A group of Vanu Sovereignty scientists is examining a new artifact found in a crater from a recent weapons test. When a Terran Republic infiltrator sabotages the device, a squadron from the AGONY outfit is transported to Equestria, where they land in the middle of Ponyville. They soon attempt to convince the Equestrians to aid the Vanu against the other factions, but the Terran Republic, intrigued by their Infiltrator's report, sends a squadron of their own to Equestria as well, followed closely by the New Conglomerate.
