All her life, Scootaloo has always been Rainbow Dash's number one fan, always looking up to her as an idol, depending on her for advice. Through thick and thin, through waters deep and shallow, Scootaloo had always stayed by her side, the two were nearly inseparable. But somewhere along the way, that all changed. Drastically. Let's delve deeper into the story shall we?

It happened one starry night, ten years after Rainbow Dash had joined her first "Equestria's Best Young Flyer" competition. Rainbow was becoming a regular at these things; she had showed up for the past nine without fail and tonight was going to be no different. And today, Rainbow was looking to get her tenth win in a row. Scootaloo sat in the stands, staring up at the black cloak shrouding all of Equestria in its darkness, anxiously waiting for her hero. Over the years she had grown into a beautiful mare, her body physique similar to that of Rainbow Dash's, her mane was reminiscent to that of Rainbow Dash's, except Scootaloo's was slightly wilder. There were some rumors going around that the Wonderbolts might welcome her as the newest member if she aced this one as well.

A cyan blue pony burst out, her rainbow mane had still maintained its spunky shape after all these years, not changing even the slightest bit. Scootaloo cheered along with the crowd upon seeing her idol. Rainbow Dash had practically become a hero here in Cloudsdale. Everypony and everypony knew her. She would get letters from everypony, fan letters, love letters from a few colts once in a while. But of all her fans, out of the millions of them, Scootaloo had been the most loyal, staying by her side day and night. Tending to her every need, following her every hoofstep. And in return, Rainbow Dash treated her the same way. Offering every bit of advice she had, as well as teaching her everything she knew about flying. Scootaloo was like a little sister to her, and she treated her as such.

Rainbow Dash did her barrel rolls and turns, loops and twists. But the real highlight came when she did her signature move: the Double Sonic Rainboom. Rainbow Dash pulled it off, once again and two rainbow rings were formed, flashing across the night sky. A trail, of rainbows, which seemed never-ending, formed behind her. Scootaloo had seen Rainbow Dash perform this move tons of times during practice, but it was still amazing to see it on such a grand stage. And the reaction from the crowd was deafening. One Sonic Rainboom was already impressive enough, but two? That was a whole level beyond impressed.

Rainbow Dash finished her run and landed on a cloud, not even breaking a sweat. Scootaloo cheered harder, along with the entirety of the audience. The Wonderbolts responded by flying down, and presenting Rainbow Dash with a suit, one that symbolized the Wonderbolts. Making her their newest member.

Rainbow Dash was prepared for anything, anything but this. Her eyes shone with excitement and happiness. She had waited all her life for this day, and here it was, the excitement was clearly visible on her face. Tears of joy seemed to be on the verge, but she was trying her best to hold it in. She took the suit and flew off with her heroes. The crowd cheered with an excited passion as the Wonderbolts took off into the night, with their newest member.

Scootaloo headed home, eager to hang out with Rainbow Dash tomorrow. She flicked on the lights to her mansion. Technically, it was Rainbow's home, but Rainbow had given it to her when she gotten an even larger mansion. Scootaloo made her way to her room and plopped down on the former bed of her idol. Scootaloo wondered what tomorrow would bring for her now Wonderbolt friend.

Scootaloo wondered if Rainbow's new status as a Wonderbolt would change anything between her and her idol. There was that possibility, that slight possibility, that she would forget about her. That Rainbow Dash would go on to stardom, and all those years of trying to impress Rainbow would be wasted. It would be a nightmare for her. It seemed impossible that such a thing would happen.

"Nah. Rainbow Dash is the best! And, she's the Element of Loyalty for a reason." Scootaloo reassured herself.

Scootaloo went to sleep, excited and eager to see what tomorrow would bring, what new changes would apply to her life. It will obviously happen; after all, she is now friends with a Wonderbolt.
