Fang must fight to move the Hive forward. The queen is cruel and refuses to let the hive progress instead, she focuses on tightening her control. Then one of Fang's sisters, Hiss, suggests raising up a new queen. If they can keep the hatchling alive till she can challenge the old queen they might just manage to change things for the better but if they get caught or if the young princess turns on them everyone involved's lives will be forfeit.
