Derpy had been flying home over a forest after Princess Celestia had raised the sun after the Summer Sun Celebration. The crowded and sunny fair was still going on. While Derpy had been flying over the forest had she been seeing a thing. Whatever that was it was not a pony or an animal. It was a creature that ran on two legs through the forest that made Derpy fly all she could away from that forest. Filly Twililght was also about to go into that forest with a big purple and round balloon on a string from the fair attached to her hooves. The filly was about to go home over that forest, as she saw that thing too. Whatever that creature it made Twilight run through a local village instead without stop.  That next morning had Twilight found news about that creature in the forest.

"The Canterlot guards are hunting down a creature in forest outside Canterlot, and it had been scratched doors at houses by that forest." a guard had written in the newspaper.

"Animals had been missing after that creature was around, as many ponies ran out of the forest with that thing chasing after them." another guard wrote.

Another pony had written how she refused to go back to her cottage, while the creature with claws was up all night by that building in the forest.
