Naim, was a ODST fresh out of basic, his leadership skills allowed him to fly through the ranks in that short time, he was a heavy-ish Hispanic guy with his family moving to the states in 2003.

Naim /ODST: What's going on?

Jayza: We are passing by a small planet.

Naim: You woke me up for that!?! why do you have to announce everything? last week we passed a sun 2 light years away...

Naim: ...don't wake me up unless its life threatening or important.

Jayza: Sargent, the planet can sustain life, I do believe it would be better for you if we landed.

Naim: Oh yeah? What makes you say that?

Jayza: For one, I think you would like the gravity. And two, O2 levels in the Pelican are low.

Naim: Oh...Prepare the pelican and take us down.

Jayza: I have already begun.

Naim: Perfect, how long until we reach atmosphere?

Jayza: About ten minutes.

Naim: Ok, do you know if there any locals or dangerous creatures?

Jayza: Negative, all I'm picking up is this strange signal.

Naim: Well then, we could not have picked a better time to show up, would you not agree?

Jayza: Cant say that I cant.

Naim: Okay, what's new in the drop suits?

Jayza: The drop suits are equipped with a high voltage rod in the gloves, this will allow for an instant stun on who ever touches it. The back pack has an EMP generator, that will disable all electronics not hooked up to an EMP shield, luckily for me, I have one. The back pack also have a deployable Bubble shield, the field is only up long enough to catch your breath but it will heal any and all wounds with in that time, if it's too large it might still be there. The armor has an absorbing field that will only absorb energy projectiles. The boots have been upgraded with thruster packs to aid in slowing a decent or giving a boost while jumping as well as hover for a short time. And apart from the armor, there in now the VISOR glasses, the same concept as the VISOR in your helmet but in glasses, night vision, Heads-Up-Display (HUD), and map data, as well as a radar. Anything else?

Naim: Yeah, what weapons do we have?

Jayza: On bored, we have just about every weapon the UNSC has released, the Gunships has about every possible gun on it and still light enough to fly, and few covenant weapons.

Naim: Which are...

Jayza: Energy sword, Jackal shield, and about 200 Plasma Grenades, Fire Bombs, and Spike Grenades.

Naim: Well, seems we're all set. I'm taking 4 of each nade, the Suppressed SMG, Suppressed Magnum, the shield and sword. Oh, almost forgot the shotgun.

Jayza: Don't you think that's a little exe... Were entering the atmosphere in 5, buckle up sir.

Naim: DONE!

The Entry to the planet was a rough one, the Pelican Gunship's engines had roared to life in order to avoid spinning and crashing in to the planets surface. It was about a 2 min decent before slowing down to land.

Naim: How much fuel do we have? Is the air toxic? Why do I always freak out on landing?

Jayza: The cloud filter is on and we have a full tank. No and you fall from space and don't get a gentle ride down.

Naim: Okay laugh it up, just transfer yourself to my helmet and open the door.

The Door opened, Naim checked his HUD's clock, it was 20:27:46, as he walked out, he saw they were in what looked like forest, they were on a hill looking down in to a valley. That was when the signal was received again, but this time it was as clear as day and an image of a man appeared on the VISOR's display. The man had Navy Blue hair, blue eyes and a looked like he had gone through Hell and Back.

Naim: This is Sargent Naim Sosa of the UNSC's ODST Corps, who is this and what is your situation?

Shining Armor: This is Capt. Shining Armor, of the Equestrian Royal Guard, we're taking a beating down here, we have wounded, and are losing ground, we need back up now!

Naim: Send me a signal, and I'll be on my way.

A few seconds passed before seeing a blue flare shoot up in to the sky.

Shining Armor: Do you see it?

Naim: Yes, I'm on my way. Capt. I need info on what your troops look like as to not attack them.

Shining Armor: They are wearing gold battle armor, the enemy is wearing, red and black armor.

Jayza: Are you sure we should be helping them, we don't know what these people want, they could be rebels for all we know.

Naim: They got a hold of us, don't know how but they did, that and he said royal guard, that means they are protecting something or someone, As the UNSC we must help them.

Jayza: You know, for a rookie, you sure know your way around a rule book.

As they got closer they could hear what sounded like swords and shields clashing, as they stepped out of the forest, the saw what looked like something out of a medieval story book.

Jayza: you sure we're in the right place?

Naim: Yeah this is were the flare was shot from. Capt. were are you?... Capt...Capt... no resp....

At that point, something grabbed Naim's shoulder and pulled him down to the ground, he was holding what looked like a long sword, and he was wearing purple-ish armor.

Shining Armor: Say your prayers, and may Celestia have mercy on your soul.

Naim: Capt.?

Shining Armor: Who are you?

Naim: It's me Naim Sosa, you contacted me.

Shining Armor: Naim, you're our back up?

Naim: Yeah, and it's all you got so what's the problem?

Shining Armor: It's just... That... Never mind, look we need to keep them from taking Ponyville, if we lose here they'll have a straight shot at Canterlot.

The battle was waging, the sound of metal V.S. metal was starting to annoy Naim.

Naim: Ok. What do you want me to do?

Shining Armor: Defend the area. Where is your...

Naim: My what?

Shining Armor: Your sword and shield?

Naim: Don't worry, I got one.

Shining Armor  dashed forward thrusting his sword at every enemy that faced him every blow being lethal, blood covered the ground the sound of men being stabbed, and their bodies hitting the floor. The cries of the dying , of despair and pain, the sound of men being dragged off the battle field, in to medical tents only to be put out of their misery. Naim listened to the horror of the battle field, he remembered the death of everyone of his squad members being glassed by the covenant, in his training camp his leg was injured and was one of the first evacuated, had he been okay, he would be dead with his squad, his friends, and his family, he was not sure  if it was a blessing or a curse. Then the moment Shining Armor looked at Naim, he jumped using the thrusters to give him a boost, pulling out the energy sword and diving in to an enemy. Time seemed to have slowed down as Naim pulled out the energy sword. The Blade looked like it took energy from the air, as it came out, it made a noise that sounded like a lighting strike, the purple glow of the blade was only temporary, when it was fully deployed it made a bright flash and started glowing blue. As Naim slashed the enemy's armor it vaporized and the dark man fell to his knees, Dead. As Naim ran to the next guy the swords clashed, but not for long, the high heat coming from the sword melted right through and sliced the foe in half. The battle quickly changed tides, The Royal Guard was amazed at the power of the wonder weapon. That's when the Enemy called in what they called mages.

Naim: What is a Mage?

Shining Armor: It's their wizards.

Naim: Jayza, he can't be serio...

Shining Armor: Look Out!

Shining Armor Tackled Naim. When Naim looked at the Mages, he saw on of the make a fire ball out of mid-air. Naim not knowing how to react activated the absorption Field and waited. As the ball his the shield he saw it vanish and the battery of his suit go up by 50%. Pleased by the result he charged pulling out the Jackal Shield, The small disk quickly deployed in to a green disk of energy. One of the older Mages used some sort of pulse to push him back. Naim, Off balance Reacted quickly and pulled out a Plasma Grenade, he used his thrusters to readjust, then activated and through the Grenade. The small teal ball quickly turned in to a white ball of burning blue fire, it landed on one of the Elder Mages, not knowing what it was, he just stood there and laughed the other mages followed, but that all stopped when the elder mage burst into a white explosion and had vanished. The Others looked scared and he heard one say "no ones ever defeated an elder mage before," then heard another say " he must be a demon, for he has no color in his eyes or look upon his face"

Naim: Demon? Are these guys serious?

One of the younger mages picked up a sword and charged Naim, He grabbed the sword looked into the fearful eyes of the Mage, head-butted him, spun him around and held him by the neck, as in the process of all that pulled out his pistol and help it to his head. Naim yelled at them.

Naim: I AM A DEMON,IF YOU VALUE THE LIFE OF YOUR COMRAD AND YOURS, YOU WILL SURRRENDER AND RETURN TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM.

Young Mage: Do not fall for his lies, this demon will kill us all, kill him while you have the chance, I sacrifice my self for our people, my family, and HOVENDALE!!!

One of the Mages started making a fire ball, before he was half way done a high pitched whistle was herd for a second then he dropped dead, the whistle came from his pistol, the next tried to do the same thing and again same result. One by one the mages tried and failed at trying to kill him. Once they were all dead the young mage was horrified, seeing his comrades fall...

Shining Armor:  Naim! Come over here.

The mage filled with rage kicked Naim and broke away from his grip and started to run.

Shining Armor: Don't let him get away!

Naim: Do you want him dead or alive?

Shining Armor: I don't Care!

Naim quickly turned around took a quick glance squeezed the trigger, the mage, at more than 200 yards way fell dead, in the dark.

Naim: Yes sir.

Naim saluted then took of his helmet, reviling a tan skinned young man.

Shining Armor: Naim we would all like to thank you for your bravery and assistance in this battle.

Naim looked around, most of the soldiers had fear in there eyes and those who did not, were aw-struck, with nothing to say.

Naim: Well glad to have helped, I'll be going now.

Shining Armor: WAIT, we need you, Equestria needs you, your people need you.

Jayza: He thinks, your from here?

Naim: Whoa, Whoa, Whoa... I'm not from here.

Shining Armor: Then where are you from?

Naim: Earth.

Shining Armor: Well we would like to thank you with a feast, due to our and your bravery, Princess Celestia will have a feast in our honor, would you please join us?

Naim: Jayza, What do you think?

Jayza: Well you do need the food, good way to rest, and now we have some new allies so let them thank you.

Naim: Okay, I'll Go.

Shining Armor: Great join us tonight in Canterlot, it's just on that ridge, and it's formal attire, see you there.

Shining Armor turned his troops around and started walking away. Then Naim put on his Helmet.

Naim: Awww Crap.

Jayza What's the matter?

Naim: I'm an ODST, not some fancy pants.

Jayza: So...

Naim: I don't have any Formal attire.
