Breakdown
Not all stories end in sunshine, smiles, and easy forgiveness. Sometimes, the scars left by traumas run deeper than anticipated. And sometimes, long-withheld pains, fears, and doubts can cause a pony to hit their breakdown.
A series of what-ifs; three events, three ponies, three breakdowns. Sometimes, it takes far more than a quick apology to mend a broken heart.
Each breakdown is progressively worse than the last, has longer-reaching consequences, and takes more effort to fix. The stories are meant as stand-alone, but if you wish to view them as all a part of the same continuity, that too is possible.
Rated M with Gore for Chapter 3.
Unlike my previous two fics, which were copy-pasted (with minor edits) from fanfiction-dot-net postings, this is a FIMFiction original, so update times will be slower as I type each chapter up individually and then post it.
