Dan:

OhfuckohfuckohfuckohfuckOHFUCK!

“Hey Aidan! Long time no see right?” I asked with a wry smile.

“You could say that,” He replied with a smirk.

“So… Whats up with you?” I asked as if he wasn’t here to royally fuck us over.

“Can you take a guess?” He asked.

“Come here for a girly pillow fight?” I asked with a half-smile.

“Sorry, wrong answer…” Aidan said as he stepped closer to our group.

I took a look back to Colin. He was lying face down completely unconscious. Fuck, the odds were shit before, now I have to deal with Aidan without Colin’s freaky light show.

“We can’t just talk about it? Come on, like old buddies?” I asked slowly inching back.

Aidan let out a maniacal laugh as he walked toward me. “It’s over, Dan. Join me while you still can.”

“Can’t do that Aidan,” I said as the others stood by my side. Celestia had accepted her fate, Luna wasn’t present, and the mane six stood right by my side. “I can’t let you hurt anypony,” I said as I walked over.

“Oh, I won’t hurt anypony… Yet,” Aidan said as he waved his hand.

Colin and the mane six plus Spike were pushed to the wall behind me so that Aidan and I were the only two in the center. Aidan looked at me coldly as that electric cage sprung up from the floor like vines. It blocked us two in, and the others out. Looks like I am on my own, shit.

“Aidan, don’t do this!” I said. Sure he was being controlled, but I know HE is in there.

“THAT’S JUST IT, DAN! I – HAVE – TO DO THIS!” Aidan yelled back. “You think I wanted to kill all those gryphons? All the ponies? You think I wanted to fight you? NO! All I want is to go home!” Aidan yelled again.

“This isn’t you, Aidan!” I said.

“You’re right, Dan. But that isn’t to stop me from going home!” Aidan said.

The cage started to hum like it did in the forest. The red color of the cage shifted to black. Aidan must be really pissed off now.

Discord:

Fuck Prophet, this needs to end. Now. All he ever wanted me to do is kill power hungry assholes all over the galaxy and now this? No… Fuck him. Terrible father anyway…

“Dan! Don’t let him fuck with you!” I yelled from outside the cage.

I ran up to the cage and tried to force my way through by absorbing the power.

Prophet noticed and looked at me, “You too?” He asks.

“FUCK YOU!” I shouted back.

Prophet lifted his hand and made a choking motion. The pain came quickly and was overwhelming. Everything I have ever done to anybody else, reflected back onto me. Prophet really had no heart.

I lay there unable to move and could only see Dan’s back as they talked. Finally, the pain faded and I propped myself up on the throne’s steps so I could look at Prophet.

Prophet had turned his attention back to Dan and walked to him, slowly.

“Join me, while you are still alive.”

“Fuck. You,” Dan replied as he kicked Pro - Aidan- back a few feet.

Aidan grunted and flashed an angry glare at Dan. “I’ll ignore that if you surrender now, before anything bad happens.”

“I’m not going to let you win,” Dan said. “I won’t let you kill these ponies!”

“And what’s stopping you?” Aidan shouted as he charged and threw a punch at Dan, only for it to be blocked. “Wealth? Power? I have both… Join me, this is your last chance.”

“No.” Dan said as he bolted forward and threw punches at Aidan.

“Bad move…” Aidan said as he grabbed Dan’s arm and threw him into the air. Dan flew high, but before hitting the top of the cage Aidan jumped up and kicked Dan back to the floor.

Dan:

I smashed onto the marble with a resounding crack. Whether it was the stone floor or bones, I have no idea. I looked to Aidan as he landed gracefully back on the floor. I tried to stand up, -CRACK- yep definitely some bones there… The broken bones didn’t hinder me as I got up from the floor and stared into Aidan’s eyes.

“You don’t want to do this,” I said.

“You don’t know how much I want this…” Aidan replied before shooting forward and kicking me into the side of the cage. He ran up to me as I was being shocked and threw me back to the floor.

As the regeneration took effect I stood back up from the floor. I ran at Aidan and landed a few successful punches. I gave him my best right hook but all he did was stare back at me. Nothing fazed him, nothing did anything to him. I stepped back for a moment before kicking him in the gut, failed attempt though. Aidan grabbed my foot and swung me around.

The electrical cage disappeared as a new one formed around my friends at the head of the room, leaving Aidan and I in the open. Aidan let me go so I flew and crashed into one of the gigantic stone pillars, sending the solid stone support crashing down. Aidan was on me again before I hit the ground and threw me to it instead.

Fighting the urge to give up I started to stand. “Aidan, don’t do this… You promised, remember?” The one thing Aidan never broke was a promise. If there was any shred of him left inside of the mess he was there was still hope.

He stepped up to me and kicked my leg out from under me, forcing me to a knee. “So I did,” He said as he pulled that revolver out of his jacket and pointed it at my head. “What makes you think I care?”

“Aidan, Prophet may not care… but YOU do!” I said. It’s quite the gamble, could get my head blown off.

Aidan stood and only got angrier as I kneeled before him. His finger started pulling the trigger, slowly.

“I’m sorry, Aidan. I’m sorry I failed in protecting you.”

Celestia:

I could only just barely watch as Aidan held the gun to Dan’s head. I had seen such things before when Prophet had come along. Dan closed his eyes one last time. Aidan just stood with the gun pointed at Dan. “No.”

Dan looked up to Aidan whose eyes were shut tight. “You. Didn’t. Fail.” Aidan choked out.

Dan’s eyes widened in surprise and joy. “I knew you were in there!” He shouted.

The cage flickered and changed colors, now it was blue and glowing brighter than my sun. Seeing Aidan through it all was difficult.

Dan stood up and reached for Aidan, “We can help you!” He said.

Aidan locked up again as the cage flashed red. Twilight shot spell after spell at it, but to no avail. She was just tiring herself out at this point.

“Get away from me!” Aidan shouted as he back handed Dan. Dan flew a few feet back and hit the wall. Aidan resumed pointing the gun at Dan, “You will never win!” He shouted.

“Aidan, NO! DON’T LET HIM CONTROL YOU!” Dan howled. He was beaten badly, his power was fading, and his regeneration was now deathly slow.

“FUCK YOU!” Aidan bellowed as the gun went off.

Dan’s face was frozen in shock.

Dan:

I looked down and saw red flowing down my shirt. This was my little buddy, and he shot me… No, he didn’t shoot me, that fucker Prophet did. It’s time to end this.

“You stupid fuck!” Aidan yelled at me in rage. “Why couldn’t you join me? You would have lived if you did!”

I screamed and sprung up from the floor, swatted the gun out of Aidan’s hand and let loose a barrage of fists and kicks. “You asshole! You fucking asshole!” I yelled as loud as I could. “All we’ve been through, all the shit I helped you through, all the times I was there for you don’t mean anything?” Aidan was knocked back step by step, punch by punch. “You fucking asshole! You are my brother man! Tell me that means something to you!”

Aidan looked me right in the eye and laughed, “Of course it does.”

“Then why are you doing this?” I yelled.

“I have to do this, Dan. You wouldn’t understand,” Aidan said as he was pushed back.

“Then what did that mean? Where did all the times we spent together go? Why do you have to do this?” I yelled.

“I remember every moment we shared, and no, it wasn’t meaningless. I learned a lot from you, but it’s time now for me to teach you something…” Aidan said as he walked closer and unleashed hell upon me. His fists started glowing with the same electricity that made up the cage. He punched me in the face over and over. Nothing was getting through to him. Nothing I could say, noting I could do.

“Aidan,” I said as I fell back to the floor. “This isn’t you. I know you are in there. Come on out! You can do this. Help me,” I pleaded.

Aidan stood as his expression dropped. “That won’t wor- hrk,” He couldn’t finish that sentence as the real Aidan started resisting and pushed his way out.

“Dan!” He shouted as he backed off, holding his head in pain. “You have to end this.”

Aidan used his magic to levitate the revolver over to me. “FUCKING DO IT!” He yelled.

Aidan:

Dan grabbed the magically infused revolver and pointed it at me.

This is it. (My ‘good side’)

The end. (My ‘bad side’)

Good run, wasn’t it?

Could be better.

You fucking morons, it isn’t over. Just give me some time. Everything will be okay. (Still Prophet)

Fuck you, dude.

So far, all we’ve gotten from you is a swift kick in the balls.

Seriously, dude, fuck off.

Are you really going to try this again? It won’t work. I already control you.

We will just have to see about that, wont we Aidan?

You know it, Aidan!

God! Now I have twice the stupidity, just shut up and let me do my thing.

Meh, I don’t really like you that much.

As I said before, fuck off.

Aren’t you supposed to be the good side?

Nobody’s perfect, but hell, can you blame me? This guy is a total ass hat.

Agreed.

So, that means we can get this fuck stick out of our head?

Worth a shot…

We both tried as hard as we could to regain control of our body. This whole split personality thing will take some getting used to, but it could be interesting. Two minds are better than one. It makes solving problems easier because we can pay attention to both sides of the coin at the same time.

This won’t work! Give up now!

We kept fighting despite Prophet’s warnings. We looked up at Dan one last time before giving it all we had. “Do it, Dan. We can’t keep this up much longer. Do it now!” We said to my friend. Strange how our voice changed as we both spoke, doesn’t matter though. We stood there holding back Prophet as best as we could. He still got through though, enough to make a difference where it hurts the most.

Dan:

I pointed the gun at Aidan’s head. The poor boy should have lived a long live. He didn’t deserve this. “I’m sorry, Aidan,” I said as I squeezed the trigger.

The revolver exploded with a burst of magic and knocked Aidan down. The cage faded and his eyes stopped glowing red. Turns out that the revolver didn’t shoot bullets at all, just really fucking powerful magic. His body was covered with scars and his veins were black. Whatever prophet had done to him, I really hope it didn’t hurt. Aidan looked like he hadn’t eaten in weeks, poor boy. Prophet was a dick, and I’m glad I put a bullet in his head.

I walked over and knelt down next to Aidan, “I’m sorry, Aidan,” I said as I held his cold hand. I looked down at him only to see a small smile on his face. It was over now, he was gone. I let go of his hand as Celestia walked over.

“It’s okay, Dan,” She said.

I looked up at her, “How the fuck is it okay?” I asked coldly. “How the fuck is any of this okay? AIDAN IS FUCKING DEAD!” I shouted.

“I KNOW!” Celestia screamed back, showing tears. “I know…” She said as she looked down at Aidan and walked closer.

Celestia sat next to me, “He wanted this, Dan.”

“We never asked for this, to come here. While we thought about it, we never asked to come here. Aidan wanted to live, get a job, have a family… Not this. Aidan did what was necessary and nothing less.”

Colin:

I lay unconscious on the floor as the fight came to an end.

Colin.

Meh?

I’m going to fix your brain, but you’ve got to start trying to remember stuff. I need to be able to see it function to fix all the connections.

Remember what?

I don’t know, anything! Anything about your life!

Life?

Yeah. Your life. Remember? Colin Turner. Denver, Colorado.

It’s starting to come back to me now. Tell me more!

Swimming, skiing, music, fire, family, potato cannons, fishing, xbox, TF2, Minecraft.

I’m starting to get glimpses of things, just a little bit more!

Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and … wait. This should work. A coward dies a thousand deaths…

“A brave man but one.” I said as memories flashed back at me. I saw all the tears, sorrow, joy laughter, fear, courage, love, death and life of my earthly years. Cats, dogs, scrapes, bruises, scars, documentaries, family vacations, movies, books, funerals, baptisms, fireworks, video games and- the first Skype call, late on December 12th, 2011. It was the first of many.

How do you know that one?

I can see your memories remember?

Oh, yeah.

Vis woke me up and said nothing more as he left.

I sat up slowly. I needed to sneak to a better position, if I was to do any good. God, Aidan gave a hell of a kick! I didn’t remember flying that far. My thoughts were interrupted with a gasp near the center of the room.

Dan:

“WHAT THE FUCK?” I yelled as I reeled back. I looked at Celestia, frozen in shock as Aidan grabbed her horn.

“Right you are!” Aidan half yelled as he got up.

“You ok, dude?” I asked.

“Oh contraire my dear friend, we feel wonderful!” Aidan said with a crooked smile.

We?

“Sure about that?”

His grin became toothy and his eyes were wide, “Not at all!”

Celestia watched as Aidan stepped back. “Is everything ok?” She asked.

“NO!” Aidan said laughing. At this point he reminded me of the Joker. “It’s all over! Prophet showed us what was wrong, and fixed it!” Aidan said with a twitch in his eye.

I looked at Celestia, “That doesn’t sound good…” she said.

“You better get back,” I said as I took a step toward Aidan. “Everything ok, dude?” I said firmly. I know that he isn’t ok, but if I can get him to cooperate, this might be easier.

“Oh, yes!” Aidan said narrowing his eyes and widening his grin.

Purple and blue wisps of light arched all over his body and covered him in a suit, the fucking Joker’s suit. His eye twitched some more as one eye turned purple and the other blue. “We can see everything now!” Aidan said cackling madly. He brushed dust off of his suit and on the back of his hands were blue and purple eyes. Blue was on the left hand, and purple on the right.

“Really, the Joker? And what’s with the eyes?” I asked pointing to one.

Aidan lost his smile and walked over to me. “Dan, my dear friend, thank you for the idea! We do like this suit quite a lot. As for the eyes, well. Prophet showed us a little more than you think,” He said as he put an arm on my shoulders.

“I’m seriously worried now,” I said as Aidan removed his arm.

He stepped back and smiled again, narrowing his eyes. “You should be,” He said with a double-voice. The eyes on his hands started to glow and he began laughing again.

Oh fuck. This doesn’t look good.

Not at all.

This still Prophet?

Not as much. “Aidan” finally took control, but prophet is still affecting his thoughts.

We have to get him out.

Already on it, just distract Aidan.

“Calm down dude!” I said as the energy pulsed from his new eyes.

“We are calm!” Aidan retorted. “We can see everything now! It’s beautiful!”

“Stop this right now, Aidan!” Celestia said now standing next to me.

“What are you doing? Get back!” I said.

“No, I will not idle by while my subjects get hurt,” She replied with a determined look on her face.

“Fine, don’t get in the way,” I said coldly looking back to Aidan.

“Oh, what fun this will be!” Aidan said.

“Time to end this,” I said as I took a step forward.

=Music= Use it if ya want.

Aidan shot some blue and purple waves of wispy light at me. The shit burned, but quickly healed. Not a problem. He must be saving the rest for later.

He jumped back when I lunged forward to hit him. Celestia shot a few bolts of magic at him but he jumped over them, “You will have to try harder than that, dear Princess.”

The Elements of harmony and Discord started to walk forward but Celestia put up a force field in their way. “Princess, what are you doing?” Twilight yelled.

“Shush now, dear Twilight, this is grownup time!” Aidan said as he jumped forward.

I sidestepped the flying kick and punched Aidan in the jaw as he landed. That threw him off balance so that Celestia could nail him. Aidan was hit by the bolts of light and knocked to a knee.

“Oh, darn. I just got this suit!” Aidan said as the magic burned through it. His regeneration now extended to his magic-made suit and repaired it too. “There we are, good as new!”

I charged Aidan and started throwing punches. Aidan was too quick though, bastard was faster than a cheetah in a mustang. He dodged every attack and slipped in his own punches in whenever he could. I couldn’t hit the fucker.

Celestia tried as hard as she could to hold Aidan in place but his magic was countering hers. Aidan dodged every bolt of her magic with ease, letting a few hit me in the process. They hurt more than Aidan’s did, he must be saving his energy. She will wear herself out at this point.

Aidan swept my legs out from under me and kicked me so that I slid to the wall.

Aidan:

Watching Dan slide was rather funny. Oh, how we enjoy how truly easy this is!

*SMACK* Who the fuck hit us in the back of the head?

We spun around swinging a fist. Then we saw who it was. Celestia. Our swing stopped as we looked at her. “C- Celestia?” we asked.

“Don’t do this Aidan…” She said.

We looked at the pulsing blue eye on the back of our hand, “But… We have to…”

“No… you don’t.”

“Prophet…”

“You promised, Aidan,” she said with a sad face.

“We… I promised,” we said as we looked into her eyes. They screamed of disappointment and sadness. “We’re… I’m sorry.”

Before she could respond we were hit in the head with a brick. “Where the fuck did you even get that?” We asked, turning to Dan. The moment we had before was gone.

“Do you really care?” He asked.

“No, shall we?” we asked. Waving him closer.

“Fuck you man!” Dan said as he charged and threw more futile punches and kicks.

“Really, you mustn’t wear yourself out like this, Dan,” we said as we dodged every attack he had.

“I’m only getting started!” Dan shouted.

“Oh, really? Then let’s have it!” we taunted while laughing.

Dan tried his damnedest to hit be, but to no avail. 'A' for effort though.

“Come on, Dan! Hit us!” we said dodging still. “You are better than this!” we shouted.

Fuck this shit, we're done playing around. We kicked Dan in the jaw and bolted up to him unleashing a fury of punches. “You stupid fuck!” we yelled as we hit him.

With every punch we heard something break, teeth, ribs, arm, jaw, nothing made a difference. It all breaks the same. A roundhouse to the face finished him off, sending him flying back.

We heard the muffled sobs and he kneeled before me. “It’s over, Dan.” we said as we walked closer.

Celestia sent a blast of energy that hit us in the back of the head.

We slowly turned around with a cold, flat glare. “You too?” we asked.

“You... aren’t the Aidan I used to know anymore… the Aidan I used to- *SNAP*”

We turned behind us to look for the source of the loud crack. Only Dan was there. We looked at him closer, he was shaking now. Rather uncontrollably. His head was hung as he stared at the floor.

Dan slowly looked up at us with red eyes and an angry glare.

“Oh, how cute,” we mocked.

“It’s. Over,” Dan growled, barely able to make the words as he lunged for us.
