//-------------------------------------------------------// Lullaby for a princess -by Midnight-Watcher- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1     It was a long night for Luna as she walked the steps up to her tower. She was much to tired to fly and raising the moon had been tough as the moon was full. Spending her entire nights helping the smaller ponies of Equestria stay safe was tiring on the young princess. And she spent most of the night chasing a manticore out of Ponyville. Luna hated how the ungrateful ponies slept through her night and frolic and played in her sisters "brilliant" day. The day wasn't all that spectacular it was bright and the sunlight can hurt your eyes. Give you cancer and such. You can't get such ailments in the darkness of night. As Luna crept up the last few steps approaching her dark blue star covered doors she shoved her two guards out of the way without even so much as a glance. She was jealous of her sisters day and how all of the ponies laughed and played. Why can't they play in the night? Luna Climbed onto her navy blue bed which much like the door was covered in constellations. Tomorrow night I shall once again patrol the streets for anyone who enjoys the night as much as I do. With that Luna drifted into a deep sleep. ———————————————— When she awoke Celestia was just starting to lower the sun. By the looks of it it was about 9:00. Luna got up and started her routine of slowly raising the moon to match the speed of her sisters stupid sun. As the sun finally ducked under the horizon the moon once again shone in its full glory and Luna flew off her balcony into the streets below. Ponyville, the bustling capital of Equestria was a quaint little settlement. Just east of the castle through the everfree forest. Along the great brick path. The everfree was more of a woods than a forest. But the trees were growing fast. A small gardening team was hand selected by Celestia to trim back the trees twice a day. Luna would prefer a dark forest-covered path. But noooo everything had to be bright. Luna was flying over the beginning of an apple farm called sweet apple acres. Run by a beautiful mare called Apple Seed. She was currently married to a stunningly strong stallion called Apple Bumpkin. There were few trees but the trees were bountiful. Down the dirt road was the few houses and the huge tree that was hollowed out and made into a library. There lived Luna's great friend starswirl the bearded.
