeeally close!" The two guards in front of her door were just sorta scratching their heads. Maybe they had never seen their queen drunk.
On accident, Chrysalis slammed the door opened, and it ended up hitting the wall with a large bang. The changeling jumped back, and her guards peered through her bedroom door, but Chrysalis closed it slowly with her hoof. Once the door was closed and locked, the mighty Queen of Changelings started...dancing. But not like a normal dance, but more like a drunk dance. Chrysalis started off by doing...a thing. She jerked her back legs in the air, doing a sorta-hind leg stand, before standing on her back legs, hooves flailing.
After attempting to do this "dance move" the mare attempted a front flip...which ultimately failed. Chrysalis fell on the ground, bawling like a foal.
Guards heard her cries, but she commanded them to go away, like an angry teen commands her angry parents to go away. When the pain in her back and horn subsided, she crawled onto her bed, drying tears from her light green eyes. Soon, Queen Chrysalis found that she was bored to death. She was drunk, no buzzed, and she was sitting in bed drying her tears with feather tissues. She always kept these by her bed, Chrysalis tended to cry a lot.
Flash.
Chrysalis appeared in front of the mirror, blinking.
What the buck was this? She hadn't looked like this a thousand years ago. She had been beautiful, the most beautiful creature in the world. The changelings had been the most beautiful race, as well, and Queen Chrysalis just had to find somepony that would love her for her, not the pony she would change into, or what she used to be.
Author's Note
Ok. I'm 99.9% sure that their are errors in this. Sowwy about that. Thing is, I write these at night before I go to bed, and I'm to lazy to proofread. Next chapter probably won't be done for a while.
