Sons of Akatosh
Time Wound
Load Full StoryNext ChapterAlduin faced the Dovahkiin, smirking evil throughout his entire being. Flying away before the Dovahkiin could use Dragonrend once more, Alduin laughed at the vain attempts the Dovahkiin and Paarthurnax were making to stop him.
"I will not be defeated here, not by a joor, not by anyone!" Alduin yelled in defiance over the shouts going between the three beings on the strunmah. Turning around to fly away to Sovngard, he came into contact with another dragon. Paarthurnax bashed into the elder brother, smashing the both dragons' heads together.
"No Alduin, this I cannot allow!" Paarthurnax yelled. "One last time Dovahkiin! Quick, use Dragonrend!" He commanded.
The Dovahkiin yelled nothing back in his last shout, sending all of his energy into the energy heading towards the two dragons. In all the confusion going throughout the Throat of the World, Alduin clamped his jaws on Paarthurnax's neck, trying to crush his younger brother's neck.
"You will not kill me, without taking out yourself!" Alduin yelled in victory.
"Aw, that is where you are wrong brother."
The Dragonrend shout made contact with the brothers, forcing them to understand mortality. Already stumbling in flight, the two dovah tackled each other once more, making sure to take each other out. The shout's effect didn't take long to affect the dov flying in the sky, sending them crashing into the ground. Flying through the air, the two brothers crashed into the time wound on the strumah, making time and space wrap itself around them.
"What have you done Paarthurnax!?" Alduin questioned.
"I don't know, but you have been held back once again Alduin!"
"My teeth to your neck Paarthurnax!" Alduin once again lunged himself towards his brother, using a thu'um while flying towards him. "Yol Tor Shul!"
Paarthurnax returned Alduin with his own shout, "Fo Krah Diin!"
Both dragons were locked in an epic struggle between whom had the better strength in their shouts. With Alduin's fire breath, and Paarthurnax's frost breath, they were evenly matched. Neither thu'um would advance farther than the other while stuck in a bound, a connection between the two shouts.
As this was happening, the Elder Scroll's lasting effect on the time wound had worn out, releasing the two brothers into another world completely.
"Ah, another world to enslave." Alduin observed.
"Krosis, Alduin, but your thur will not affect this unknown world!"
"We will see brother! Fus Ro Dah!"
Paarthurnax was sent flying through the air, towards a castle of all things. To his surprise, it reminded him of High Hrothgar on his strunmah. Snapping back to reality, Paathurnax realized he could not use his left wing, spinning him into his inevitable crash with the castle. At the last second, Paarthurnax used Unrelenting force, blowing out the castle's wall he was about to make contact with. He wasn't, however, able to crash through the flooring when he made contact with the inner structure. As soon as he crashed in the castle, it seemed that beings were there to try and apprehend him. Paarthrunax still had enough strength to get up and speak, which he very much planned to do.
"What is this, a dragon crashing into the Canterlot Castle. Guards, restrain it!" Paarthurnax could not tell who or what was speaking, but it struck him as odd that the beings had said a dragon, as if they had already knew of them.
"Guards, what is going on in..." A more regal tone spoke now, instead of the rougher voice found in the guards' voices, "...Here?" The voice continued.
"Princess Celestia, as you can see a dragon has crashed into your throne room." The guard replied.
"Can you speak dragon?" The Princess asked.
"Aye, yes." Paarthurnax could now move his head to see what the intelligent beings were, expecting nothing more than humans. To his surprise they were not any race back in Tamriel, but an animal. "I did not expect you to be key."
"Um, excuse me?" The Princess innocently questioned.
"Aw, you do not speak dov. Key, means horse." Paarthurnax explained.
"Well, we're not exactly horses, but you can just call me Princess Celestia." Celestia replied.
"Krosis, I did not expect my brother to use that thu'um."
"Please guards, let our new guest sit up." The Princess commanded.
"Yes, your highness." The guard said with unease.
"Now you said something about your brother?" Celestia asked.
"Aw, yes. My brother. You need to tell your people that everyone of you are all in danger." Paarthurnax warned.
"We've handled many dragons before, what makes you think that we can't handle your brother?" Celestia asked.
"We, are not from your time or world." Paarthurnax calmly spoke in his regular tone, "The Kelle, sent my brother and myself here."
"What do you mean, not from here?" The Princess asked with concern.
"Well, that is something to be told in the morning. For now, get your rest, and come to me in the morning." Paarthurnax said.
"Alright. Before I go, do you need a place to rest for the night?"
"That, would be nice. A dovah that cannot fly, is a dead dovah."
"Okay, well, for now, I will allow you to rest here, in the throne room." Celestia offered.
"And before you go Princess," Celestia turned in acknowledgement, "I would like to meet a dragon here, in your world. Do you know of any that would be willing to speak with me?"
"Celestia pondered his question for a moment, and than it hit her. "Well, there is one."
