What Am I Doing Here?

Me and Rose were still lying on the stairs for a bit. Pinkie came over and asked why we were there and not partying. I just told her I'm not a party kind of person and she understood. I kept wondering where the fillies were. I hadn't seen them for a while.

Rose lifted her head off my chest and looked into my eyes. Her eyes were a shade of green, while mine were brown. Same colour as my hair. She sighed and smiled at me.

"I need to ask you something. And I want you to be serious."

I nod and grin.

"Sure, Rose. Ask away."

She leans in closer to my face.

"Have you ever...considered dating a pony?"

God, has she read my mind? I hesitate before nodding very slowly.

"Yeah. Due to the fact that I'm the only human around, it doesn't leave me much option, does it?"

She nods and looks away for a second.

"Would you like to date somepony?"

I shrug and nod.

"Who did you have in mind?"

She blushes and looks back at me.

"Well, I was thinking-"

"Crystal!"

Rose moves off me, looking kinda sad, to allow me to see a scared Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle.

"Girls? What happened?"

Scootaloo took a deep breath, she must've been running. She was sweating and panting.

"Diamond Tiara took Applebloom's sonic screwdriver and threw it into the Everfree Forest! Applebloom ran in after it!"

I blink, confused.

"Okay, so I'll talk to Diamond Tiara later. If it's just a forest, why are you so scared?"

Scootaloo shook her head violently.

"The Everfree Forest isn't a normal kind of forest! There's monster's and Timberwolves inside!"

I had no fucking clue what a Timberwolf is, but when she said monsters I jumped up and clapped my hands.

When I get my hands on that spoilt brat...

"Where's the forest?"

Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle both run out the door with me behind. They began running towards the forest with me following. I really wanted to hear what Rose had to say, but Applebloom is NOT getting hurt by a monster as long as I have blood in my veins. When we reached the outside of the forest, Scoots and Sweetie stopped before the entrance.

I didn't.

I ran right inside and began searching for Applebloom.

"Applebloom?! Applebloom!?"

I kept running and shouting, hoping she could hear me. I didn't get a response. If I found her hurt, I would never forgive myself. I kept looking for a few more minutes, not giving up.

"Help! Help!"

When I heard that small farm filly scream I swear I zoomed faster then Flash to the sound of her voice. When I got to her, a pack of wolves made of....sticks? Were surrounding her. She saw me and her face grew a smile.

"Crystal!"

A Timberwolf lunged for her.

"Oh, no you don't!"

I ran right towards the fucker and socked him in his 2x4 jaw. He was thrown against another Timberwolf, knocking them both away. I turned to Applebloom and waved a hand.

"Get out of here! I've got this!"

Another lunged for me this time. I ducked and wacked him in the stomach as he flew over me. Applebloom shook her head.

"No! Ah'm stayin' right here!"

I turn to her, kneel and hold her shoulders.

"Look, if you got hurt I would never forgive myself! Please, Applebloom! Just go!"

She hesitates. For a moment she stared at me before nodding.

"Ya better come back alive!"

She turns around and starts running away from the pack of Timberwolves, through the plants and towards Ponyville. I sigh and pull my lock knife from my pocket. I turn to the wolves with a dark glare.

"Okay, mother fuckers. Come at me cunt!"

What I really hate is team up's. Especially when it's one on a group. I've always found something about team up's.

The one on their own will always get hurt.

-----3rd Pony Perspective-----

Applebloom ran through the forest after Crystal told her to get out and be safe. She was dangerously worried for Crystal, though. She had her sonic screwdriver in her bow but would give anything just to know he was okay. When she exited the forest Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Rose were waiting for her. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle run towards their friend and gave her a hug.

"Applebloom! We were so worried!"

She hugged them both back. When they broke apart, Rose walked up to Applebloom.

"Where's Crystal?"

A rustling noise came from the forest. Applebloom lowered her gaze to the ground and frowned.

"He's fightin' off Timberwolves for me."

"Who says that I'm fighting off Timberwolves any more?"

Applebloom gasped and spun around and faced Crystal. She gasped again, as did everypony. He was covered head to foot in cuts and blood. The Timberwolves did a number on him. He was holding his left shoulder and was hunched over. He smiled and winked at Rose.

"It'll take more then a pile of re-animated sticks to take me down."

After saying that he chuckles, then falls to the ground. Rose ran over to him and put a hoof on his neck. She looked to the fillies.

"Go get somepony! We need to help him! He could die of blood loss! Go!"

The fillies nod and run into town to get some help. Rose sits down next to Crystal's head and strokes his hair.

"You won't die. Not if I can help it."

She sat there, waiting for the fillies to come back with help for Crystal. After a few minutes, they come back with Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Applejack.

Fluttershy ran up to Crystal's body while Rainbow and AJ walked up to me.

"What happened to him!?"

Rose stands up and points to Applebloom.

"Applebloom ran into the forest, Crystal saved her, got mauled by Timberwolves."

Rainbow flies down to the ground and walks up to Crystal's body while Fluttershy was checking his wounds. The timid pegasus turns to her cyan friend.

"He won't last long. We need to get him treated properly."

Rainbow nodded and flew over to Crystal's feet.

"AJ, pick up his hoofs- whatever they're called!"

AJ nods and walks over to Crystal's body. She picks up Crystal by his hands at the same time Rainbow picked him up by his feet.

"Okay, we have to do this right! Move in unison!"

As the marched away with Crystal towards Fluttershy's house, the fillies and Rose follow. None of them would let him die without a fight.

-----Crystal's Perspective------

Darkness all around me, I couldn't see shit. I assumed I fell unconscious, because the last thing I remember was the grounding smashing into my face. I looked around and spun around, trying to find something. Anything. Then I saw it. A strange light up ahead. I swear, as I was walking towards it, I could hear voices.

"....Set hi....ver there...."

"...Hurr...we nee.....uick...."

I recognized the first one as Fluttershy's voice, and the other as Rose. As I walked closer, they started making sense.

"He'll be fine, girls. Don't worry. He needs to rest now. Come by tommorow and you can be with him."

Fluttershy again. Taking care of me? Why? I wasn't important to her. Finally, I had reached the light. As I walked through it, it felt like something was being ripped out of my chest.

I shot up in the bed and looked around. I was inside somepony's bedroom. I assumed it to be Fluttershy's bed. Again, why am I so special? Besides the fact that I'm over 3,000 years old. I won't be getting used to that any time soon. I remove the bloody blanket covering me and try and stand up. Unfortunately, like the time at Sweet Apple Acres, I fell flat on my arse again.

I heard a small "Eep!" come from the door. I look over painfully and see Fluttershy with an annoyed look on her face walking towards me.

"You shouldn't have tried walking yet, Crystal!"

I grin and scratch the back of my head.

"Heh. Sorry, Fluttershy."

I pull myself up with the bed and climb back inside. I checked myself over. I had millions of cuts all along my arms, along with some nasty gashes on my chest. All of these were covered in bandages. But the big thing annoying me was a slight pain in my leg. Fluttershy walked next to my bed and smiled.

"I'm so glad you're okay."

I nod and look down at my pants, which were torn to all 4 corners of hell.

"What's wrong with my leg? It hurts really badly."

Fluttershy frowned and walked down to my leg, pulling the pants up and showing me the nastiest wound I've ever seen. About 17 stitches were sown into my leg which looked absolutely horrific.

"A Timberwolf got your leg in its mouth. It was bleeding so much a few days ago when we brought you here."

I almost choked.

"A few days?! I've been out for a few days?!"

She cringed at my volume, but nodded her head.

"Y-Y-Yes. The girls have been visiting you for the past few days. They'll be overjoyed to see you're up and awake."

I shook my head and tried to stand up again.

"I want them to know now!"

Fluttershy, to my bloody amazement, flew up and shoved me into the bed. She looked deeply into my eyes with the scariest look I've ever seen.

"Now, you will stay in bed! Got it!?"

I was holding my arms in front of my face, trying to shield myself from her gaze. What the fuck? Was she like Cyclops from X-Men or something?! When she saw I was terrified beyond all belief, she stopped giving me that stare and looked worried for me. She flew up to my arms and held them.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

I open my eyes and lower my arms.

"What the hell was that?"

She smiles and flies back down to the ground.

"The Stare. It's a thing I use on animals."

I grump and cross my arms.

"I ain't no animal."

Fluttershy giggles and shook her head.

"Rose would argue with you on that. She see's how you eat food."

I lower my arms and laugh.

"Yeah. Speakin' of which, do you have any food? I'm hungry."

She nods and backs away slightly towards the door.

"What can I get you?"

I thought about it for a second, being careful not to make a stupid decision.

I clearly didn't think it through.

"Do you have any meat?"

The moment those words left my mouth, I closed it with my hands. I expected Fluttershy to yell at me or something. Instead, she does the complete opposite.

"Of course. I have to keep my animals well fed, don't I? Especially the ones that eat meat."

I was shocked. I thought she would be disgusted by me eating meat. She smiles and turns to the door.

"Meat it is. I'll be right back."

I stared at the yellow pegasus as she exited the room to go get my dinner. I checked outside to see the time, it was night time. So I guess after this I can go to sleep. Unless....

I ruffle through my pockets and sigh with relief.

The wolves didn't get either my screwdriver or my DSi. Thank god. I don't know what I would do if I lost my screwdriver.

Fluttershy enters the room with a plate on her back. It had a large slab of meat on it. I look to her with confusion.

"Where did you get this from?"

She winks at me.

"Secrets."

Another flash back of Chrissy flashed through my mind. What secrets was she talking about? My secrets? I don't have many...

I thank Fluttershy and take the plate from her. She exited the room and left me to dine. I'm not surprised. I was going to eat something that would probably make her sick. Heh. Sorta like me and chocolate. I smile and dig into my meaty bounty.

-----The Next Morning-----

Well, this was a weird morning. First, I heard a song as I woke up. Second Rose, Applebloom, Scoots and Sweetie Belle were huddled around a table in the room with my laptop on it. Music was blaring from my laptop.

The fillies laughed and cheered. I couldn't blame em. It's a good song. I clap my hands together very loudly, attracting the attention of the fillies. I get a goofy smile and hold out my arms.

"Right, who stole my laptop?"

In an instant, the three fillies rushed over to me and tackled me into a giant hug.

"Crystal!!!!"

I smiled and patted their backs as best I could.

"How ya going?"

They didn't respond. They were shaking and I could hear crying. Scootaloo lifted her head to me. She had tears pouring down her face.

"We...We thought that you..."

She couldn't finish. She just re-grabbed me and continued crying. I must mean more then I thought to these girls. They got off the bed, leaving tears on my chest and bandages. Rose walked up to the bed with a smile and some tears in her eyes. I smile and wink at her.

"What did you wanna ask me, again?"

Her only response was jumping forward onto the bed and kissing me full on the lips. I've never been kissed before in my whole life. It felt warm and...nice. I expected my first kiss to go to a human, but seeing as options were limited, all I did was close my eyes and hold her in my arms.

Sorry, Chrysalis. Looks like I've got a girlfriend.
