Dash Through The Impossible

Muffins and Pointless Talk.

Previous Chapter

The Pegasus woke up to a frizzy mane and tail, cool air, and the bright sunlight shining through the window, and of course, THAT CLOUD was still there. The same shape. The same evil, too. Rainbow closed her eyes back for a few seconds, and decided to get up and have back popping 'answer her phone'. She, too, popped her wings, stretched, and 7 minutes later, the laziness faded away and she hopped out of bed. The smell of familiar...muffins...filled the air. What was up with the muffins? She flew gently to the window, looking up and the duck-shaped-puffy-thingy. "So help me...ugh...", she looked to the floor, no tears, but a frown, "The cloud got smaller....that means some of the poison evaporated....and if that potion whatever is now in the air...no pony will be able to go outside again....what if we run out of food in here? There's no room to fly! I won't be able to see my friends faces again except for Spike and Twilight...unless voice chat is a option." Dash didn't know she was talking to herself. Her heart hurt. Maybe some...muffins....will be her medicene. Less likely. Right on the way out, Rainbow heard a scream, witch made her pause. Right where she was. That voice was not close to Twilight's nor Spikes. Rainbow shook her head. Sounded like a high, soft scream. It was still loud enough for Rainbow. It sounded...like a trouble scream. She was just hearing things, she just wasn't herself today. If only Twilight didn't get her so worked up on the cloud. Rainbow's wing picked her up down to the other floor.

"Rainbow!" Well, Spike seemed happy. It was much as if Rainbow's happiness has been passed over to him. "Why didn't you come down last night?" Rainbow had tons of excusses for that. Her mind told her 'pick the most tasty candy out of all of the others from the bag'. "Er, well, uh," "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight to the rescue, turns out there was no tasty candy in the bag. "Hey, Twilight! If...muffins the only thing you have?"

"Why yes. I really have to go to the super market. I'm SO sorry if you hate muffins and your starving, it's the only thing we have.  If I could run out right now and get something to eat for you I would, but...you know."

"Y-..uh-huh..." Rainbow knew right of from the bat after what Twilight just said, Rainbow's life was going to be over. From starvation.

Spike looked suprised, "I can tell you didn't feel god last night. Oh, THAT'S why you didn't come down last night!"

Well that was a lie. Well, a fraction of it was actually true.

"Uh, I guess. But something else is bothering me, Spike."

Rainbow Dash ruffled Spike's head with her hoof and walked to the round table, with a huge plate in the middle piled with left over blueberry muffins. The other two walked over with her, Spike was smiling.

Twilight cleared up her throut, Mind to tell us?"

"It's a very short story..." Rainbow paused. Was it okay to tell Twilight some potion was already in the air? There was that scream that she also had to ask. She still had questions about the cloud, and she had to explain why them two plus her is sadly gonna die of starvation! This all would be a GREAT dinner discution. Yet again, the potion from inside the cloud will evaporate more, and the more dangerous it'll be to go outside. "I mean, a long story. Well, I don't know!" Rainbow had only a small amount of time to figure out the right thing to do.

Twilight's eyes brightened. She loved long discutions and figuring out her friends problems.  "No need for no tell! You have plenty of time to say what's on your mind, we can even talk about this until it's the day Winter Wrap-Up starts!

Spike sighed and hung his head. Twilight and, maybe Rainbow, was the only one who wanted the whole year to talk about one blob of things. Rainbow, them, chose to tell the important stuff right now. But everything was important! She'll have to just see what comes out of her mouth. Rainbow gasped for air and said as quick as a rapper, "WHEN I WOKE UP I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND SOME OF THE DUCK SHAPED CLOUD WAS GONE SO THAT MEANS SOME OF THE POTION IS ALREADY IN THE AIR SO THAT MEANS WE HAVE NO FOOD AND WE ARE SOON GONNA DIE OF STARVATION AND PLUS IT'S TO LATE FOR CELESTIA AND A FEW PONIES TO COME AND INVESTIGATE SINCE SOME OF THE POISON STUFF IS ALREADY IN THE AIR AND SO ON! AND ON MY WAY OUT I HEARD A REALLY WORRIED SOUNDING SCREAM AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT THAT CLOUD, TWILIGHT, BECAUSE CLEARLY YOU GOT IN ON MY MIND TO MUCH SO COULD YOU PAH-LEASSSE HELP ME OUT ON THIS!?"

Both Unicorn and Dragon paused there, clueless. "Was, that, like, Rainbowian language? I don't speak that language." Spike pointed out. Twilight bonked Spike on the head to make him gasp out an "Ow!"  Twilight had a big warm smile on her face and happily said, "Rainbow, like I said, we have all day to talk about this. You can say what you just said again, slowly, understanding, and not so loud."

This feared Rainbow with anger., "OH COME ON! NO! FORGET IT! I"M NOT REPEATING ANYTHING! DO I LOOK LIKE A BIG SQUASHY BRAIN THAT CAN REMEMBER THE LSAT COUPLE PARAGRAPHS THE SPOKE?...." Awkward silence. "Just....drop this whole thing!" Instead of flying, Rainbow Dash stomped her way upstairs, carrying a headache with her. Spike and Twilight looked at each other, confused more that ever.

Upstairs, Rainbow has her face in a pillow. She wasn't gonna say a SINGLE word. But if she said anything, Ponyville wouldn't have a outside world because of dangerous air. No worries, Rainbow has a big plan ahead of her.
