Incarnate
Worthy of a Black Crusade
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt did not take long for Celestia's war leaders to assemble in the royal war room, representatives of her Army, Air Force, and numerous other sects appeared for this summit, including the shadowy rogues of the royal assassin's guild, and the pious stallions of Celestia's elite guard. The room they gathered in was massive inside, with gilded columns reaching high to support upper levels of bookshelves filled with strategy volumes and epics of historic conquests, in the center of the room was a great table occupied by all of the representatives, as well as a fuming goddess. Across this table lay numerous maps of Stallbluf, as well as records of imperial troop patrols in the immediate area around the village. Many of which had not sent reports of late...
You see, the Equestrians had long ago enslaved smaller breeds of dragons to act as message senders of very important ponies, not one patrol left without one. "Send orders to patrols 43 and 47 immediately" said the commander of Celestia's basic army, "tell them to fortify and hold the crossroads at all costs! Once we have pegasi support, we shall send relief." As the general finished, a royal scribe took the message to a nearby dragon child and ordered it to send the message, the bruises and scars given by his masters reminding him what failure brought, he obliged and sent the message post haste.
Little did the Equestrian general know, the assailants had patrols if their own. Those not foolish enough to travel on the open road either, and as the Equestrians passed by in their gold and plumed helms, murderous eyes watched from the tree line. All of a sudden, the murderous eyes of heretical soldiers widened in extreme shock, as a loud crash gave sight and attention to a massive grey creature opposite the heretics with the guards stuck in between. The beast was slouched slightly, and carried a huge club in each hand as it tore the once tight formation to pieces. Once half of the guards were decimated, the chaotic hordes charged, catching those still fighting in the back. It was over in an instant, bolter shells, massive clubs, and sharp blades reduced the force to nothing in mere seconds, but it only became interesting when the tree line opposite the heretics and behind the now at peace creature exploded with small versions of the beast gushing forward, surrounding the heretics and snarling with their strangely canine faces. As they took position, a large creature stepped toward the chaotic patrol, and uttered but one word, "you'z gottah see da Boss."
