The Battle for Stallbluf
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAnd how foul they were
After the mere seconds of gripping shock passed through the crowd of ponies, everything went straight to hell. Ponies fled screaming in all directions, those too panic ridden to exactly tell where they were fleeing, were cut down by the hostile creatures. The slightly startled guardsmen jumped into the fray, using their comrade's death as a source of vengeful fury. By this point, most civilians had fled the immediate area, and the guardsmen were practically painting the town square with their blood. The first line met the blood letters and Vilek head on, hell blades tore through armor, flesh, and bone with terrifying ease, all the while, ranged support emerged for both sides. The space marines had good laugh at the antique flintlock firearms the enemy possessed, as their small lead balls bounced harmlessly off the cerimite plating of the invaders, who responded by blowing the guardsmen to literal pieces. The only problems the invaders encountered came in the form of the winged Xenos, who five bombed them relentlessly, and dropped small hand grenades of primitive design upon them, the most these would do was the separation of an unprotected limb, or shrapnel wounds. These strikes ended however, when the dreadnought was targeted by the Xenos attacks, lashing out with his mighty power fist, the walker would snatch fliers out of the air, cripple them, and then drop them to the "mercy" of the ground troops, whenever he didn't feel like tossing them into a building or simply crushing them to pulp with a wicked chuckle to accompany the acts.
As this went on, the defenders of Stallbluf were completely obliterated with only minor wounds and no casualties inflicted upon the invaders, who began to either defile the corpses of the dead, or pillage the surrounding homes and other buildings to gain their spoils. Pegasi began to flee the city limits, but were cut down by pursuing marines stationed upon the rooftops. Heretics, blood letters, and daemonettes immediately began slaying the innocent to reach their daemonic quotas, while done heretics began work establishing a forward command for their forces with summoned structures. Khorne berserkers began to travel in a Viking like horde throughout the streets, killing and destroying all they encountered. They arrived at the local town watch, where they caught a single unicorn speaking to a superior through a conjured portal, on the floor lay two incapacitated heretics, the guardsman apparently not wanting to kill them. Needless to say, the berserkers were thrown into an absolute rage at discovering this plea for reinforcements, and show of mercy. The unicorn was torn asunder by the marines, right before the disgusted superior in the portal, it began to close just as the marines engaged in an almost tribal rant in a circle, each sporting some body part, and catching the very smallest remark from the superior, "summon the Empress's armies!"
Vilek meanwhile, was busy consulting the tech marine and his group of heretics over where the walks ought to be erected, when two very familiar specters wandered into the square, followed by two large servitors who were busy burning and shooting as their programming saw fit. Upon seeing them, Vilek cried out in a booming tone. "My masters! Come to join in this splendid conquest!? There is still much work to be done!" Upon finishing, a group of giddy daemonettes ran up to the warlord carrying a small chest of gold from the city vaults, "yessss" Vilek said with greedy satisfaction evident in his voice, "fetch the rest!" And with that, the daemonettes were off screaming with delight. "And just where were you?" An astounded Elegost said to the reformed heretic, "well, it solves our force problem..." Parix thought aloud, only to be silenced by Vilek's authority-filled tone. "All in good time my Lords, but do tell a curious warlord as to how you arrived here." As he finished, Elegost put his ghostly fingers on the forehead of Vilek, showing him just how they came to be there.
