It was the month before the cider season at Sweet Apple Acres in October. Doctor Hooves had lived in an old farm at an orchard in Ponyville.  That farm had been build for nearly 200 years ago. Nothing really happend at that farm. Until the pony got awake every night by hearing noises. Doctor Hooves could not see what that was. That made Doctor Hooves think that it was just the animals from the orchard.

"Well, that could only be the animals in the orchard." Doctor Hooves told himself.

The weeks passed, as the pony awoke every night by hearing somepony keep on making noises in the farm. Then one night had Doctor Hooves been startled by seeing a ghostly pony in his dark bedroom. Doctor Hooves could not sleep after the thing vanished. The pony ran to Twilight's library early that morning to find out what that was. At last had the two ponies found out what that was.

"For many years ago a student born in Saddle Arabia from a school lived in Ponyville, as a school that now is closed had been build at the towns hall." Doctor Hooves read in an old newspaper.

"The student had died in an accident, and ponies ran from their orchards after the sight of the Saddle Arabian student that became a mananaggal." the pony read.

Doctor Hooves moved away in the afternoon. The pony found a new home where the pony that sold sofas and quills lived. After the cider season in those autumn days had a pony family tried to move into the farm where Doctor Hooves lived. But they moved too, as the mananaggal also haunted them every night too.
