There has been an empire of ponies in space for thousands of years, expanding to hundreds of planets every day.

Then they stumbled upon Equestria, a planet that has been living in harmony while they themselves are seething warmongers, and their government scrambles to send an expedition of scientists to study the planet and it's culture.
