Dan:

Discord and I moved slowly through the town. Even the spirit of chaos couldn’t believe the things we saw. Children and adults all the same were murdered where they stood and none of them could stop Aidan. Homes were on fire, buildings that couldn’t be burned were broken to pieces. The town was nearly leveled, all that still stood were the buildings that Aidan couldn’t destroy on his own, and support beams from the smaller houses.

Prophet really fucked him up. Aidan was always strongly against killing, even if the person really deserved it. A few times he said that bloodthirsty dictators like Hitler and Mussolini should have not been killed. Quite the strange one, that Aidan.

Aidan has thoroughly fucked this town up, and from the look of things, the whole nation. I don’t think the gryphon nation will be strong enough to wage war against Equestria. The few that were left either killed by predators, burned, starved, or the lucky few got picked up in an evacuation crew. Aidan was relentless in whatever quest prophet planted in his mind and wanted to see it through.

We stopped a few times to help people who needed it; Discord was able to heal the few who were left to die. I asked them all what had happened and they all reported the same thing, a human had came and absolutely went nuts. They also said that he was yelling angrily at himself –presumably prophet- , and constantly wore a crazed expression the whole time.

Colin:

I paced the length of the castle over and over, impatiently awaiting Dan’s return. I didn’t see the long corridors, just the task at hand. Movement helps with my A.D.D., it keeps my mind focused. I thought of all the things that could happen, and of course, as is my unfortunate nature, all at the same time. I knew there must be a chance of saving Aidan, but the anxiety of all the bad outcomes made thinking completely straight impossible. My head was racing with an irrational jumble of emotion. Knowing that Prophet had Aidan was bad enough, but knowing that Aidan might never be the same again (if we did manage to save him) was horrifying, in a deep, heartbreaking kind of way. I could lose my last close friend.

I chose to walk the halls because, in the rare moment when I was focused on the present, the windows would let me see the road that Dan and Discord would return on.

Knock knock, its Vis. Vis said while working his way into my head.

What? I asked in a flat tone; even one’s mind has tones.

Waiting like this isn’t conducive to your abilities improving, you should go practice.

I can’t, I need to stay here… I said starring out the windows as I passed them.

Listen, Aidan wouldn’t want you to do this.

And what the fuck do you know about Aidan? I asked pissed at Vis’ oh so perfect attitude. What does the oh so powerful Vis know about my friend that I don’t?

You would be surprised what I know about Aidan. I know about the people he loves, the people he would die for. The REAL reason he keeps fighting everything the way he does. Why he makes his useless promises all the time. Why he would put up with this world and not end it all, and don’t thing he is above that! Vis was practically yelling at this point. He didn’t care what he did to me.

And what the fuck might that be? I asked, seeking answers.

What makes you think I would tell you? If he wanted you to know he would have told you himself. Vis said. The Morgan Freeman accent had completely vanished when he said that. He was showing his true voice, and it sounded familiar, but with the age masking his voice just like Mendax’s did it was impossible to tell.

Dan:

“Dan, I think you need to grasp the reality of the situation,” Discord said while grabbing me by the shoulders. “We can’t keep going forever, you are tough, but you aren’t invincible.”

I gave Discord a flat stare, I liked the draconequus, but right now he was pissing me off. “How can I stand by while Aidan destroys an entire kingdom?” I yelled.

“Oh please, I’m not that stupid. Celestia may be fooled for your visage but I won’t be. You don’t really care about this world…” Discord said in reply with a glare.

“That’s complete bullshit,” I said now completely pissed off.

“All you want is to see Aidan back home, safe and sound. You know that no matter how silly it seems there is danger all over this world and you can’t handle Aidan dying again,” Discord revealed that he knew a lot more about our misadventures than I let him know.

“And who the fuck told you that?” I said.

“My Little Pony doesn’t tell you everything about me. How I can peer into the minds of all the ponies. If I didn’t want to work for good, there would be no way I would,” Discord said.

“Then why should I trust you know?” Dan asked drawing a sword.

He glared back, “Put It away, Dan. You don’t want to see what I can do. Even Celestia herself doesn’t know what I am capable of.”

“Then if you could have won the empire so easily why didn’t you?” I asked.

“Hello! Spirit of Chaos anybody! I don’t want to see harmony, if I were to control everything there would be no war, no famine, and no hate. As it stands now, everypony hates me. When everypony constantly hates you, it digs deep into your core. You can’t hold it in forever, and the last thing I want to do is to kill them all off and spend an eternity alone. So I changed sides. I can still cause chaos, but in my own peaceful way,” Discord said looking deep into my eyes. I responded with a stark glare.

“Then why would you worry so much about Aidan killing the gryphons?” I asked.

“Because I owe a debt to someone…” Discord said looking off to the burning citadel of gryphondor.

I can see when someone is in pain, and when Discord looked off to the citadel, I knew that he wanted just as much as me to see Prophet gone. “Ok, we will make camp now. We’ll head out early in the morning.” I said.

Colin:

Just please, don’t let Aidan’s absence bother you this much. The best thing that you can do for Aidan is to practice your magic. You have to remember that there is a way to fix this all; you just need to follow the clues.

Fine, but you owe me some answers when we’re all done. I figured that standing in these hallways was useless at that point. I would know soon enough when Dan and Discord got back. With the fate of the empire supposedly resting on me, Dan and Discord, I can’t be over prepared. It’s time to hit the books again, maybe pull another all-nighter with Twilight. Though I probably won’t get far…

Dan:

The sun rose up slowly as it always does. It was different though, faded. Maybe Celesita’s mood affected the sun’s brightness. Ignoring the odd sun I looked to Discord who was sitting up from the cloud hammock he summoned between two trees. “Aw, why didn’t I get one?” I asked pouting like a child.

“I don’t like you,” Discord said with a smirk.

“Let’s get going,” I said standing up from the bed of leaves I had made.

“Wait,” Discord said while looking around sniffing the air. I presumed he was doing his chaos check. “Shit…”

*FALLING TREES*

“Fuck, RUN!” I yelled to Discord as I ran from the trees falling in a domino pattern. Something was whizzing around in the air knocking them over. Five bucks says it’s Aidan.

I heard a terrifying cackle erupt from behind us as we ran. “You can’t run forever, Dan!”

Yep, Aidan. Someone owes me five bucks. “Come on man! We can talk this out!” I said, hoping to calm him down.

“NO!” Aidan yelled back. You know in those scary movies how someone talks and they have that demon voice mimicking their normal voice? Yeah, that was Aidan, and he was fucked up from what I saw in the one second glimpse over my shoulder. Aidan flew down and landed with a loud thud. Red lightning spewed from his hands and spread throughout the forest creating a cage for the three of us. “Shall we?” Aidan said with a wicked grin.

“You don’t want to do this Aidan!” I yelled back.

“It’s no use, Dan,” Discord said taking a few steps back from Aidan.

Aidan responded by letting out a maniacal laugh followed by a charge for Discord. The spirit, as powerful as he is, was no match for the Aidan-Prophet mix. The two power sourced merged and made anything he came in contact with vibrate from the immense level of energy surging though it. Aidan himself seemed to have an aura about him that made him appear to vibrate and fade in and out of existence. He was fully there though.

“Fuck!” Discord said as he fell back from the falcon punch to the face. He lay unconscious on the ground of the forest as Aidan turned to look at me.

“Stop this Aidan! Nobody else needs to die!” I yelled. The cage of electricity started to hum and shake a little bit. The look on Aidan’s face worsened as the lightning began to act more unstable. Maybe his powers and emotions are connected like Colin’s are.

“I’m bringing a new age of peace to Equestria!” Aidan yelled back.

Aidan:

After I yelled the lie to Dan I couldn’t help but feel bad for fucking with his head. He would have been useful in my new world, what a pity. Discord remained knocked out from the energy, it blocked his brain from sending signals to his muscles. He may be an asset in the future, so I didn’t kill him, yet. Dan stood starring into my eyes with a pained look on his face.

“They don’t need to die, Aidan! We can work this all out! Just come back to Celestia!” Dan screamed back to me as my cage pulsed with electricity.

Do not trust his lies, Aidan!

“We don’t need this world, Dan! We can take it over. Join me,” I said holding out my hand.

“Don’t do this Aidan, please don’t do this,” Dan said.

“Dan, join me and we can rule over this entire world!” I yelled over the buzzing of the lightning.

Dan looked away and let a tear fall down his face –his friend was gone- and drew his sword. “You know I can’t do that, Aidan. I can’t let you ruin this world, I can’t let Celestia down,” Dan yelled back.

That name now pissed me off, I don’t know why though.

Aidan, we have to end this…

I pulled the revolver which had changed colors from its bright blue glow to a dark red glow. I pointed it right at Dan’s head. “You can still join me. Don’t do anything foolish.”

Dan let out a tear, “Don’t do that, Aidan! You don’t want to shoot me!”

Wait, what the fuck? Why am I pointing my gun at Dan? Something inside me resisted my attempts at putting the gun down.

Dan:

I could see a light flash in Aidan’s eyes. He was in there somewhere; Prophet was just fucking with him. His arm was shaking, as if someone was pulling it away. Thank God, he is still in there! Now is my chance though.

Aidan:

Please, Dan. Do something! Don’t let me shoot you!

Dan charged for me and kicked the gun out of my hand. I never knew the fat fuck could run so fast. He was no match for me though, and now there is nothing standing between me and him…

I let an evil grin spread across my face.

Colin was in the library after Twilight had left for the night. With nothing else to do, fatigued from his practice, he decided to read Prophet’s journal.

Journal Entry 001:

Today Mendax called me “Prophet”. Jokingly so of course, as a sort of revenge for me giving him his name. Unfortunately I think it’s starting to stick. People keep calling me that. I suppose he got the name from the fact that I know what will happen before it happens in this world, to a certain extent.

Celestia suggested that I should keep a journal to record the happenings as I develop my powers. Their unpredictability can be unnerving to the guards, and they seem to be tied directly to my emotions. Mendax has noticed the same thing with his powers. It also seems that I am more powerful than he. Though he does seem to have different abilities than mine, mine are far more potent.

*There was a completely illegible mess on the page*

He just zapped my ass for that one, that over-the-shoulder reading bastard!

Mendax and I are to continue our studies separated from each other as to not interfere with the other’s work. But for now we are having lunch out on the castle grounds.

Celestia talked to me yesterday. She told me of a strange artifact that may be able to assist in taming my powers. For now we will work as we have until and opportunity presents itself that we can leave and find this relic. Only time will tell.
