He heard a droning sound accompanying the tapping on rock, but this sound seemed to change pitch and tone constantly, almost like a tune. Yes, a tune. But this had little rhythm. Next there were tiny crunching sounds which even his ears struggled to hear. Even so, he still saw but black. Then there was another sound, this one definitely a droning noise, but this, spiralling, was getting closer. The first noise, which was now hanging on the same noise, was now recognizable as something an animal made. He listened, it seemed to be the end of a word. He pondered a moment. This was a creature, one that could talk. He knew of only one species that could speak, which he had learned when two of them, he knew were called Celestia and Luna, which one was which he didn't know, trapped him in the wretched place he was in now several millennia ago. They were called Ponies. Now stirred, Kllackra's black claws gripped the rock beneath them and his glowing red eyes snapped open. ~~~ Kllackra examined the chamber he had left his dark alcove to see. It was largely crystal. Crystals appealed to him. They were naturally sharp and thus made great substitutes for claws, for plunging into the chests of innocent surface creatures. Ugh, they disgusted him, and his habit of ripping them limb from limb just to cover their ugliness in something had made the red blood of them appeal to him, which made him kill even more. His attention was drawn to a tiny voice coming from a miniscule alcove to his left. The voice said in a monotonous tone "You're not going anywhere...". Kllackra's claws extended and sharpened and he growled at the alcove. He was an ancient, giant Demon, resembling a dragon with some dog-like features and the ability to stand on two legs, he could likely handle whatever had said that. His interest was piqued when the same voice again spoke. "I want it!". Kllackra slowly stepped across the chamber towards the tiny alcove. His attention was diverted when he plummeted off the edge of the ridge he was on. ~~~ Just when he thought he was about to land on some sharp crystals, the two wings he forgot he had opened and he glided back up, landing just outside the little alcove. He peered inside, he was far too giant to get inside. It was empty, but he heard something moving up, towards the surface. Leaping back he gripped the ceiling and tore some crystals off, discarding them. Pressing his ear against the ceiling, he listened. Some form of event was on, from the number of voices he heard. He decided to bide his time, he did not want to appear infront of TOO many. As much fun as he did have ripping apart tiny equines, too many could get difficult. Some were armed and the 'Celestia and Luna' might be there. He didn't intend on sleeping another millennia or so. -IN THE PRESENT- Kllackra checked the sounds in the ceiling for the 7379274691th time. There WERE plenty of voices, but they were at least half a kilometer away. Good. Even if there were many, he had room to plan, make a course of attack. Destroy a few things, throw some giant boulders at them, dive into the gorey fun afterwards and enjoy the red mess. Ripping away at the ceiling, he burrowed a tunnel climbing upwards. He heard the voices getting louder. The excitement became energy, surging through his muscles as he tore off giant boulders a pony could carve a house out of. After a moment of building excitement and some drool dribbling from his mouth, Kllackra found a giant chamber that was far far brighter. He had succeeded. ~~~ The ponies cheered and celebrated, watching the chariot containing Princess Twilight and the Element Bearers fly off towards Ponyville. A couple gave a glance behind them at the utmost faintest of digging sounds, which they only heard for an instant before turning away. As time passed more were attracted to the noise and soon the cheers died down as the ponies stared at the Palace as the sound of crunching rock became louder. The Princesses moved away, with Celestia warning the ponies and her sister to keep away, as it sounded like something large was rising. Barely a minute later and the Palace floor exploded as a giant black dragon with runes and markings all across it glowing red ripped into the surface, shattering the Palace as it rose. The people screamed and made for the exit, the Pegasi rising up high, only to be sent back down as debris made it too difficult to fly. The Royal Guards attacked the giant. Half of them were ended when half of a breaking tower flew into them. Crashing into the terrified crowds below. Clapping his hands, the giant trapped the rest in his grip, holding their upper half in one hand and the lower in the other, before thrusting his hands apart, ripping the guards in half and sending the giant spurt of blood and innards across the people. The Princesses attacked, their courage only slightly faltered by the angry gaze of the demon. They both realised something. He recognized them. Before he made his attack that sent the Sisters spiralling across Equestria, one word was muttered by the surprised elder sister. "Kllackra..."
