These walks has always been thinking about the academy, the academy that she worked hard to get into, well, until her ego ate her up and nearly harmed everypony. That's when she stopped and thought of the one pony who thought to be her friend, the one being a cyan colored pony with very colorful main, Rainbow Dash. Her jaw tensed as those stinging words from Rainbow started to repeating in her head of hers. Over and over it repeated like a broken record that was tossed away like garbage. "And I get you want to be the best and so do I! But you're going about it the wrong way" The wrong way "I'm such a fucken idiot, of all the things I've done I just had to be reckless," Lightning Dust muttered to herself. Dust took a long sigh and started walking again, trying her best to block those words in her head again. Everything became complicated to even fix, to much thinking to handle, and to much tears to shed. Dust had always thought she can be a wonderbolt like her Uncle did. Roaming Blaze inspired her to push herself to her limits and to become headstrong about her accomplishments, but nopony would ever see that in a performance, not even her parents. Lightning Dust's parents weren't the best parents towards her, always seeking perfection in every turn, stunt, and moves she pulled around her parents. They'll either be harsh towards her or disappointed about the moves she pulled, and as she got older her parents wouldn't care anymore unless it's important to their time. This causing Dust to only care about herself and without having a thought in the world who got in her way, as long as she can beat them at anything she knew that she was the best at what she does. Dust looked up in the morning light and inhaled the wet ciment as she started to spread her wings. Hearing bones cracking on the non-touched wings, she began to take flight of lightning speed. She was doing amazing stunts that she perfected as a foal, remembering every angle that goes into different turns. It felt...right and amazing on her wings, she felt like a child again, remembering the smiles from her Uncle and telling her she'll be a great flyer one day. Landing on a nearby cloud Dust exhaled the best feeling she felt in 2 years. 2 years of being depressed, alone in the world and wondering if she'll ever be back at flying again, if she'll ever go beyond the ground and to the skies again. " If only they saw that....if only" Dust said to herself. She laid on the cloud and watched the sun rise up to at noon, then she had this though in her mind. She smiled to that thought that maybe it's not to late to join back to the academy. She still had a chance to join, to dream once more again like 2 years ago, but getting back in again is going to be a lot of convincing to be back in again. Spitfire, that hard-ass pony is never going to let her in unless she was willing to prove the changed in her emotion. Dust's anger boiled like there was something just clicked, this making her growl in anger of the moment when she herd the rip across her chest and the gold badge being handed to Rainbow. Dust tried to calm herself down but couldn't, hot tears blurred her vision as that memorie returned to hunt her, and every time she had a grasp of hope it was ruined by that stupid memorie. "Why is it always me that fucks up? I-I was the lead-pony god damn it!" yelled out loud by Dust "My little filly crying, why are you still pint up about it?" Dust was shocked to hear that voice again, and when she turned around it couldn't be but it was. Her Uncle Roaming Blaze, came to see her. Why was he here thats the important question. "U-Uncle? What are y-ou doing here?" " I came to check up on you. It's been a very long time since I herd from you" Dust came to no words that she wanted to say to her Uncle, but she knew to well that he was never going to leave until she gave him an answer "Why are you still holding on to that moment?" Dust couldn't really find the voice to say, it was only silence that kept in her voice. She didn't want to look him in the eye, not anymore because of the disappointment she had smeared across the family's reputation. "Because of how I got so far in my life to only see the crumble of my achievements, you know what happened out there! You saw everything, from the tornado to getting kicked out! Dust tried to stop the tears that were falling on her face, but since every emotion is hitting her like a train she couldn't bare it. Her Uncle only came closer to give Dust a warm welcoming hug, she hasn't felt his hugs in forever. That forgetful warmth that was always missing in her life. "Little filly, I know what happened. Yes I am disappointed but at the same-time I'm proud of you" "P-Proud of me? What are the things to be proud o-of about me? I always go out of hand to just prove a simple point." Roaming Blazed chucked with her statement, he knew what it was like to be rejected so many times before for being to wild or reckless around otherponys. He always kept that away from Lighting because he wanted to see if she can do it right the first time, unlike him. "Filly I was just like you, I retook the Academy for how many times I got kicked out for my actions I pulled. It took me ten 10 tries to finally make it in. Now look at where I gotten after that. I'm saying if you love flying as much as the next pony then why give up on that dream? Every little thing can be forgiven even the price might be to high. You have the guts to show Spitfire what you can do, and pushing to yourself is fine, but sometimes you got to let go and realax." Dust wiped any tears left and looked at her Uncle, her Amber eyes looked up in the clear blue sky where everything little thing is perfect. She realized the love her flying is far more greater then any stupid letter that says "congratulations you've been accepted." But there was that one question that keeps popping back in her mind. "Will I ever go back in and show my face to the ponies that I caused harm, even towards Rainbow" Dust turns to her Uncle with a small smile and hugged on more time before lifting into the air. Roaming looked at her with smirk, he this was the filly that he loved and cared. "Try not be to confident this time Dusty, try to remember to realax once in a while!" Roaming yelled before strong gushes of wind hit his face. Cause right now Dust was only thinking of going to Spitfire and demand to be in again. She wanted to know her enemy that she loves and prove her wrong. The enemy being Rainbow Dash.
