Foreword

I'd suggest that if you don't want to read a bunch of useless crap, Don't read this chapter.

I was going to delete it but just left it to rot with hate (or love:if possible)

And if you came here and no longer wish to read the prologue, I advise you to quickly read the Author's notes

With that I bid you ado, and happy reading

It's early morning. the stars are still clearly visible, and the Sun has yet to rise. Three short figures can be seen running silently down the sidewalk. A tall figure sits cross-legged, meditating on his lawn. The tall figure is a teen boy with long and messy blonde hair.

"We have you surrounded, Andrew!" shouted the smallest of the trio, "How are you going to get away this time?"

The figure opened his eyes and smirked. "Like this," he said simply, jumping almost ten feet in the air and over their heads. He landed softly and silently behind the smallest of the three children. He squeezed them all together into a tight bear hug, "What are you three doing up? Shouldn't you be at home?" Andrew asked.

They all had sad expressions on their faces. They all whined and complained, making the sound the chatter of small children.

"You three should be at home sleeping, especially you Jacob," Andrew scolded, "What would you mother think if she knew you snuck out to see me this morning?"

"We're sorry," they whined in unison, yawning. "Could you at least do one of your Karate moves before we go?" Jacob asked, yawning once more.

"No, you guys are going to march yourselves right back home and get some sleep," Andrew said, authority beaming from his voice.

They all gave and audible *harumph* and slumped back to their home just a few houses over.

The Sun just started to peek over the horizon. Andrew stopped to look towards the sunrise thinking about its beauty. He turned to the moon creeping over the edge of the horizon opposite the Sun.

Andrew walked into his house, preparing himself for yet another boring school day.

Andrew lightly sighs, wiping dust off the piano in front of the guitar room. He has a hoodie on, which obscures any view of his face except his mouth. He begins to play Mad World on the piano. He plays the intro then begins singing in a low suprano, high alto voice.

All around me are familiar faces

Worn out places

Worn out faces

Bright and early for their daily races

Going nowhere

Going nowhere

During the song, a crowd of a couple students gathered around the piano.

Their are filling up their glasses

No expression

No expression

Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow

No tomorrow

No tomorrow

There were now 17 people watching and listening to Andrew's singing and playing.

And i find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which

I'm dying are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

when people run in

circles it's a very, very

Mad world, Mad world

The crowd began to sway to the song.

Children waiting for the day they feel good

Happy birthday

Happy birthday

Made to fell the way that every child should

Sit and listen

Sit and listen

Went to school and I was very nervous

No one knew me

No one knew me

Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson

Look right through me

Look right through me

A couple in the crowd had begun to hold each other, swaying together to the music.

And i find it kind of funny

I'm dying are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

Enlarging your world, Mad world

The song came to an end and the crowd started clapping and whistling. Andrew's eyes widened in the horror of having an audience. The crowd spat out congratulations and compliments only causing Andrew more fear. Someone tried to ask for his name, but the bell rung. Andrew heaved a sigh of relief. Everyone dispersed, heading every which way to 1st period.

Andrew was walking with his best friend Laurence.

"So what should I wear to the con?" Andrew asked.

"A costume maybe, I don't know. But you should definitely not wear the shirt I gave you," Laurence said.

"Agreed," Andrew said

"You shouldn't be worrying about the con though, you should be thinking about your dating life. Get a girlfriend," Laurence said, smirking.

"I'll try my best," Andrew said, chuckling as if it were a joke, "Bye."

"Bye, see you later," Laurence said beginning to walk home.
