Nightshade's ears perked up, the ash-grey alicorn colt started wondering what his adoptive mother (Princess Luna) was talking about, he walked over to her room. Upon entering he saw Luna taking on... this:

and TURNING IT INTO MINCEMEAT WITHOUT USING A BOMB, LOOSING A LIFE, OR EVEN BREAKING A SWEAT!!! (with no cheats enabled mind you)

"Mom, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?" Nightshade shouted, he was completely STUMPED; he had seen a TV before, but not a video game.

"OH, CAN YOU NOT SEE WHAT WE ARE DOING DEAR CHILD?" Luna replied in the Traditional Royal Canterlot Voice (it was commonly used in a formal occasion when speaking from a distance (like for example, a balcony) but Luna used it when excited, happy, or VERY mad) "WE ARE DEFEATING THIS VILE FIEND!"

One introduction to video games later Nightshade was playing Star Fox Assault against Luna.

"Come on comeoncomeoncomeoncomeon!" He grumbled as he tried to shake Luna off his tail,

at that same moment Luna pressed the B button, firing a nova bomb, destroying Nightshade's arwing, and ending the match.

"OH COME ON!!!" Nightshade shouted, he had almost won, but despite lowering the health of his mother's arwing to an inch before destruction, Luna still managed to win by doing a loop to get behind Nightshade, locking on to his (already badly damaged) ship and pressing B.

"But how come you didn't get blown up as well? You were clearly in the blast radius." Asked Nightshade.

"Because, somehow, nova bombs don't hurt the one who fired them" Answered Luna.

"Well that was a very close game. I had almost won! blasted surprise loop..."

In walked Celestia "I overheard your multiplayer match and, I think it would be a good idea to invite the rest of the squad over for a gaming party." She said.

"Great idea 'Tia!" replied Luna, her pet tarantula Atticus squeaking his approval as well.
