The Nation of the Ponyville Public Park
It was a nice day in Ponyville, as most days were in the fair town. The sun was out and the birds sang sweet merry tunes as the slow warm day went on. Ponies on this wonderful day did their best to enjoy it. Fillies and colts were out in the street playing fun games, while their parents sat aside and watched while discussing the cupcake issue the government was having.
You see, the Equestrian Cupcake Corporation needed more money to fund their new brand of cupcakes. These cupcakes would make all the other cupcakes explode out of the pure awesome that these cupcakes produced. Though, it was unknown as to what these cupcakes really were. For all the citizens of Equestria knew, they were a new brand of cardboard flavor. And no pony wanted that.
But, it didn't matter just thinking about it. If the company said that the flavor was good, then it had to be at least okay. However, because of this new flavor, taxes were imposed onto the poor citizens to help fund the company’s new cupcake flavor. The taxes were huge, each citizen who had consumed more than two cupcakes in one month must be taxed nearly three hundred bits. This of course was an outrage! Many ponies ate cupcakes on a daily, or weekly basis. But now, the sugary treats could no longer be consumed in the vast amounts they were once eaten at.
It was noon or so in the town, and Twilight Sparkle sat there on the floor of her library reading a book. Though, there was no title on the book’s cover or spine, because there really aren't any covers or titles on her books. This little odd feature of every book she own did not concern her, and plus, she was enjoying herself which is all that mattered.
Spike on this particularly nice day, had a radio on next to him while he snored loudly in his small basket bed. His legs hung off the edges of his bed, and his head tilted to the side as the young dragon slept.
An old jazzy melody was on the radio, and Twilight quietly hummed along to the music that played whilst reading. As the song came to an end, a Radio Announcer spoke.
The announcer's voice was strong, and smooth like that of a jazz playing musician, "Hello listeners of the Ponyville radio! That song y'all just heard was Smooth Night on Yonder, by Jazz Hooves. Now, some quick news on the Equestrian cupcake tax. It seems that the corporation just increased the tax for multiple cupcakes by fifty more bits. So if I was you I'd really think twice before buying another few cupcakes. Anyway, on a lighter note up next is one of my favorite slow moving pieces, and I think y'all out there will like this one. Enjoy!"
Just as he had finished speaking, the next song came on, and it too was a slow moving calm jazz tune. Though what happened next took Twilight completely by surprise. A loud boom was heard at the door; Twilight leap up from where she sat in shock. Feeling her heart race, she heard the sound of hooves pounding on the library's hard wooden door.
Recovering from the shock, Twilight pulled herself together and made sure nothing had fallen over. Luckily, nothing had fallen over and the loud noise didn't seem to bother the young dragon in the slightest. With all that out of the way, Twilight quickly made her way to the front door of her library to see who was pounding so fiercely at the door.
"Coming!" Twilight called to the door before opening it.
The first thing Twilight was greeted by was the sound of Rainbow Dash laughing hysterically while hovering inches off the ground. Cocking her head to the side while puzzled at the current state her friend was in, the curious unicorn mare asked, "Uh, Rainbow? What's going on? And why are you laughing like that?"
Rainbow Dash found it hard to speak, as she was laughing too hard. "I'm sorry- Twilight... I-It's just Pinkie... Bwahahaha!"
"Huh? What about Pinkie?"
"Just come on, you've got to see this!"
Twilight scratched her head and looked back at the sleeping dragon in the room behind her. "How long will this take? I was kind of reading a book at the moment."
”It won't take long, it's in the park, just come on!" Rainbow Dash insisted.
Sighing, Twilight decided to see what her friend wanted to show her, "Alright, just lead the way. Though, I'll have to be back home soon. I need to finish this book so I can start giving my books written titles on their covers."
The rainbow maned pegasus just rolled her eyes, and continued to chuckle to herself. "Whatever, just come on before Pinkie gets bored."
So Twilight followed Rainbow Dash to the park to see what Pinkie had done, or rather was doing. More than likely, Pinkie was up to something random. Because every good story needs something random to happen. And Twilight knew this all too well. For, she had read several random stories, and for some reason she felt this time there would be something random.

Several ponies were gathered around a large section of the park... Well, actually there was more like three ponies. The sun shined brightly overhead, as wonderful puffy clouds peacefully floated in the sky above. Some reporters with their fancy cameras snapped several flashy pictures, before walking off happy with the photos they had just taken.
Rainbow Dash flapped her wings lightly while next to her egghead friend as they went along their merry way. "It's over there Twilight!" Rainbow Dash pointed out.
As the two ponies approached the crowd, a familiar voice could be heard speaking to the crowd. The mare's voice in question sound like their friend Pinkie Pie. But, another voice could be heard as well. Only, this one was much less known to Twilight.
"Alright everypony, that's enough! Please move along or you'll have a real national crisis on your hooves!
"Yes!" The other voice boomed in agreeance with Pinkie, "if thou shalt not leave thy land, we shall expel thee by force!"
As both Rainbow Dash and Twilight approached where the voices were, the crowd dispersed with unhappy ponies murmuring disappointed things to themselves as they walked off. No sooner had the crowd dissolved, Pinkie saw her two friends coming, and instantly bounced towards them merrily.
"Twilight!" Pinkie exclaimed, "Rainbow got you, just like I had ordered!"
At first Twilight thought nothing of Pinkies welcome, as most of her welcomes from Pinkie were extremely enthusiastic. But this time, there was something odd about her. She was dressed completely in a smart pink military uniform, decorated in dozens of tiny medals.
Twilight raised an eyebrow at the pink earth pony, "Pinkie? What's going on here?"
Pinkie stopped her hopping for a moment to answer her friend, "Oh, well can't you see silly? I made my own nation!"
Rainbow Dash burst into a loud guffaw. "Your own... Nation?" Twilight hesitantly replied.
"Mhmm," Pinkie nodded, "with our good old friend Luna too!"
"Wha?" Twilight muttered cocking her head to the side in slight confusion.
Then, with a few gentle beats from her wings Luna, dressed in her own smart military uniform, landed down next to Pinkie. "Yes. We have seen what the evil Cupcake Corporation has done! As such, we have sided with Pinkie to create a better land without the tax on cupcakes!"
Twilight shook her head wildly, "Whoa, whoa! Wait a second. You're telling me you two made a nation... Where?"
Pinkie and Luna gave the egghead mare a look of confusion, "Why, in the Ponyville Park of course!"
"Yep," Rainbow Dash added, "And they've got the whole thing set up too!" She laughed.
"Would thou be interested in a tour of our proud nation?" Luna asked.
"Oh! Oh! Oh! That's a great idea, High Admiral General Supremest Leader Luna! Come on Twilight! This way!" Pinkie excitedly chirped in wondrous glee, before bouncing off with Luna at her side toward the Ponyville Park.
Twilight had not even been given a chance to reply, but then again seeing this in person might be worth a laugh. So, compelled by curiosity she followed them toward their so-called nation.

Rainbow Dash hovered behind the two nation owners as they showed them their proud nation. Twilight followed behind Luna, with no idea what might be in store for her. And as they came to the main section of the park, there at the park's center was a large pillow fort. But not the average one you'd expect to see. No. This one was huge! Like, the size of a real big tower. It's actually pretty hard to say how cool it looks. Though to be short, it's just a really huge pillow fort tower.
Atop this massive pillow-tower was a flag. This flag had upon it an ice cream cone with laser eyes holding large swords with a fancy bow tie on it's small cone body. Approaching the tower, Twilight gazed up at it in awe as the shadow of the massive pillow structure encased the group.
"Pinkie... How did you make this?" Twilight muttered in awe.
Pinkie shrugged, "The internet. You'd be amazed at all the cool stuff you can order online."
But before Twilight had once again, a chance to speak, Luna shushed the two ponies following them and gazed at the large wooden doors before them. "While our nation is but in Micro-form, our Micro-Nation is proud! Behold!"
Luna put both of her hooves upon the mighty wooden doors, and pushed hard against them. As the doors opened, an angel choir could be heard in the background. "Where is that music coming from?" Twilight asked scanning the area around them.
As the the doors continued to open Pinkie, while ignoring Twilight's last comment, exclaimed, "Welcome to the nation of Partimoonossia!"
With the doors fully opened, a bright light beamed out of the room before them. But as the doors remain opened, the light disappeared, revealing the true contents of the room. Cupcake boxes lined the walls, with a nice peaceful cake resting on an oak table in the very center of the room.
"Pinkie, where did you get all these cupcakes?" Twilight asked.
Luna turned her head to the purple mare, "We have commandeered them in the name of our proud nation!" Luna boomed boldly.
"Yes siree! We must have all the cupcakes!" Pinkie exclaimed maniacally.
Both Rainbow Dash, and Twilight stood silent upon hearing the pink pony's response. Though, no sooner had she said her evil reply that she went back to becoming the overly happy, bouncy mare she was before. "Well? What are we doing just standing here? We've got a tour to go on! C'mon, this way!" She said bouncing off to a staircase at the end of the room.
Twilight sighed, and continued to follow both Luna and Pinkie through the rest of their cushion nation. Up the stairs they went, all the while Pinkie quickly described what each cushion in the wall represented. She explained it so quickly, that it became hard to understand what she was saying at all. But as they came up to second floor of the tower, they were greeted by a rather large, odd looking machine in the center of the room.
Twilight scratched her mane peering at the large green glowing machine, "Pinkie, what is that thing?"
Both Pinkie and Luna looked at the mare oddly, "Twilight, I thought with your big brain and stuff you'd be able to tell what it is." Pinkie replied.
"Oh, well then what is it?"
"Why, it's an uranium based power core silly!" Pinkie giggled.
Twilight suddenly felt panic build up in her lower belly, "Are you saying that, THAT thing is nuclear!?"
Both Luna and Pinkie rolled their eyes at her, "Yeah, duh! But it also runs on the hopes and dreams of kittens and puppies! Though, mostly just uranium."
"Pinkie," Twilight added urgently, "are you CRAZY!?"
"Twilight," Pinkie sighed resting a hoof on her shoulder, "you've been my friend for sometime now. It’s me, Pinkie, and half the stuff I do might seem crazy."
"B-but... Why? I mean what would a uranium based power core do?"
"STOP!" Luna interjected, "it also runs on the hopes and dreams of puppies and kittens! While not in that order, it runs on that too!"
"Here," Pinkie cooed rather seriously, "follow me." She said waving her hoof for the group to follow her up the next set of stairs.
Twilight hoped that going up the steps might lead to an explanation to why Luna and Pinkie had a power core like that in a pillow tower. Then again, knowing Pinkie, the explanation might be something completely out of the blue. So she prepared for the worse as they went up, hoping the answer wouldn't be too terribly confusing.
Up in the last floor of the room was a table with a map of Ponyville on it. An elaborate radio communications set-up was against one of the walls with a tiny fridge and sofa next to it. (Though, under the sofa, Twilight could clearly see an unfinished game of Temples and Monsters. It was probably Luna's.)
Across from the table was a small window, which Pinkie stood at silently as she gazed endlessly at Ponyville’s Park. "Pinkie, now please tell me why you have a uranium power core down stairs. Is it really necessary?"
Pinkie quickly turned around sharply, and in a deep voice she exclaimed, "OF COURSE!" Before turning her attention back to the window.
"But, why Pinkie?" Twilight asked once more.
Without diverting her gaze from the window, she said sincerely, "The world is filled with... Nasty wasties. And, nasty wasties, like the Cupcake Corporation want what we've got. And me and Luna have worked so hard to keep what we've got from those... Nasty wasties. So we won't let them take it..."
Pinkie slowly turned her head around and grinned at Twilight, "You're not one of those, nasty wasties... Are you?"
Twilight at this point was completely bewildered. So, with a shake from her head and a dismissing wave of her hoof she trotted off towards the exit. "You know... I think I've seen enough for one day. Come on Rainbow, let's get out of here..."
Rainbow Dash was chuckling to herself while floating next to Twilight, "Sorry Pinkie, I'm going with Twilight, it was a good laugh though!" She chuckled before following Twilight out of the Pillow Tower.
Quickly and urgently, Pinkie turned around and called back to Twilight, "But Twilight, join us! Together the four of us could create a name for our nation! Think of the kittens! Think of the poor souls who live without the sugar of cupcakes pulsing through their veins!"
"Yes Twilight Sparkle! Please, reconsider!" Luna agreed, shouting toward the stairs.
"No way, I'm going back to giving my books titles! Have a good day Pinkie!" Twilight’s echoing voice called from the lower sections of the tower.
"Crap." Pinkie swore stomping her hoof on the ground in agitation.
Luna approached Pinkie and asked, "What must we do now? Is there no others who can join our ranks?"
"Well..." Pinkie hummed, whilst tapping her chin in deep thought, "There is another..."
"Who?" Luna asked.
"I don't know, I was just trying to sound dramatic." Pinkie giggled before returning to her window.
"But," She added, "we'll find another... Maybe Rarity..."
"Shall we find somepony to fetch her?" Luna replied stepping up to Pinkie.
"Yeah, and if that fails, let's egg Twilight’s house. If she won't become an ally of Partimoonosia, she will be our enemy!"
"I see. But we have a question."
"Yes?" Pinkie responded raising an eyebrow at Luna.
"Might we finish our game? Your level 26 mage was just defeating the beast of Azeroth with the Power Glove."
"Ah yes," Pinkie cooed, "the game... We will finish it first. And I will kill the beast of Azeroth with the Power Glove!"
"Then, we shall fetch the game and get it ready."
"Good..." Pinkie purred, "But man, I love the Power Glove. It's so bad."
