As you wake up for the second time, you realize you are stuck in a world of candy colored ponies. You're not going to go back home, there's no going back, there's not a single thing to bring you back, the Human from earth is stuck on land mysterious and dangerous to him. with a sword. That's comforting, you need to sharpen your sword though... dull means for less use, sharp means you can use it. but, what's that's that sound, it's talking, "I jus' dun know Raritah, ya gots some fancy smancy knight in shining armor up 'ere... what's so cool 'bout 'im?" you stand up and take your sword belt up, moving to the door just as it opened you are... 'face to waist' with an orange pony wearing a stetson.

"Good morrow to you" you say as you crisply bow your body about half way from being parallel to the ground the pony frowns and removes her hat as she looks up at you.

"Mighty fine mornin', iffin' I got any say in it. Names Applejack, I help run Sweet Apple Acres. You're the knight?" she nodded a bit as she eyed you, and the sword. she seemed a bit unnerved so you stooped yourself down to kneel before her.

"Yes, I am. I am Sir Anonymous. A pleasure to meet you mi'lady. I believe I have given your farm business in the day past. A large red pony, short on words, but a nice enough fellow." you nod and offer a hand palm up to her she grins and takes your hand, giving a rowdy shake and then looks at Rarity whom had been standing in the doorway,

"I like 'im, An' I think ya met mah brother Big Mac." You smile a bit as you remember a burger of the same name. as you remember you think about how there will be no more big macs, or any burgers unless you slaughter it yourself. and your stomach rumbles the ponies look at you and cock their heads to the side and Rarity titters,

"Oh, how silly of me, We haven't had breakfast yet, Come Anonymous, we should talk about this over food, Would you join us Applejack?" you stand tall and move to get new clothes.

"Rarity, I cain't say no to that offer, I'd like to talk to ya' more,"She says addressing you for the latter part, "and stayin' 'round means I get to talk." she nods and places her hat back on her head and then moves away, as you get your clothing and gather it up you say to rarity.

"I'll be down in a moment, Just require wash. Thank you for the room and board, you are truly generous." you reach down and gently stroke her head, avoiding her horn, in case it's sensitive or a lewd display, Rarity smiles and gently pushes up into your hand as you pet her.

"Ahhh, Dahling, it's no issue, You're a gentle-pony and have no place to stay. now then, I'll be heading down." With that she turns and struts down her stairs as she moves away, you turn toward the bathroom and find a running water tub, a a brick of soap, you sigh, begin to run a bath and strip yourself, setting the sword to lean on wall beside the tub, you move into the rising water slowly, a gentle warming feeling moving through you from your feet to your chest as you sit in the smaller tub.

A wash cloth in your hand, you begin to lather and turn the water off, as you wash your hair, that has already grown out a bit, getting about two inches longer than you think it should be to it's a bit harder to keep up with, maybe Rarity knows a barber. Or at least a person with scissors maybe she does. she did design your clothes, as you finish lather soap into your hair you duck your head under the water and close your eyes, shaking your head under the water, you raise up and look around.

finding the door slightly ajar, you raise an eyebrow and slowly raise out of the water, pulling the plug on the drain and taking a towel from a rack and drying off your head and then your shoulders, you almost swear you see a bit of purple at the door, you stare as you dry yourself, once finished you put on your under clothes and then the pants and boots, tucking the pants into them and pulling the shirt on.

You grab your belt and head for the door as you open it you find, nothing, as you look around, you affix your belt on your waist and make your way down the stairs. moving to the kitchen you see a plate of muffins set out. You smile and sit at the table, picking one up and taking a large bite out you quickly find it gone, and then look at Applejack and Rarity, both smile a little, Applejack seems more friendly than when you first met her. "So, Anon-ee-moose What kinda name is that?"

"It means I have no name." You nod sagely and lean back and smile a bit as they nod, "I awoke in Princess Twilight Sparkles basement... Sword still raised as I was fighting for a maiden's hand at a local fair, a beautiful woman's hand was to be won by the man who could stand his ground agianst a large hedge knight, so named because of lower birth, training, and equipment, very tenacious." You take another muffin, "And when I came to in her basement, I had forgotten my name, but could remember everything else."

"Well, Ain't that just the cats ME-ow!" Applejack grins and chuckles. "That's got tah be the best story I ever did hear."

"Well, Thank you, I pride myself on my memory." You nod, setting yourself determined you slowly stand and nod to the both, "And I must go, I believe I should see the Princess Twilight Sparkle, She had said she was contacting other Princesses I believe I should see her and visit upon that affair." you bow, "I shall return."

"Tch, ah, well darling, stay safe." Rarity nods and applejack turns to her, muttering something you can't hear as you leave. stepping out into the warm sun you begin to walk towards the large tree in the middle of the town. knocking on the door you smile at the little reptile that greets you,

"Oh, Sir Knight. What's up man?" you smile and reach down to pat his frill.

"I am seeing how Princess Sparkle has been, and you as well." you nod and step in, boots clacking on the wood of the tree, "Where is she?"

"In the basement again... She got a letter earlier from the Princesses. I think it was about you." he nods and points to the basement door.

"Princess Sparkle?!" you call down the steps as you walk down the dim stairwell. "I was told you recieved a letter, Was there any mention of me?" the answer is short and sweet.

"Yeah, Come down here!" she seems excited you hurry down and find her prancing happilly about, "I have wonderful news! You're going to be going to Canterlot with me, as my personal escort!" she smiles and dances from hoof to hoof.

"That is wonderful news. When do we leave?" You nod, standing at ease hands clasped infront of you and feet at shoulder width apart.

"Today! I was planning on seeing you soon, you're at Rarity's... Right?"

"Yes, Correct, and I should get my armor affixed, And Princess Sparkle?"

"Please, Anonymous, call me Twilight."

"Princess Sparkle."

"Twilight."

"Hm, Twilight. Do you happen to have a a grinding wheel?"

"Uhhmm... I could find one if I had the time. What do you need it for?"

"My sword is a bit dull, cannot be a bodyguard without a properly sharpened weapon."

"Alright, See the blacksmith three streets and a left from here. Tell him it's royal business... give him this." She floats a sigil to you, it depicts Celestia on one side and and Twilight on the other, "It's worth enough Bits cover ten suits of armor like yours... so tell him this is the lifetime payment for you from the princess."

"Thank you Twilight, I will get done soon." You turn around and hurry out, heading back to the boutique you go to the pink room and retrieve your armor from the chest and fix it on, you then take the helmet, fixing it on you move down to leave and hear Rarity,

"Hmm... Sneaking out are we?"

"No mi'lady, Royal business... I am to escort Prin- Twilight while in Canterlot."

"Hmm... Am I invited to join you all?"

"I do not know. Perhaps you could ask Twilight? I must get my sword sharpened. so I need to hurry."

"Alright, I'll see you on the train deary." she grins and trots up the stairs, probably to pack. you nod and leave, heading for the Blacksmith shop. you reach it and find a blue pony with a short burnt ochre tail, he's a unicorn with a flat head and long horn. his stare at you burns... you pull your sword and place it on the shop counter,

"This sword needs sharpening and polishing. Royal business, this is your payment, for your lifetime." you say as you pull the sigil out and place it down. His stare moves to the fancy piece and he raises his eyebrows. "'l'righ' ya got yerself a deal..." he then levitates the sword out,

"I want it sharper than dragon claws." you call as you watch him leave.

"Tha's mah specialteh!" he calls back.

"Deliver it to the train station." you leave before you hear a reply and move to the library, Rarity and Twilight waiting for you. "Shall we go now then?"

"I believe so." twilight nods as she levitates her luggage as she walks on, rarity doing the same and giving you a bag,

"Your clothes, deary." she smiles and then you all move on to the train station. as you board the blacksmith gives you your sword, wrapped in a dark red cloth, as he gives it to you he nods,

"Shined it up all pretty for you."

"Thank you, I'll give you all my business."

"Yeah, yeah.." He calls out as he leaves. "Don't make me go bankrupt..." you can only chuckle as you move back to the group and sit down, your armor clacking and rattling as you move to sit, puling your sword from the cloth taht wrapped it you notice the deep shine placed on it, and the gleam of the blade as it reaches it's sharpened sides, you grin and feel the weight as you do every time you draw or examine it, it's always the same, But the sword feels a bit more balanced somehow. you look at the hilt and find a small sun charm dangling from the hilt, you swear you can see a faint glow from the center.

"Princess Sparkle... Why does my sword have a charm on it?" You move and show her your pommel the charm fixed onto it.

"Oh! that's the mark of Celestia. that means it is a perfect blade, the charm itself is enchanted, it makes the weapon act as if perfectly balanced. and strengthens the wielder while under contact with the Sun." she nodes and leans down to her own bag, "I believe there are other charms for each princess... Luna's should do the same as Celestia's except for the moon and darkness. Cadence's, I think, makes the blade stay sharp forever. and strengthens the blade itself. and mine... of course increases the magical prowess of the wielder."

"Ahh, I thank you my Princess." you nod and smile to Twilight, though she cannot see under your helmet. you bring the charm to your helmet and press it to the forehead, then you bring your sword back down and slide it into your scabbard.

"Oh, Uhm, Knight Anonymous, the charms can only be on one at a time, but if you wear a charm, as a necklace... it also gives it's benefits. slight different but mostly the same." She nods and then crosses her front hoofs on the table in front of her, you nod and lean back into the chair.

"Princess, How long does the train take?"

"Oh, it takes... several hours... feel free to sleep."

"Thank you, my princess." you pull your helmet and smile to her, you notice a bit of a blush form on her cheeks at the compliment, you smile and then lean back, getting comfortable in the cool cabin of the private royal train car. as you drift off you hear hoof steps and a polite,

"Princess, would you like a snack?" you hear no answer as you fall asleep. dreams of armor that shines like fire dances in your dream.

"Anonymous... darling... please do wake up, we're at the Canterlot train yard." you stir and sit up standing suddenly and stretch a bit to work your kinks out , pulling your helmet on you pick your tower shield up, Twilight graciously kept it as you didn't want to wander Ponyville with it. you grip the shield and heft it up you make your way off the train before Twilight, you are her knight of course. as you raise your shield and look around, hand gripping your sword handle as your slowly draw it.

"My Princess... the train yard seems to have no hostiles... stay close, I assume the top of the mountain is our destination?" you motion for Rarity and Twilight to follow.

"Ah, yes." Twilight nod and motions to Rarity for her to follow. As you walk, you look at pony's that give you odd looks and continue to walk, slowly making your way to the castle steps the royal guards slide their spears in front of you until they notice Twilight and Rarity behind you.

"Princess Sparkle!" you exclaim, snapping to attention and presenting their weapons, "It's an honor to have you visit once agian! What is the beast that wanders ahead of you with his weapon?"

"Please excuse him." she smiles to the guards. "He is my personal guard... A knight of his... land?" She looks up at you and cocks her head to the side.

"Yes, Princess Sparkle... My land... the Realm of... Pangaea." You nod, remembering an old name for the world.

"Oh, what a lovely name." She smiles and then looks to the guards, "Thank you for your worry, men, but We need to see the princesses..."

"Please, don't let us stop you Princess." the royal guard salute now.

"Princess, shall I lead the way?" you look at her and slowly shift from side to side, your armor grinding on itself a bit as you move, Twilight nods and trots up ahead of you.

"I'll lead the way. Please sheath your sword... We're safe in the castle grounds."

"As you say my princess." You nod and sheath your sword. as you make your way to the throne room. you see a fat griffon waddling down a hall opposite to you all. he must be a diplomat, you had heard Griffons and ponies had a tense relationship, there was a war about it and everything... allot of ponies and griffons died.

"Anonymous... please, kneel when they stand." Twilight says as you reach a large golden door.

"Twilight, I know what I am doing." You say this as you move ahead of her and push both doors open with a hand each, you then move to the bottom of the stairs, drawing your sword as you do so. making the guards take a cautious step forward, they relax as you place the sword tip to the ground and kneel with that directly in front of you. you look up from your low point. you see two ponies about the same height as you... when standing, with large flowing manes and tails taht seem to follow a nonexistent breeze, their horns look like the classical interpretation of unicorns. Both of them are looking at you with a smile, and a pink pony cocking her head to the side. You lower your head slowly and call to them. "My honorous princesses, I was told by the wondrous, Princess Sparkle you beseeched me a meeting." you bow your head again. the two larger princesses now smiling at each other. The largest white one steps forward and calls to you.

"Rise, Knight. Indeed, we asked our Princess Twilight to let you know we ask of you to come with her and ask as her bodyguard, we thank you for doing such. and now we ask for you to step out with miss Rarity while we speak to Twilight about an issue that is pressing... could you?" she smiles the sweetest loving smile... your charm matches the mark on her rear. She must be Celestia.

"I shall leave at once Princess Celestia." you nod and stand, sliding your sword into its scabbard, "Thank you for gracing me with your luscious presences, All of you." You make a deep bow and walk out of the throne room. to Rarity. who bats her eye lashes at you and grins.

"I heard... Would you like to visit an art gallery?" she must have some ulterior motives...

"I think that we should wait for the Princess." You don't think this is such a bad idea... she's a bit odd. and she was probably trying to show off the new being, but you are her bodyguard... and a knight. and so you wait. and when you are done waiting... you wait more. as you about to slip into sleep again the door opens and Twilight steps out, looking a bit dejected, she looks to you and nods.

"Celestia and Luna want to talk to you."

"Yes, Princess." You nod and move into the throne, finding Who must be Candance gone and the Dark and white ponies left. "Princesses... You wish an audience once more?"

"Ah, Yes, The new species. We wish for you to assist the Elements of Harmony in their new mission. Changlings have assaulted a town on the outskirts of the badlands... We wish for you to assist them in what will be a dangerous mission." Luna steps forward. she speaks more too the point than Celestia. and she seems to have an accent... perhaps that is Old Canterlot?

"Yes Princess, it will be done." You bow agian and set yourself strong as Celestia frowns.

"If Any of my precious ponies are injured by you, You'll know the reckoning of the sun that has no ending." she seems much taller than you now... you nod deeply terrified on the inside.

"As I said, princess. It will be done." you nod. "Princess Luna. If I may make a request, may I have a charm of your emblem?"

"I regret to inform you that the charms have only so many made before they are distributed, to have one is a high honor. Royal armorers use them though. I wish you luck.I hope you enjoy your first royal mission."

"I understand... thank you for your time... I shall set out with them at once."

"Good bye, and good luck... keep our little ponies safe." They both say at the same time as you leave. you move to Twilight and nod.

"So, The Badlands?"
