Ponies of all kinds were walking the streets, saying 'Hello' to one another as they walked past each other. The Ponyville library was quiet as usual. Twilight was sitting on her bed reading a book. Her dragon Spike was taking his mid-afternoon nap. Twilight's friends had their own things to do today. She closed her book and when downstairs to fix herself some tea. Once she got to her kitchen, she saw that she was out of her special herb tea. "Oh darn, I forgot to go to Zecora's to get the tea." She said to herself. She lifted a piece of paper and her quill, to leave a note for Spike in case he woke up and she was still out. She grabbed her saddle bags and fastened them, she trotted out of the library. As Twilight walked though town, she came across her friend Applejack working her apple stand. "Howdy Twilight!" The orange mare said to Twilight. "Hey Applejack. How's business?" "Slow, but we're selling. " Twilight felt bad for the lack of business, she decided to by a few apples. "I'll buy a dozen apples off you AJ." "Thanks a bunch Twi. That will be six bits." "Here you go." Twilight said giving Applejack the bits and taking the bag of apples. "See you later Applejack." "Ok sugarcube. Tell Spike I said 'Hi' ." "I will" Twilight yelled as she rounded the corner. The next 10 minutes to Zecora's were quite peaceful. Twilight enjoyed the peace and quiet, it gave her time to think. She arrived at the apothecary's hut a few minutes later, the smell of magic in the air. "My dear Twilight, oh oh oh! What brings you to my humble home?" The potion maker asked the unicorn. "Hi Zecora, I came here to get some more herbal tea from you." "Ah, my tea does appease the taste does it not? Do you drink it warm, cool, frozen or hot?" "That it does Zecora ... I like my tea rather hot." Zecora then went to the back of her hut to fetch the tea for Twilight. She came out a few moments later and gave Twilight the tea. "Thanks again Zecora." Twilight said as she walked out the hut and into the path out of the Everfree forest. After a few minutes of walking, Twilight was enjoying the slience of the forest when suddenly she tripped over something and fell down. "What the buck?" she said as she slowly got up and looked to see what tripped her. She looked down and saw that it is a wooden mask that caused her to trip. "A mask? That's it?" she said as she picked it up in her magic and looked at it. The mask was brown and small, like it only covered the face of a pony. It was a pony face shaped mask. "Hmm Interesting. I think I'll look over this at home later." Twilight said as she opened her saddle bag and put the mask in there. "I think I'll stop by Sugarcube Corner and buy something for Spike.". She then started her walk out of the forest, but what she didn't see was a soft green glow come from her bags with the mask in it, "TWILIGHT!!!" Yelled Pinkie Pie as the lavender unicorn walked through the door. "Hi Pinkie, how are you today?" "OH I'm superdupperawesometasticulitmateterffiacfantastic! How are you?" said the hyper pink pony. "I'm fine, I just came by to buy some cupcakes for Spike." "AWW thats sweet of you Twilight. Here take a free dozen cupcakes for Spike." "WOW FREE?! Thanks Pinkie are you sure?" "Heck yeah. We sold really today. Besides those are the last cupcakes for the day." "Thanks Pinkie, I'll tell Spike you said 'Hi'" said Twilight. "Ok BYE!" Pinkie said as she waved to Twilight. "SPIKE I'M HOME!!!!" "Hey Twilight. How was Zecora's?" asked the little dragon. "Good. What have you been up too?" Twilight said as she took off her saddle bags "Just been doing my chores. Did you bring something?" Twilight let out a small chuckle "Yes Spike I brought you cupcakes." "SWEET!!" the dragon grabbed the box and started to eat the treats. "Now don't eat them all before dinner." Twilight said to him and all she got was a "mmm mh from him.' She started to walk upstairs with her bags, but Spike yelled for her. "Oh Twilight! Rainbow Dash was over a few minutes ago and told me to tell you to meet her at out where she does her stunts for help at 8:00am tomorrow." "Ok thanks Spike." Twilight went into her room and closed the door behind her. She checked the time '4:30pm'. 'I got time to finish that book' she thought to herself. She threw down her bags and the mask slipped out if it a little bit. SHe grabbed her book in her magic and began to read where she left off. While she was lost in the book, the mask's inside gave off another soft green glow. Author's Note Hope you enjoyed it.

She floats it back to it's place on the shelf and let out a yawn . "Spike!?" she yelled. Little footsteps could be heard coming from the stairs. "Yeah Twilight? asked the little drake "I'm gonna go out for dinner. Think you can close up in a bit and head to bed on time?" "Sure thing Twi." Twilight smiled down on Spike "Thanks Spike I know I can count on you" The young dragon smiled in pride. She wait to her saddle bags and set them on, but the mask she found slid out of the bag and landed on her pillow. "I'll be back later Spike. Goodnight." The lavender pony said as she walked out the door. Spike watched as she left, then he went to the kitchen to eat some of his gem stones. After eating his gems, Spike went up to his bed to read a book on hooking up with mares. Thinking of Rarity, the love of his life, trying to find a way to impress her. After a hour of reading, he finds everything in the book useless. He puts it back on the shelf where it belongs. The sun was beginning to set, he went out on the balcony to watch it. As he walked passed Twilight's bed, with him noticing, the mask gave off a strong green glow. 'Soon I will be worn again' The mask said to itself. Twilight walked in the restaurant, and sat down at a empty table. "May I take your order miss?" said a waiter. "Can I have a daisy sandwich, with hayfires and a milkshake. Please." "I will return soon with your food ma'am." As Twilight waited for her food, she saw the sun setting. She loved seeing her mentor's sunset. It brought back memory's. The waiter brought her food to her. "Enjoy" "Thank you sir. " She said as she started eating, she saw a familiar face walk in the restaurant. "Fluttershy! How are you?" "Oh Twilight, it's fancy meeting you here. I'm fine thanks for asking." said the timid peagus. "Do you want to eat some of my dinner with me?" Fluttershy blushed and pawed at the floor with her hoof. "Oh, I couldn't possible.." "Fluttershy I insist." "Well if you say it's ok" The two mares then ate their meal. The waiter was kind and generous enough to bring Fluttershy a free sandwich. After the finished eating, they left the waiter a very good tip, the mares when for a quick walk to the park. "Hey Fluttershy, how are your animals doing?" "Oh they are just wonderful. My friend Mr. Bear, had another bad back pain, so I massaged him." The peagus coming out of her shyness shell. "That is wonderful." "How is Spike doing?" "Spike? He is doing great still growing up everyday. It pains me to see almost going to be grown up someday" "I know how you feel Twilight, but you can't stop the future from coming, enjoy the present while you can." "Thank you Fluttershy, your a great friend" Twilight said as she gave her friend as hug. The sun had finally set, and Luna's moon has risen in the night sky with the stars. Spike yawned as he stood up and walked back inside. "I am beat." he mumbled. He started to walk toward his bed, when he saw the mask on Twilight's bed. "What this?" He picked it up and held it out. It looked like as if it could fit a pony's face or dragon's. He turned it around to stare at the inside, when he suddenly saw a bright green glow emit from one side of the mask, to the other. He nearly dropped it after that display with magic. As if in a trance, he began to bring it to his face, very slowly. As it got closer, the mask began it shake in his grasp. When it was an inch from his muzzle, it leapt from his claws and onto his face! He stumbled back as the mask shot out a thin green mist. It began to move on his face as if it were rubber! It moved down on his face trying to fit on his face. Spike groaned and grunted as the mask squirmed on his face. The mask then jerked his head back, as eight tendrils shot out of the edges of the mask and landed fimly on his head. Spike was in total shock and fear of his current predictament. He reached up to stop the tendrils from covering his head but they just brushed his claws aside. They covered his whole head and spikes on his head too. He grabbed his head and twisted it up and yelled in pain as the mask moved on his face fitting into his scales. He reached from the top of his head and tried to scratch at it, but it glowed green from where he scratched. The mask tightened skin tight on the young drake's head and connect to his eyes and mouth. The mask also parted at his nostrils so he could breathe. The mask then jerked his head back once more and made him fall backwards into his bed. His legs kicking the air as he kept his claws on the mask still trying to pry it off, but his attempts were in vain. Then in a split second, the mask jerked him out of his bed, standing up and twisted his head to the side making him a purple and brown twister. The twister spun around the room, trashing everything in it path. After a few more seconds the twister came to a screeching halt. Spike has completely changed, he has gotten taller, as tall as a pony. His scales are now a bright crimsion color, his head is now bright green and his face feels like real scalely skin. His green eyes are a darker shade of green now, Spike is wearing a black tuxeudo shirt and jacket, with a black fedora on top of his head to match his get-up. "Oooo somepony better call in fire patrol, because I'm making this a hot night on the town!" Masked Spike said. His eyes turned toward a picture of twilight and her friends. His eyes literally popped right of their sockets and and steam whistle blows out of now where "OH sugar honey ice teaaaa" his said as he grabbed the frame to look at a certain pony in the picture. "This lovely mare is in for SUPRISE tonight!" He said as he kissed the picture and tossed it behind him and landed on twilights bed. He reached into his jacket pocket and some how pulled a life like dummy of him sleeping, he put it in his bed and tossed the covers on it. "Lets not worry that pretty bookworms head off" Spike said as he zoomed off out the library and into Ponyville. The picture frame on the bed sat on the covers still, but a pair of lip stain were covering a certain pony. Author's Note enjoy chapter 2 (redited)

Fluttershy is humming a merry little tune to herself, as she carried the big bag of food for her animal friends. Meanwhile Spike was walking along Ponyville on his merry way. The mask was making him feel more confident and more charming than his meekly normal self. "Now where would she be?" He said. Spike had been in an alley between several buildings when he sees the yellow furred pink maned pony walking by. His eyes literally pop out of sockets while steam flies out of his ear frills. "There you are my precious." He cracked his knuckles and rushed quickly over to Fluttershy with lighting speed. "Hello my sweet." He said with a smirk. She jumps into the air with a loud 'EEEEEK' then comes flapping down. "Sp...spike? Is that you?" "Why yes my precious it is. But I'm new and improved. "He said wiggled his eyebrows at her. The eyebrows only increase the level of discomfort the shy pony feels. "What what happened to you?" She looks at at the now darker colored scales, the larger and more pointy spikes, the increase in body height and not to mention..."Your face it so green?" He wraps a arm around her and strokes her cheek lightly with his other claw. "It doesn't matter my sweet. All that matters is how I feel about you. "He says. But before he could even blink Fluttershy was running off as fast as her hoofs could carry her, with the added speed of her wings. Her uncomfortable level had just gone up into the red zone. "WAIT MY SWEET!!!" He says as she forgot her animals food. He shrugs and picks up the heavy bag like it was ape bible and rushed after her. "I love a chase" Fluttershy flees into the safety of her house and faster then perhaps even rainbow dash herself she slammed the door shut and locked the key lock, the deadbolt, the chain latch, and the floor bolt. And while Angel sat back and watched Fluttershy began moving furniture in front of the door bit by bit and shut the blinds to the window. When that was done she wiped the sweat from her brow. "Phew." "Hello my precious sweet." Says Spike from behind her. Fluttershy's eyes widen and then slowly turns around. Looks at Spike then back at the sealed door, then back at Spike. "I came down the chimney like Santa Hooves. " Smiles with pride. "Oh and you dropped this. "He holds up the bag of food then drops onto the floor, which Angel Bunny happened to be standing, getting crushed the bag. "Okay...spike...clearly there is something wrong with you...we need to call twilight." She thinks for a moment."or maybe the royal canterlot guard." "Oh I'm completely fine. I'm better than I've ever felt." He take a few steps toward her. Fluttershy puts distance between them."Umm I don't mean to be impolite but you are invading my personal space" "Oh am I. Forgive me my dear." He steps back. "Now where were we?" He says with a slick grin. "What happened to you?" She asks with a hint of fear in her voice. "I got a makeover. Help from a little friend. " He take a step forward only to get stopped by several birds flying in front of him. "Greetings comrades"he exclaims. The birds stare at Spike for a moment then fly and hide inside fluttershy's mane. "Spike, I think whatever you did to yourself you need to undo. Did you go reading through one of twilights spell books?" "No spells, just the power of love."he pulls roses from out of no where and offers them to her. "For you my sweet." "umm uh not that I am not flattered spike but I thought you had a crush on Rarity?" She asked puzzled. "Oh she's a thing of the past my dear." He steps closer to her then suddenly Fluttershy's animals rush him to the ground. Angel helps with a bunny karate kick to spike's green face. The birds and other animals start grabbing his rubber green face and start pulling. It start to fade from green to brown wood. "hey hey can't we talk this over?!" He yells in pain as the mask starts to pull off his face. "Spike I don't know what is wrong with you but I am certain that this green face is the culprit" She aids her friends and uses her teeth to help tug. A green twister forms around his body as the mask unwraps around his head, his body returning to normal. Fluttershy keeps pulling and thinks "What is this thing?" The mask pops off Spike's face as the twister fades and the mask falls to the floor with a 'thunk'. Spike then pass out from exhaustion. Fluttershy helps put spike on the couch to rest and then turns her attention to the mask, which Angel sniffs and then hops away "Oh my...whatever could this thing be?" She picks it up and sees that it is just a normal wooden face mask. She sets it on the table, and walks over to Spike to check on him. "Thank goodness he is back to normal...well at least physically" She realizes Twilight maybe wondering where he is at. She starts to move furniture away from the door and unlocks it , then picks Spike up to bring him home. As she trots out the door, the mask shimmers. Twilight paces the library wondering where Spike could be at this time of night. "He's has never done this. Was it something I said?" There is a knocking at her door. She teleports to the door and uses her magic to swing it open almost yanking it off it hinges. "Where is he!?" She yells. She then notices it is Fluttershy holding Spike. "umm right here...sorry." she says sheepishly "Oh Spike your okay." She grabs Spike from Fluttershy and hugs him. "Thank you Fluttershy. " "Um no problem...uhh Twilight was Spike acting unusual earlier today?" "No, he seemed fine when I left earlier. Why? Did something happen?" Twilight asks with a raised brow. "Um well.." ponders whether or not to tell twilight what happened. She looks at Fluttershy waiting for an answer, when Spike comes too. "Uh....what happened?" Both mares rush over to the baby dragon. "Uh...what are you girls staring at me for?" "umm Spike, do you remember anything?" Fluttershy asks him. "All I remeber is star gazing then I think I went to bed." He said, not remembering anything from wearing the mask. "Well uh...sorry...but I have to go feed my animals...Twilight, spike, good day." She flies off in a hurry. "Can I go back to sleep now Twilight?" Spike asks. "Sure Spike goodnight." She hugs him then let's him walk upstairs. Meanwhile Fluttershy gets home and feeds her animals dinner then sits on her couch staring at the mask on her table. The first she had noticed that every animals in her home was steering clear of the mask. Which did not seem like anything special. Just some dirty piece of green/brown wood. She stares at the mask longer when suddenly somepony knocks on her door. "Fluttershy open up, it's me Dash." Fluttershy gets up off the couch, bumps into the table, knocking the mask onto the floor. She goes over and opens up the door. "hello Rainbow, what brings you here" she asks. "Fluttershy did you forget, Pinkie is throwing a all nighter party at AJ's place. Their pulling out the good cider. " Rainbow Dash ssays "Oh right, sorry I was...preoccupied with something." "Well come one and hurry up." She exclaims as she flies off with a zoom. "Right behind you Rainbow." Says Flutteshy. She then shuts the door to get ready to go and flys off after Rainbow, She then remebers she forgot to feed angel. Fluttershy flys back with great speed to her home and rushes into the kitchen, to Angel tapping his foot. "Oh Angel bunny, I am so sorry." She fills Angels bowl with carrots and apple slices. Angel gives her a small glare but shrugs then starts eating. Fluttershy then gets ready to walk out when she hears a shimmer. Fluttershy turns attention to the floor where the mask had fallen. It is laying face down on the floor from where she bumped into the table. She walks back over it it. She stares down at the mask. Her muzzle gets close to the mask, then suddenly the mask jumps onto her face with a wet slap "SWEET CELESTIA!" The mask twist and tugs on her face and begins to engulf her head and mane. The tendrils slither down her long mane pulling into the back of her head. "Somepony...helllllllp!" She screams The mask muffles her screams as it finishes tugging at her mane encasing her while head. It squeezes her head like rubber and connects to her eyes and mouth. It then tights on her head making her groan then she becomes a yellow twister . She spins around her living knocking over things, books go flying. Her animals hide in fear of what was happening to their caretaker. The twister suddenly comes to a halt. Fluttershy coat is now a darker yellow. Her cutie mark has morphed into replica of the mask in its wooden state. Her mane Ian's tail are a lot shorter and now a brown color. He face in now bright green with a rubber feel to it. "Now that is what I call a ssssssmokin entrance. " she says with a grin and with a confidence she never had before. Fluttershy then pulled some dark shades out from nowhere and put them over her eyes* "Check it out now ya'll mama is ready to get down." She remeber the party then she lunges into flight, right through her window. "Leroooooooy jerkins!!!" She exclaims as she flies into the night. Author's Note Sorry for the looong delay.
