The gray mare was roaming casually, a white stallion by her side. They each had a story no one but each other knew. The colt spoke first, "When are we going to get going? We have less time than we both may think."

The mare shook her head, her mane bouncing gently and her horn protruded ever so slightly. "I don't know Ace, it all depends on when we find out when we can begin rebuilding Equinox."

Ace looked ahead, looking at the barren wasteland of their used-to-be home. "How do we rebuild something that was destroyed with the help of the Void, Silver?"

She shrugged in response. Ace simply huffed, completely confused as they trotted through the area, the bones of pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies scattered everywhere. Silver looked at a sign that said: Now Leaving Canterlot. Come again! With a sigh, she stepped through the now melted iron gates. "Well, if we don't stop it soon, it could wipe Equestria clean of all life forms, Ace. We need to find a way to stop it before it's too late."

He shook his head, his black and red mane hiding his expression from Silver. "We can't just wake up one day and stop it Silver, it takes time. Something that isn't necessarily on our side at the moment," he said with little to no remorse once the words left his mouth.

She flew in front of him, two small but long scratches on her left wing and her chest were visible. "I didn't agree to help you just to get negativity from you, Ace. I agreed because I wanted to help you be happy again or feel as if that empty hole residing in your heart would be filled by just an ounce. I'm helping, and if you don't want my help anymore, then so be it. I can leave you now, or we can both try and be positive," she nearly yelled, landing in front of him to prevent him from walking forward. "I just want to help you because I know what it's like to lose family," she hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.

He froze, and the only thing that made a sound was the gust of the wind moving the ash and dust off the ground. He then hugged her back and said in defeat, “Okay, I'll try."

With a flap of her wings, she pulled away with what seemed like her first smile since Canterlot was destroyed. "Yippee!" she excitedly yelled. She began to trot away, her shoulders looking a bit more broad and straight.

"Silver?" Ace said quietly.

She looked over her shoulder, stopping in her tracks. "Yes, Ace?"

"Thank you, for everything."

Silver smiled, nodding her head. "No need to thank me. That's what friends are for."

Ace smiled back, a new feeling blooming within his heart. "Friends," he repeated before they began to walk again.

Epic Ace's POV

I awoke in an alley way with a jolt, my dream making me curious and making me believe it was true. "Who is this Silver in my dream and how did she know about Equinox and the Void? No one knows but my brother and I," I muttered aloud, a shiver being sent down my spine. I hated thinking of him, but I had no choice but to when he left me nothing but a painful memory. I shuddered, leaning against the wall for support as I groaned in hunger. "I might as well find some food, I guess. Since I have nothing else to do."

I got up, finding a water valve and twisted it to the left to turn it on. I stuck my head under it, savoring it every time I swallowed. With a grunt, I slide under it, allowing my mane to get wet but not my coat, considering the fact it would just get dirty again. I slid my cloak on effortlessly and walked out of the alley way I slept in for the night to avoid more trouble than I was already in. I arrived at the market, the sun just now coming up with nopony out yet there to sell for the day. There goes the food option, I thought calmly and walked into another alley way to curl up in a ball and rest again, no matter for how long. Who was that gray mare in my dream anyway? She didn't belong there. The Void destroying Canterlot doesn't seem to realistic either. I thought to myself as I settled down in a rather sweet smelling alley way for a change. Who ever she was and whatever she has to do with me rebuilding Equinox is of no concern. I better get my mind off of her. I finished, curling up into a ball and closing my eyes after removing my cloak. "It was only a dream, that's all." I push the mare to the back of my mind and drift off, allowing my head to clear since I don't want to finish that bloody odd dream.

Silver Mist's POV

_________________________________________________________________________________________

My mane is ruffled and my heart is racing when I awaken from the vivid dream. I must have fallen out of my bed for it to end because I was on my floor, my head in my hooves. "Ow," I spoke as I looked at the wing I had fallen on. "Damn it!" I yelled, sitting up slowly and preening it to smooth the feathers down. "Who in the name of Celestia's sun is Ace? I've never met a colt by that name in my entire life span!" I blurted out, climbing back into bed and pulling the covers over me before getting up again to get something to drink. And I don't ever plan on meeting one, I think negatively as I open my fridge with my magenta colored magic and pull out a water bottle. I take a few sips after removing the cap and place it back on the door of the fridge. I close the door with my back hoof as I walk away, trotting lazily up the steps of my home and into my room.

I climbed into my bed, one hoof at a time. I placed my forelegs on my bed and hoisted my back left leg onto it, rolling sleepily onto it so I'm fully on my bed and against the wall. I pull the covers onto me with my magic, burying my face into my pillow and groaning softly. "That dream woke me up for no reason," I mumbled as I tossed and turned, unable to get comfortable enough to fall asleep again. I grumbled and cleared my head, making sure nothing else completely and utterly meaningless to me came up and decided to wake me again before I had to go to work. I decided to lay on my stomach, flipping over again and sliding my right foreleg under my pillow to get comfortable. I stuck my left back leg out and finally fell asleep after what seemed like an eternity to my sleepy and thought provoked mind.
