Around 400 years before modern-day Equestria, a population of then-unknown creatures suddenly appeared in the Equestrian countryside. What quickly followed became known as the First Contact War, fought between humans and ponies. In the end, the ponies defeated the humans. The remaining humans were deemed as too aggressive and violent to be allowed freedom and were enslaved. Several strange traits were discovered among some of the human population, including their sweat's aphrodisiac properties, or the rarer immunity to magic. Four hundred years later, humanity is still more or less in the same state it was before. There have been many revolts and attempted rebellions, but none of them have succeeded. In fact, they only worked to convince the ponies that humans weren't fit to be free. What will happen when Celestia finds a human infant on one of her diplomatic trips?
