News Flash : The G&P Trixie to marry

Dateline Equestria, Crystal Empire, April 1st 1004 YR

Today in Canterlot, Princess Twilight Sparkle announced the upcoming marriage of her bother Prince Shining Armor and the Great & Powerful Trixie to be performed in the Crystal Empire.  Princess Celestia has deferred the official service to P.T. Sparkle.

Sources close to the Princess say that following the death of Princess Cadence, both Prince Shining Armor and Princess Twilight Sparkle were especially hard hit.  Unconfirmed sources suggest that P. Cadence once acted as a foal sitter for Twilight Sparkle.

Attempts by Twilight’s special friends to uplift her spirits were less than successful.  Only when challenged by her longtime rival, Trixie, to ‘buck up or step out of the way’ did the old spark spurn P.T. Sparkle to regain focus and again emerge from her self-imposed exile inside her locked library.

With renewed energy P.T. Sparkle and friends (old & new) returned to the Crystal Empire.  There much to all's surprise did Trixie took charge of the raising of the baby foal.  “Trixie’s love for the foal seems magical, and the foal’s response to the attention is amazing.” says a source close to the Princess.

Another source says “I reckon they was made for each other.”

Prince S. Armor remained stoic stating in an official release “Princess Cadence gave her life for our foal, my first consideration is to continue the effort that my darling and most beloved mare would want me too.”  Needless to say, the Prince has been true to his word, focusing his attention on serving as regent of the Crystal Empire and seeing to the needs of his newborn foal.

It is pure conjecture on my part when the mutual attention and care for the newborn foal became something more.  But I believe the spark of romance happen at the Gala, when P.T. Sparkle chose to foal sit and sent Trixie in her place to act as escort for Prince S. Armor.  Trixie seemed to glory in the attention, handling the press with diplomacy and grace.  Perhaps it was her ability to charm the crowd with delicacy and poise that won them over.

There are many distractors to this union, including some members of the Wonderbolts, who claim (off the record) that Trixie has cast some type of enchantment upon the Prince.  Still her affection for the baby foal cannot be doubted.  When asked for the origin of the name ‘Nyx’, Trixie responded that the suggestion can from P.T. Sparkle.

In other news, Prince Blue Blood has asked a Miss Rarity a question.
