Chapters Chapter 2: The Transformation Begins
Ditzy woke up to find The Doctor not laying on the couch where she had put him last night. "Doctor?!" She said out loud as she got up and waited for a response... Nothing, just silence ... Then she heard a loud clanging of pots and pans in the kitchen. She began to walk to the kitchen very cautiously. "D-Doctor..." Ditzy said as the clashing became louder and louder as she came closer. She peered around to see The Doctor slightly before he flew a pan at her which Ditzy quickly dodged. She backed up quickly till she hit the edge of the couch.
'What has gotten into The Doctor?' Ditzy thought to herself. Many more pots and pans flew from the kitchen to her direction. She grabbed one of them and guarded herself. The flying objects had stopped then she heard hoof steps from the kitchen coming towards her. She saw The Doctor appear out of the kitchen he looked the same but from the atmosphere around them she could tell that something was different about him. "Ello Ditzy!" The Doctor said smirking wickedly and coming closer to Ditzy while she trembled from where she standing still holding the pan in her hoof. "Doctor t-this isn't funny.." Ditzy said as she backed away slowly till she was blocked by the walls of the TARDIS. "Oh, but I think it is very much." The Doctor said just as evil-like. "Doctor what's the matter with you?! Why are you acting like this?" She said as her words had a hint of anger.
He looked as if he were ready to kill her with every step coming closer and closer. She looked at The Doctor then at the pan in her hand, she knew what had to be done but she didn't want to. She lifted the pan over her head with both hooves, closed her eyes and hit The Doctor with the pan. 'WHAMMM!!' The sound of the pan hitting The Doctor's head filled Ditzy's ears. The Doctor was groaning in pain "My Celestia Ditzy! What was THAT for?" He said rubbing his injured head sitting up. "Oh thank goodness you're ok Doctor!" Ditzy said hugging The Doctor. "What are you talking about Ditzy?" He said pulling away from the hug. "Well you were all crazy and-..." Ditzy stopped talking. "I was all crazy and what?" The Doctor said he looked at Ditzy and waited for a response. "Ditzy?" He said but only got one thing from her in return: fear.
By this point Ditzy had already dropped then pan to her side. The Doctor had noticed the fear in Ditzy. "Are you alright Ditzy? You look as if you had seen a ghost." She remained silent while looking at his hooves. "What are you looking at Ditzy?" He said tilting his head, then he looked at his hooves. He couldn't believe it and neither could she, they had craters in them. The Doctor had a face of disbelief, then the craters began to fill in to reveal his normal hooves. Silence fell between them. Then Ditzy broke the silence "Doctor what's going on?" The Doctor was too absorbed into what just happened to his hooves.
Then all of a sudden his eyes went wide in thrill. "Fancy that!" He exclaimed getting up and slowly walking in small circles. "There we're craters in my hoof, my very hoof! A-and I didn't even feel a thing! Oh this is simply amazing! Who knew a pony- I mean time lord such as I had an ability to do something like that!" Ditzy tried to keep up with what he was saying but he was talking WAY too fast.
She kept trying to interrupt him but he just went on and on. "Hey! Doctor!!" She yelled waving her hooves in the air trying to be noticed. She was thinking for a moment then knew how to get his attention, then she had it she walked to the control center and sounded a fake alarm through-out the T.A.R.D.I.S and cleared her throat. "DOCTOR THE T.A.R.D.I.S IS ABOUT TO CRASH!!!!!" Ditzy screamed at the top of her lungs. The Doctor immediately snapped out of it and went to the control center. "WHAT?!?! D-DID YOU SWITCH THE CONTROLS TO A-... Hey... You lied! Its just fine." He said somewhat relieved and confused. Ditzy stood next to him. "I said that to get you to stop talking." She said. "Well you could've just asked me to stop." He said turning the alarm off. "I tried to but it didn't work so this is was plan-B." Ditzy said smiling then sat down. He sat next to her. "Well you got my attention now what do you need Ditzy?" Ditzy smile started to fade a bit. "Well I don't think its a good thing that you're uh getting craters in your hooves." She said looking at him. "Why not?!" He said in disbelief.
She took a breath and spoke. "Well I think it's like.. some kind of sign.. a bad sign.." She said. "How so?" The Doctor questioned putting a hoof under his chin, thinking of the 'cons' of the situation. "Well you're starting to act all weird and.. mean." Ditzy spoke sadly. "Mean?" He perked up hearing her saying he was being mean to her. "Why would I ever hurt you in any way? I lo-.. uh I care for you too much to do so." The Doctor said hoping he didn't hear his mistake. As much as she was upset she still heard his mistake and smiled to herself. "Do you Pinkie promise?" She said pointing her hoof at him. He sighed knowing he had to say the odd rhyme. "Cross my heart hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." He said putting a hoof over his eye. "Good," Ditzy said getting up. "now let me get some ice for your head." She said smiling and began to walk to the kitchen as The Doctor followed behind her in her hoof steps.
But who knew that promise was broken the next day.
The Doctor woke up in the middle of the night, the first thing he noticed that Ditzy was next to him on the hard floor next to the fireplace where they had dozed off together. The Doctor got up and got a warm blanket for her, he thought she might've been cold when he returned with a blanket he comfortably layed it on her, she smiled in her sleep. As he layed back down beside her, he studied the mare, her golden yellow mane fell perfectly to her side the bright blue blanket made her stand out more too, he truly thought she was very lovely. Then he thought about how she said those things that night. Being mean to her, not acting normal, making a mess. All of it didn't sound like him either way you put it. With all the thinking going on in his head The Doctor began to doze off slightly.
Then all of a sudden his eyes glowed red for few seconds, it would've lasted longer if The Doctor hadn't shook his head abruptly. "What was that?" He said fully awake and worried. He looked over at Ditzy."What if Ditzy is right? It's probably more signs of the transformation thing He thought to himself. Then his eyes widened and got up as if he were being controlled like a robot. Not blinking at all, he walked in the kitchen and went up to the drawers that contained thier silverwares. Then opened one and pulled out a long thin knife, he walked out of the kitchen with the knife in his hoof. The Doctor slowed his pace as he stopped in front of the sleeping mare and raised the knife above his head.
SLLLIINNNNG!!
He stabbed the T.A.R.D.I.S ground next to the mare, Ditzy woke up startled. He had missed. He backed away quickly realizing what he might've done if he didn't snap out of it. "Doctor!! Were.. you just trying to kill me?!?" Ditzy managed to stammer. "N-no! I swear! I just don't know what came over me! It must be a...a sickness!" He said smiling trying not to make her worried about the whole transformation signs. "This is no sickness Doctor! Its more signs, I told you!" Ditzy said trying not to yell at him in a mean way, she still cared for him. "That's preposterous! Im just fine!" He said stomping his hoof on the T.A.R.D.I.S ground, Ditzy was about to respond but his eyes glowed again. This time he didnt stop it.
His glowing red eyes became darker and darker as he got angrier. Ditzy trembeled away backwards wishing she had'nt said the words she said. "See?! Don't I seem just FINE?!" He said as he stopped in front of Ditzy. But she was'nt going to act scared now like last time. So she stood up and spoke "Doctor! Snap out of it! This is making me reallly mad now!" she said as angry as possible. "Oh, poor Ditzy is scared isn't she?" The Doctor said overpowering her. "Well guess what, you're so pathetic I wont even bother to even mess with you." The Doctor said with his snout in the air. "I know you dont mean it Doctor because you're nicer than that! Well.. The Doctor I know is!" She said feeling sad that he called her pathetic.
He looked annoyed by this point yet still angry too, "When can you realize that The Doctor isn't here?" He said "He is in there I know it. I just gotta find a way to get him to show, because I want that Doctor! The one who is nice to me and cares for me too, not some grump who is being Mr.Rude today." She said trying to make a better point than him, hoping that would be enough to bring him back. Sadly it didn't work.
He smirked at the pony "Oh you think the 'Doctor' cares for you? Just to let you know he does'nt. Or atleast thats what in his mind he is thinking." He said knowing that would bring her down but it didn't she still stood there strong. "How much you want to bet he doesn't! He cares for EVERYpony and Im pretty sure that Im one of them. Your not The Doctor, you're just a fraud!" She said strongly she knew in her heart that The Doctor would NEVER say that to her.
He was starttled at the fact she was still facing against him. He then had a terribly good idea that would make her break. He smirked and slowly walked around "Sorry but The Doctor doesn't fall in love with an idiot such as yourself. I mean come on look at you, your eyes cant see straight, and you think The Doctor likes you which obviously he doesn't. So basically you're a nothing to him, and that's all you'll EVER be! You stupid,stupid mare!" He ended it off with multiple slaps at her face.
She tried to hold back the tears but she could'nt help it. She ended up crying in front of him. "Ha! I made you..made you.. cry.." The Doctor said as his tone of evil and meaness faded away along with his eye glowing. Ditzy ran out of the T.A.R.D.I.S, "D-Ditzy stop! Please! I'm Sorry!" The Doctor tried to say before she left through the doors. Alone in the silence, The Doctor sat there and realized what he just did to Ditzy.
"What.. have I just done?" The Doctor said almost crying. But then ran out of the T.A.R.D.I.S to find Ditzy.
As soon as Ditzy left he began his quest to find her. He thought about where she could be, 'Maybe Town Hall? No.. Sweet Apple Acres..?' There was a variety of places Ditzy could be, just one problem: He didn't know much at all so The Doctor began to run out of ideas pretty quick, but he wasn't going to give up that quick for Ditzy, he'd do just about anything for her... He thought of only a minimum of places she could be. While on his walk he had this whole fight in his mind about where Ditzy was. 'No, Sugarcube corner! Come on, follow your instinct!' Then his other mind went on too. 'No.. Why would she be there during this time?' He sighed, then just randomly went to the first out of how-many-he-thought-of places.
First stop: Sugarcube Corner. The Doctor looked around only to find the sweet shop silent and empty. It was hard to look at the inside since it was still dark out. "Nothing.." The Doctor said walking past the shop. "Now for.. uh.. that place.. err... Well whatever comes up next I suppose.." He stopped by a School House and sat on the nearest bench, "Why would she be anywhere around here?" He said to himself looking upwards towards the sky, "Its probably no use though.. But for now I must find her.." He got off the bench and resumed his search once more. Second stop: A Bookstore....

Ditzy flew into a nearby cloud next to the Town Hall and rested. She curled herself up and began to slowly stop crying. "It was a bad idea to even talk to The Doctor at a time like that..." Ditzy said taking a piece of the cloud to play with. "But he needed my help I couldn't just leave him needing my help. I mean... I did the right thing! Right?" She sighed. "No, I didn't." Ditzy gingerly touched her cheek, it had still stung. She stared off to the distance, it was still dark outside so she could see the stars, though it was silent, not one single noise was heard from the sleeping town. She rolled over on her back and bounced the piece of cloud in the air with her hooves until it was completely evaporated into the air. She was about to take apart a new piece but she heard hoof steps walking towards the Town Hall. She peered over the cloud she laid on. Closer, and closer the hoof steps came.
Ditzy got a view of who it was.. The Doctor. She ducked back into the cloud, scared to see him. "Somewhere.. Ditzy has to be here somewhere." The Doctor said to himself, he sounded really tired. She peered over at him, he had taken a break and sat on the ground next to the pond and stared into it, he let out a sigh. "Quit telling yourself that lad. I need to stop lying to myself.." She heard him say to himself. "Look at yourself.... The pity I feel, what has gotten into me?" He put his head in his hooves and Ditzy heard him let out a cry. Ditzy lowered her head back into the cloud, she felt bad for The Doctor. She knows he didn't mean anything he said, Ditzy looked back towards The Doctor. She sighed and flew down from her cloud that she was in.
She was a few feet behind him, but he didn't know. She knew what had to be done.. But on the inside she just wanted to hug him forever and never let go. She walked towards The Doctor, one hoof at a time. Once she was close enough, she placed a hoof on his shoulder. He stopped crying and looked up, to see Ditzy trying her best to smile at him warmly neglecting the pain that arose from her red cheeks. The second The Doctor saw her he immediately hugged her. She was in complete shock not really expecting it, until her mind was comprehending what was happening. She hugged back, Ditzy had promised she wouldn't cry but, they both ended up in tears.
The Doctor was the first to speak, "D-Ditzy I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you in any way. I just.." He sighed and released from the hug and put his head down. "Gone out of control?" Ditzy said trying to help finish his sentence. He looked up at her and tried to smile only to see the scratch on her cheek. "Did.. I do that?" He said sitting up correctly. She covered her cheek and spoke "Uh, yea.. But it's fine trust me." She said as she pulled off a convincing smile. "Can I see it?" He asked her trying to get a look at it before she covered it more along with her response, "I told you, it's fine, it's just a little scratch that's all, nothing to be worrying about." She said. ".....I must've been a real jerk.." The Doctor said to her as he turned his head to the pond. Ditzy smiled and nudged him "Not that much.. You just got a bit of anger." The Doctor sighed. "Is it just me or is it cold out here?" The Doctor asked, "Agreed!" Ditzy said along with a smile.
Then there was silence between the two ponies... The sun began to rise slowly, as Ditzy yawned. "Are you tired?" The Doctor said just as tired. "A little, well actually a lot." She said with a little laugh afterwards. "Lets go back to the T.A.R.D.I.S. to get some sleep." The Doctor said getting up as well as Ditzy, "That might've been a good idea 30 minutes ago." Ditzy said, He smiled at her, it was nice to have her back.. Now he only has to worry about one thing while he is around Ditzy: Don't. Turn. Evil.
The Doctor slowly passed out, reveiwing what just happened in his head before his mind turned blank ... The Changeling cornering him as The Doctor fought his way out but while his struggle the Changeling had a bite at his foreleg. The Doctor let out a scream of pain, lazers beaming everywhere, things crashing, Changelings romed the streets of Canterlot terroizing many ponies. Everybody was being attacked so his scream was nothing more than Fluttershy's 'yays'.
He yanked his hoof away leaving worse marks on him. He held his hoof and looked at it, the teeth marks were still fresh from the bite blood began to seep from it. He looked away not baring to see the wound any longer.
'Ditzy..Please be ok.' The Doctor said in his mind trying to hold back the tears from the bite.
"But for now I need to save myself if I ever want to see her again..." The Doctor said quietly to himself then got into a fighting postion standing on his back forelegs like how Rainbow Dash did when she found Discord laying on a cloud in the labyrinth. "You wanna fight? Alright! Bring your best!" The Doctor said practicing a few punches in front of him.
The Changeling came closer as if he was going to prounce on The Doctor, then a bright light shone across all of Canterlot and the Changeling flew off thats when The Doctor soon got dizy and became unconcious.

"Doctor!! Wake up!" Dizty flew above him and landed next to him. "Are... Are you dead?! Oh no! Umm what do I do?" Ditzy said as she flew up and did a few circles above his head. "Should I do CPR? Uhhh" Ditzy began to get close to The Doctor. "I really dont wanna do this..." She got closer to the Doctor.The Doctor woke up slightly. "Owww my head... What did you say?" he spoke as Ditzy turned around "Oh thank goodness you're okay!" She said smiling as she set her hooves on the ground.
She examined The Doctor, or atleast tried too.The Doctor looked as if he just got done with a 'War of the Cangelings' , his mane was messed up just as bad as his tail. He had a few scratches on him but the one that caught her attention was the bite mark the Changeling had left.done with a 'War of the Cangelings'.
"Doctor what happened to your foreleg! Its all.. well bitten and bruised" Ditzy took a closer look at his foreleg by picking it up and holding it close to her face. "I suppose the creature had bitten me while I was trying to escape from his grasp." He said pulling his hoof away from Ditzy and rubbing his forehead.
"I can patch it up at the uhhh.. the..TAMIS..no the TAP.. uhh" The Doctor seemed confused. "The TARDIS?" Ditzy said trying to help. "Oh yeah! That, uh thing! " He said putting his hoof down and getting up. "Doctor are you ok? Did you hit your head or something?." Ditzy said as she put a hoof on his head feeling his mane.
The Doctor acted as if fire had touched him and backed away quickly. Ditzy had a frienghtened look on her face. He noticed her face full of fear and realized what he had just done. "S-sorry Ditzy.. It just uh hurts right there." He said quickly before anything else happened. "Oh so you did hit your head! Sorry if I hurt you Doctor just checkin' up on you to see if your the real Doctor or not." Ditzy said slightly smiled then giggling at the thought of a crazy Doctor going on about time. "Yeaah.." The Doctor began to laugh nervously.
"Can we go home now Doctor? I can make us some muffins for dinner!" Ditzy spoke smiling at him warmly.
"Yeah. It is getting pretty dark out." The Doctor agreed. On the rest of the way home was silent except the sound of their hooves steps hitting the ground and Ditzy lightly singing to herself..
'Stars and Moons and Air Balloons'
'Fluffly Couds to the horizion'
'I'll wrap you in rainbows and rock you to sleep again..'

At the TARDIS, The Doctor was exploring inside the blue box like he had never seen it before. "Doctor do you want to have a seat? I can get the bandages for you". Ditzy asked finding a spot for the Doctor sit, patting it smiling then went to get the bandages and handed it to the Doctor. While still examining the TARDIS, The Doctor walked over and sat down at the spot Ditzy had picked for him then opened the kit of bandages .
"What was that about muffins for dinner?" The Doctor asked while watching Ditzy walk to the kitchen. "Yeah, um I'm going to make some right now so.." Ditzy said poking her head out of the kitchen sounding really annoyed. "Sorry if I'm a bother to you I can stop talking.." The Doctor said kind of sadly. Ditzy noticed the hurt in his voice and didn't want her friend to be sad or even mad.
"No. I just need help here in the kitchen.. Would you like to help?" Ditzy said hoping in her mind he would say no. Not that she DIDNT want him to help its just he is injured and stuff. "Oh what a delight! Of course! I will get out the eggs." The Doctor said galloping to the kitchen with joy.
The sound of his happiness made Ditzy smile to her self. She stirred the ingredients together into a bowl and looked at the Doctor. He didn't look the same. He acted the same but didn't look it. He came next to her and added the eggs to the mix. "What are you... looking at?" The Doctor said turning around thinking she was staring at an object. "Oh uh just thinking about which flavor the muffins should be." Ditzy said quickly putting her head down slightly turning pink in her cheeks.
"I.. think.." The Doctor began to say but he started sounding dizzy. "How.. about." There was a loud crashing sound. Ditzy stopped from her work and turned to see the Doctor on the floor. "D-Doctor! Are you ok?.." She found out he was still breathing so she carried him to the couch and made him comfortable as possible. She forgot about the muffins and lied on the floor next to the Doctor making sure he was ok. "Please be ok, Doctor." Ditzy said to herself making herself comfortable, it was hard to do so thanks to the hard floor but she made it work and slowly fell asleep.
