Spike finally snaps and runs away to the Everfree forest, but he make sure nopony ever finds him. Yet he runs into some unlikely faces, and soon they will become his greatest friends and allies.

Spike is tired of doing everything Twilight forces him to do. One day she pushes him off the edge and runs away into the Everfree Forest. When he arrives he runs into several other baby dragons around the same age as him if not a year or two younger.

Because of his extensive knowledge from living in a libraries most of his life, he becomes the leader of this group. They grow and survive in the Everfree Forest together for years. They become bigger, stronger, faster, a closer family for Spike then Twilight or any of her friends ever were.

Twilight and friends have been on the search for Spike ever since he left. They are in for one hay of a surprise if they ever find him.
