The Pony That Fell From The Sky.
Its begins in a simple small town. His name was Thomas, he was just that kid down the street you never noticed until he was outside. He lived his days in sadness. He was alone no one to call his friend; he saw a light coming from his closet door he blacked out as soon as he opened it when he woke up he was in a bed he didn’t know. There was a girl, with red hair looking over him she was beautiful her eyes were soft and kind. Her name was star, he asked where he was, she said he was safe.
As he got up he looked around, he didn’t know where he was, it turned out to be the distant future, but why was he brought here, she said that he was the last of the pure, the last before the gene splicing started.
After a few days of teaching him about this new world, she brought him into her work place, her boss was angry at her, bringing in a uninvited guest, but when he saw him, he stopped, his eyes lit up in joy
he was a purebred, a human with no altered DNA.
He offered him a deal, he would let him stay if he volunteered for an experiment that would change his life forever.
He would be given a process. They began to train his body, so he could use the watch, a watch that would give him power beyond what he could understand, his DNA was pure enough, but his body was full of unnecessary bacteria.
He was then prepped, his body and his mind needed to become purer and stronger, or the device would destroy him, no normal person could simply put it on, and after several months, he was ready, the watch stood on a shining metal table, waiting for him.
On picking it up, it felt heavier then he thought it would, it was cold to the touch, it was stainless steel, with a memorizing blue inclined face silver notches for the numbers, it looked like a normal watch to him, almost too normal, star was standing behind him and in a soft gentle voice she said "Just put it on, you’ll see." she added a small hint of sass, it made me blush a little as I slowly put it on my left wrist, I felt a cold shiver go down my back, then it latched itself into place, almost tight, but just the perfect fit.
Then a sharp prick broke my concentration on the watch as I felt a small cool liquid go into me, they were the nanites that would be regulating my body for the final prep before I could use the watch’s full feature, she said it would be one more day before I could use it fully, the day seemed like years to me in anticipation.
Then the day finally came, I was a bit on edge, not sure what would happen, and to make things worse there was a chance it might damage my spine on the warm up phase, but it was worth the risk, who wouldn’t want to be a super hero, well they said I would only use them as tools but heck still worth it, all my training I just hope I live.
I was led into the observatory’s mane stage, there was a large crowd on the other side of the glass waiting to see this new technological marvel be unveiled, they forgot to mention there would be a crowd but that didn’t matter as Star told me to raise my arm above my head, as she instructed me to say..."Power Up." This seemed a bit cheesy to me, but heck it beats saying, its morphing time...
Then it happened...
The lights went out, I was taken off guard as one by one the crowd began to scream in terror, I couldn’t see a thing, then the emergency lights came on, the room filled with crimson red as a dark figure was amongst the crowd, I couldn’t make it out, only he had a similar watch on, but the face was glowing an orange red, then the next thing I knew he blasted a hole through the thick glass just by raising his hand, making me fly back and almost making me pass out, barley able to see, the dark figure looked to Star who was cowering in the corner, he knocked her out as he walked to a control panel, he flipped some switches as the machine behind me whirred to life as in a violent blast of thunderous blue light a vortex ripped into existence, he then walked over to me as I shouted, "You bastard!" he then pulled me up by my collar, and whispered in my ear, "Die..." He then threw me into the vortex in a panic, the last I heard was screaming of the crowd as I said in a weak voice "Power...up..." I blacked out.
In the vortex he passed out, he woke up to a thud, slowly a light beamed into his eyes as the focused, it was a hill, the grass was soft but cold to the touch, the sun was warm and just peaking itself in the sky, as he sat up his head was slightly heavy, the sky was a beautiful blue, the clouds were scattered but the whitest he has ever seen; a soft breeze passes by, giving him a slight chill, he felt a bit of a draft.
As he stood up he saw that we was on a high hill on top of a mountain, the view was breath taking, never did he see so many pines, and the sun was in the perfect place to show a waterfall spraying water off the cliff miles away, the field smelled sweet with clean air, for once he felt alive.
As he stood up, he noticed a blue streak fly past him with a rainbow like blur trailing behind it, he was
awestruck by this, and wondered what it was, he shook his head, thinking this was all a dream.
That’s when he saw her, she was a impossibility, it was a pegasus, with pale yellow fur and a pink mane, for some reason she made him feel warm inside but, before she spotted him he took cover behind a bush, he wasn’t scared but he didn’t want to be known yet, he looked to his watch, his watch he forgot about that, it was activated, then suddenly he noticed something was off, his heart stopped as he noticed he didn’t feel his fingers, "Wait my..HOLY CRAP I HAVE A HOOF FOR A HAND!". He ran stumbling over his newly acquired hooves until he fell face first next to a puddle of water and looked in afraid of what he might see, he saw his face, it wasn’t him, it was the face of a pale blue horse with a matching horn and muzzle, he leaped up neighing and kicking wildly. "NO NONONONO, this cant be happening, what happened to my body?!" He then froze in place, peaking over the area, luckily for him the pegasus was already gone, he sighed in relief not sure what to make of this, he sat down, beginning to laugh, he was so out of wack he must have gone crazy, or so he kept telling himself. He then felt a strange stiffness, he stood up side by side to the water, his face in the reflection went from a odd awkward face to one like that of a giggly happy child, he had wings! "I-I have wings too?!". He began to trot, awkwardly but surely keeping his balance with his newly acquired wings, trying to flap them.
That when his mind snapped back into realization about what happened to his close friend, he sat back down, almost about to fall over of shock as his memory flooded over his eyes, he wasn’t sure why, but he knew the nanites have already started changing his mind, improving it, it was the last stage of the prep, he thought it was over, I guess they're prediction of how long it lasted were off a few hours, he would have to wait for it to be finished before he could use his watch...but why did that happen...why did that man kill all those people his head started to hurt from thinking to hard, he then slowly went into a calm meditation, trying to remember his training, he felt his mind slowly calming into a mirror like pool, seeing a single small blue flame hovering over the water
"You need to learn to control the fire before you use it, remember that..." That’s what she told me, always use that, I have to be strong and think this through...
"Okay, lets see now, how does this work again...". He lifted the watch to his chest, and saw it clicking away, the display was an alien like design mimicking the movements of the hands of a watch, he then tried to remember the commands to work this thing. "Hmm, oh ya, open main feature, log book." as he said the last letter the fave began to glow into a ray of blue light as a blue transparent book opened as on the bottom in white letters said "Record when ready".
He clears his throat as he begins to speak "Day one, I have found myself in this strange world, its the
weirdest thing I have ever seen, but some how this place feels peaceful, I hope I can find a place to stay, or at least figure out why the vortex brought me here, the doc told me a few days ago that he discovered something amazing, I guess it was this place. He said it would change how we look at life, religion, and the reason for living....but more important, I need to find a way back after I discover this place, I will stay here until I find out why this place was so important for him, end log.".
He closed his eyes, trying to make sense of all this. That’s when he heard a strange screeching coming from a distance, it was getting louder...or closer, that’s when he saw a spinning blue box whip by him at a breakneck speed, twirling out of control, he jumped at this, it couldn’t be what he thought it was, but so was this place. He didn't know what to make of all this, then he felt something inside of him compelled to chase after the blue box, but was it the smart thing to do, he would only cause commotion, he didn't even know if he would be able to blend in. He gulped and stretched out his wings. "H-here goes nothing"
He then closes his eyes and dives off the cliff, the cool air pushes against his face as he then turns his body, with some force he was now gliding threw the clouds high above the trees. The soft flow was wind pushed his body upward and downward as he began to flap his wings, trying to balance where he flew, his eyes began to glow slightly with a pale blue light as he felt his inner power flow around his new body slowly he began to fly faster and faster, trying to catch up with the blue box. He pushed his body harder then he noticed he was right over the trees, and he had the blue box in his sight, some how he felt that whoever was flying that box had all the answers he needed, that’s when it happened, the blue pegasus and the yellow pegasus were flying for the box as well, he freaked out then dived into the trees below before he was seen. He landed with a rough thud crashing through the branches.
The whole place was hauntingly beautiful, never did he see such a surreal area of dark but light forest. It was almost as peaceful as the sunrise he just witnessed, there were sparks of what seemed to be pale sprites floating about with the soft current of the breeze mixing there beauty with the streaks of sunlight piercing through the trees, he sighed in relief knowing he wasn’t spotted, and relaxed there to think up a plan on what to do next.
He wanted to know more about that box...could it be who he really think it was. His thoughts whirled around and around in his head, only raising more questions than answers. He then smelled smoke, standing up he looked to see a small hut in the distance, he smiled slyly, this had to be some sort of coincidence. He trotted over as quietly as he could and peeked inside, there was a zebra was mumbling strange rhymes as she was putting what seemed random items into a large caldron almost the size of her. He backed up as she perked her ears up.
"What be all dark and rude..something different...something..blue? Who be there with eyes glow like
ember...what could be that I remember?...". He trotted away into the shadows still not wanted to be seen. She opened her hut's door looking into the shadows, tilting her head in confusion, then she shouted out. "Come out darling do not fright, for I do not bite. "She smiled as I slowly walked out from the bushes, she gasped at the stallion. "This cannot be!" She backed up falling back into her cabin eyes filled with surprise. "Are my eyes deceiving me?! A god among ponies, that of royalty, but you are not as you seem, your eyes tell your story young one, you are as lost as me..." he nods shyly. "Please come in, there is much to discuss, of one that should cause all this ruckus. "smiling she lets me in I trot slyly more in control of my feet. "she smiles at me more calm. "What brings such a powerful pony that I see?". I take a deep breath, not sure how to put this into words. I breath out keeping silent, showing her my eyes, Zacora looks more closely into my eyes, her eyes begin to sparking gasping in amazement, as if she is reading my entire life through the windows of my soul.
"You poor child..."she looked down with a sad but understating tone.
"No wonder you cannot make words, for only raw emotions can you give, here now still you live, but your heart is heavy, but strong and sure..." I try to speak but she hushes me softly. "Rest now child take your time to choose your words, for a great adventure is insured, one with love, one with excitement, and heavens above.". I nod, closing my eyes trying to find the right words, she understood my pains, she knew those eyes well, she felt what my heart endured in those few but long months.
