The Truth Lies Behind The Lies-Chapter 1- %The Box%
THIRD PERSON POV
It was finally date night for Anthony and Raven, and they had just left their warm home in Canada to the nearly dark, and cold night. A slight chill went down Raven's spine, seeing as how she was crazy enough to wear such a short dress out in the snow. Anthony laughed at his wife, "Raven, are you really this crazy? I told you to wear the long dress, and where did you leave your sweater?" He asked her shaking his head in a disproving way. "I um...left it in the car I think." She replied giving him a coy smile as she watched him shrug off his jacket and hand it to her. "Here take mine then." He said putting in over her shoulder, moving her blackish brown hair out from under it. Raven rolled her eyes and huffed cleaning her glasses with the trim of her dress. "Look, you know we're in Canada right? Colder than Texas, especially in the El Paso area where we grew up. You have to wear your jacket more often or you might get sick." He said to Raven hugging her gently. "Maybe we should cut the date short. You're too cold, and I don't want you to get sick. So please let's just-" He was cut off as Raven pulled away and rushed to the car which was now only a few feet away. "Raven!?" Anthony exclaimed rushing after her. "Raven what's got you so rill-" Anthony paused as he looked over his wife's shoulder who was looking over at a...box...on their car...covered in snow. "R-Raven...? What's that...?" He asked her looking nervous. Raven ran over to the car and grabbed the box trying to lift it. "Ugh! It's heavy!" She groaned and she lifted in and put it on the ground, clearing the snow off of it and slowly peaking in. Anthony raised an eyebrow reading the black words scribbled on the side, "To a good home...?" He murmurer and walked over to Raven who was now white and looked shocked. "Raven what's wrong? What's in the box?" Anthony asked worried. She stayed quiet for a few moments. "Raven c'mon you have to tell me!" He said going over to her and kneeling down. She mumbled something incoherent and picked up the box starting to go towards the house. "R-Raven!? What's in the box? Tell me!" Anthony said getting a bit irritated and reaching for his wife. She pulled away from him and kept walking. "We have to get inside." She murmurer and kept her steady pace. "But why!? What's so important about this box!? Is it puppies?" He asked hurrying after her, and when she didn't answer he murmured "It's puppies, isn't it?" Raven huffed and finally got to the door of the house, "Anthony open the door please..." she said looking at him worried. "Uh...OK...? When we're inside show me though OK...?" Anthony sighed opening the door for her, and she hurried past him inside and put the box on the living room floor. Anthony came in closing and locking the door and went over kneeling near the box, "So what's inside...?" Raven gulped, kneeling near the box too, and opened the box slowly as Anthony looked inside and gasped fainting.
