Dan, Colin, and I were awoken by a guard who send us to the dining hall. I’m starting to get the hang of navigating this castle. “So Aidan, I been thinking, because we have super-duper regeneration doesn’t that make us immortal?” Dan asked.

“I guess. I’d never thought about that before, but say your head was chopped off, wouldn’t you die from that?” I responded.

“Wana find out?” Dan said with a grin.

“No thanks, maybe later sometime,” I responded mockingly.

Our trio walked down the halls to the dining hall. I left my broken armor in my room, as did Colin. Upon entering the dining hall we saw Luna and a tired Celestia.

“Good morning,” I said with a smile. Looking to Celestia I could see that she didn’t take lack of sleep well.

She responded with a tired smile, “Good morning.” Really she should be sleeping, but I guess she has to manage the kingdom.

I saw Luna staring at Dan, observing him cautiously, “Luna, this is Dan. He was taken here by Mendax to help us defeat Prophet.”

“Oh, It’s a pleasure to meet you Dan,” She said with a warm smile holding out a hoof for Dan to shake.

Before all this, Luna was Dan’s favorite pony. You can imagine how happy he was shaking her hoof, “The pleasure’s all mine!” When he wanted to put on a face, he could, the sneaky bastard.

“So, Dan, how ‘bout goin’ to Ponyville later?” I asked as we sat down to begin eating.

Dan looked over the table and instantly noticed the lack of meat, “Yeah, yeah, but what’s with the lack of eggs here?” That earned a facepalm from me and strange looks from the princesses. “Seriously! Ponies have their cupcakes and stuff. Baked goods have eggs in them! Is it too hard to fry up an egg for a guy?”

“Fry an egg?” Celestia asked.

“Yeah!” Dan said enthusiastically.

“Humans usually eat meat, and Dan loves his meat,” Colin said.

“Yeah, both kinds,” I said looking at Dan.

Dan responded with an angry glare, “All I’m saying is it doesn’t make sense, have backed goods but not fry eggs!”

“Oh darn, Dan doesn’t get his eggs,” I mocked. “Celestia, mind getting me another set of armor? My current set was broken when Dan was being controlled.”

Luna had a horrified look on her face, “Aidan, what happened?”

“Well, while Dan was being memory blocked he decided it would be a good idea to ram his fist into my chest,” I said pointing to my chest.

“Oh, dear,” Luna said shifting her gaze to Dan.

“It wasn’t my fault, Mendax was in my head at the time,” He said defensively.

“I see,” Luna said still a little untrusting of Dan.

We finished our meal and walked out of the dining hall, “Goodbye Celestia, Luna, we’ll be heading to Ponyville now.”

“See ya, Luna” Dan said as we left. Luna was still his favorite; he didn’t pay much mind to Celestia, who was just another face to him.

We walked through the long corridors supported by arches with beautiful decorations all over. There must be some kind of celebration coming up that I didn’t know of. I’ll have to ask somepony about that when I get the chance. I led Dan and Colin to the runway where the pegasi guards were going to take our carriage to Ponyville. The early morning breeze was refreshing. It was time to take that familiar boring trip to Ponyville.

We stepped off the carriage one at a time in front of the library where Twilight was sure to be. We walked to the library and knocked on the door. Spike was the one who answered as usual.

“Hey, Aidan, wana see Twilight?” He asked.

“Yeah, are the others around today?” I asked as he welcomed us in.

“I think so. As far as I know Applejack is the only pony busy until lunch,” Dan was the last person to walk in and earned a gasp from Spike. “Who are you?”

“Hey, Spike, my name is Dan,” He said towering over Spike. Dan is about six feet tall, me being around five feet nine. Dan’s height wasn’t what startled spike though, aside from the fact that Dan was another human in Equestria. Dan’s build, much larger than mine, was what scared the baby dragon. He must have hidden last night when Dan and I had our little joke fight.

“Woah!” Spike said in awe as Dan knelt known to shake spikes small claw.

“Hey, Aidan, how have you been?” Twilight asked as she walked into the main room.

“Not bad. We’re just here to introduce Dan to the others and make sure nopony worries about the manticore murderer,” I said. “Know if the others have anything going on today?”

“Applejack is the only pony that has to work today, want to go visit her?” Twilight asked.

“Why not,” I said. Looking to my human friends I asked, “You coming?”

Spike had taken to sitting on Dan’s shoulder, “Sure, let’s go.”

Colin followed behind us as we walked through the town. Twilight and Spike decided to take a longer route so she could gather the others as she went along. Colin, Dan, and I went straight to Sweet Apple Acres. I figured it would be better to surprise everypony at the same time.

We walked through the town to Sweet Apple Acres. Dan received many odd looks from the passing ponies, they weren’t used to him yet. The fact that I was walking with him let them know that everything was fine. Colin didn’t ease their mind any, they had never seen him do anything special like I had done.

Arriving at Sweet Apple Acres we were greeted by Granny Smith and Applebloom sitting outside. Applejack and Bigmac were hard at work elsewhere in the orchard. “Hey, Aidan!” Applebloom greeted. We had never talked much before, but the last time I was working here we talked a little bit.

“Hey, hows things around here?” I asked.

“Good, ah was just about to go meet Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo ta go adventurin’” She replied. Oh, right, the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I always loved how stubborn they were, everypony always told them what they needed to do but they wouldn’t listen at all, and still don’t it seems.

I’m not sure when in the series we have been taken, but Twilight isn’t a princess yet. Everything else from the series has been true so far so I think it will happen sometime soon, wont that be fun. Better not talk about it around the others though; I don’t want to seem crazy or something.

The other ponies were walking up as we made small talk with the Apples present. “Hey, Aidan!” Rainbow greeted. The athlete now had more respect for me because we tied in the race.

“Hey, whats up?” I said as they all sat down at the picnic table we were at.

“Oh, nothing, just got done sending in my wonderbolt academy application,” So that’s where we are in the timeline, good to know. If everything else follows the timeline from the show then I should be gaining a powerful ally soon.

“Awesome,” I said in a friendly tone.

All the ponies except Twilight were shooting uneasy looks at Dan.

“Everypony, this is Dan,” I said pointing to him. “He is my good friend.”

“Howdy, everypony.”

“He’s a good guy, don’t worry,” I said, easing the tensions at the table. We were starting to relax and talk among ourselves as Applejack walked up. “Oh, hey Applejack!”

“Howdy, y’all,” She said scanning the group. “Who’s this?”

“Hi, my name’s Dan,” He said with an open hand and warm smile.

“Hi, Dan,” Applejack said shaking his hand. The whole idea of shaking a hoof is a little odd, but then again we are in Equestria.

The ponies settled down after a while. “Hey, by the way, the whole manticore issue has been dealt with. Everything is fine again,” I said hoping to avoid the fact that Dan killed it.

Fluttershy asked, “What killed it?” In her timid voice.

I shot a look to Twilight to make sure she was paying attention, “A small dragon, nothing to worry about. I got him to move off easily.”

“Yeah, you know how those dragons can be, right Fluttershy?” Twilight asked to back me up.

“Oh, I guess…” She said with that quiet tone.

The ponies in general loved Dan, except Rainbow. She didn’t really like how Dan was more competition for her role of best athlete, I was pushing it enough. I managed to get Rarity to make another set of clothes for me to wear. After a bit of chatting and hanging out the ponies had to go their separate ways leaving us three, Spike, and Twilight. Applejack had to get back to work so we decided to head back to the library.

“Hey, Twi, what does Zecora know about Prophet?” I asked as Dan Colin and Spike walked ahead taking.

“I don’t really know, why?”

“Well, when I went to ask about the manticore she actually called me Prophet and bowed,” I said a little bit worried.

“That’s strange,” Twilight replied.

“Yeah, I wonder how much she knows. Maybe she can help us, want to come see?” I asked.

“I’d love to, but I have some reading to do, sorry,” She replied.

“It’s fine,” I said to her. I walked up behind the others, “Hey wana go see Zecora real quick?”

“Sure,” Dan said, having nothing else to do.

“I’ll just hang with Spike and Twilight if you don’t mind,” Colin said. He and Twilight were sure to get along, they were both smart people and loved to talk about those kind of things.

Dan and I separated from our small group and walked toward the Everfree. I have to find out what she knows.
