Filly of Mystery
The winds were fierce as a winds roared across the cold cloud city known as Cloudsdale. A teenage pegasus mare with a cream colored coat and pink and white striped mane was walking through the tough winds of the cloud city as she battled fearlessly through the harsh winds. "Goodness, are there windigos here?" She question herself as she continued to crawl through the tidal wave of icy wind. As she continued to walk through the city, she stopped and rested in a nearby alley as she tried to catch her breath. She sat down as she breathed heavily to regain some energy. Nearby a box moved, the teenage mare took a quick glance at the closed box that it started to lightly rumble. "Huh?" The mare slowly approach the box as she reached out her hoof, but the box cover popped open from a small kick to reveal an icy blue baby filly with a white and whitish blue striped mane and beautiful crystal ice blue eyes.
"Oh my, what are you doing here?" The mare asked as she looked around to see if anypony was around her, but there was nopony. "Helloooooo? Does anypony know who this foal belongs to?" The mare asked as she looked at the baby foal. Her eyes gazed upon the teenage mare as she gave a soft yawn and slowly drifted off to sleep. Ohhhhhhh so cute! The teenage mare exclaimed to herself as she scooped the box and kept it closed as she carried the baby through the terrible storm of Cloudsdale. She carried the sleeping foal as she reached a small house away from the city, she flew towards the house as she walked inside and placed the foal in a box on the couch. "Mother? Mother!?" The teenage mare called out for her mother as hoofsteps came from a nearby room.
"Yes Primrose? What is it?" The mother asked as she walked in the living room to find her daughter with a nervous look on her face. "Primrose, is something the matter?"
"Well mother, upon my return here to home, I came across a fragile and odd...object." Primrose started as she pointed at the box.
"What is inside the box?" Asked her mother as she stepped in closer to it. Primrose and her mother both sat next to the box as Primrose opened it to reveal a small leaving pegasus foal causing her mother's eyes to widen with surprise. "Primrose, where did you find this baby?" Asked a confused and shocked mother.
"I found her in the alley alone mother. I tried to look for her mother or father but I had no luck, I couldn't see anypony because of the storm." Primrose quickly explained as the young foal gave a small soft yawn and continued to sleep. "I couldn't just leave her outside in the storm."
"I'm glad you saved this baby Primrose, but we can't just keep it."
"We have to mother, I don't think she can make it on her own." Primrose objected as she defended at baby foal.
"Then who's going to take care of her? I certainly will not, not with the small space we have."
Primrose thought long and hard as she looked at the sleeping foal who had a smile on her face. "I will." Proclaimed Primrose as she picked up the baby.
"W-What?"
"I will mother, I need to learn of responsibility. And so I will take this challenge."
"Primrose, are you really sure you can take care of this foal? What will you even name her?" Asked Primrose's mother as a knocking came from the front door. Primrose set the foal back in the box as she opened the door to reveal a jet black stallion with a yellow spiky mane.
"Hey Primrose, you ready to drop the snow clouds off at the weather station to make more water?" Asked the stallion as Primrose looked around for a distraction.
"Yes Thunder Rod, just let me help my mother tend to the flowers, then I'll meet you at the station." Primrose averted as she quickly looked at the baby foal.
"Oh, okay! I'll see ya later!" Thunder shrugged as he flew off into the distance towards the weather factory. Primrose walked back to her mother and the foal as her mother scratched her chin.
"What shall we name her?" Asked Primrose's mother.
"I don't know." Shrugged Primrose as she picked up the baby foal.
"Well, maybe we can think while we tender to the new snowdrops." announced Primrose's mother as she nodded and followed her to the back of the house. There were boxes full of soil and white flowers with petals hanging down like raindrops. Primrose walked up to one as she bent down with the foal in her hoof and gave a plentiful whiff as she could smell the fresh blooms of the flower. The baby foal reached out to the flower as she plucked it changing Primrose and her mother's faces into shock. "Oh my, it looks like we can't sell this batch in the market." Proclaimed Primrose's mother as the baby foal giggle causing Primrose's mother to give an get away smile. "Oh well, as long as the baby is okay."
*Quick author's note. "When Primrose's mother means snowdrops, she means the flowers. Here is a picture of what they look like, just to clarify things, have fun reading the rest of the story :)*

Primrose watched as the baby foal played around with the white flower as she balanced the tip of the broken stem on top of her nose. It fell as it landed on her bellybutton causing the little filly to giggle as the petals started to tickle her like feathers. "So you like snowdrops don't you little cutie?" Asked Primrose as the baby filly started to giggle some more. "Hmmm, how about that, Snowdrop. That's your new name. Welcome to the family Snowdrop."
"And so I have been raising her as my own ever since. I told her eventually and she took it quite well to a surprise, she was glad to have a family like my mother and I. After a few years of selling flowers, my mother died from a terrible illness, I was in grief and Snowdrop was only 6 at the time. But she was the only one who kept me smiling, so I became my own, I raised her as if mother had raised me. Over the years of taking care of her, I found out she was blind, so I helped her navigate the city. I carved in little crater into the cloud streets so that she could feel her way towards the school that she went to. But then after her class project, and thanks to Princess Luna, she is no longer blind, but color blind. But I couldn't ask for anything else." Primrose story told as she looked up at a picture of her mother and gave a soft sigh at her. Her coat was white as her yellow mane was separated into small sections like petals on a flower. Sharp walked up to the portrait as he read the carving.
"Dandelion Wing. I think I heard about her. She was the one who rejected the 1st place award at the flower show, I was surprised as everypony else, I mean her orchid flower was amazing, it's petals had all the colors of a rainbow, she won, but she rejected the award." Sharp remembered as Primrose gave a soft sigh as she walked next to the unicorn. He looked next to Dandelion's portrait as he gazed at a picture of the exact orchid that was displayed during the flower show.

"Yes, I asked her why she didn't take the award and she told me this. "Metal and paper isn't something to remember, it's not something to keep what we remember. What we remember what comes from within, to make new memories for us to remember." Primrose recited as she let out a single tear. "I've still kept those words to this day, even Snowdrop was fond of them. I was so proud when she rejected the trophy for that class project. Because she told me that the real trophy, was a new happy season." Primrose remembered as more tears started to spill out from her eyes. Sharp Spell gave a hug towards the young mother as he patted her back.
"Go ahead, let it all out. You deserve to release your watering can of love." Sharp advised as Primrose let out a waterfall of tears full our love and proud memories.
"Thank you Sharp, please promise me something." Pleaded Primrose as Sharp broke the hug and looked at the young mother in confusion. "Please take care of my daughter, I can feel that you are just right for her."
Sharp gave a heavy sigh as he looked at Primrose straight in the eyes. "I will, by Celestia's crown I will take care of your daughter. I swear this on my life." Sharp promised as Primrose started to tear up more with remorse and happiness.
"Thank you. Now I think you should go with Snowdrop, she's waiting you know." Sharp Spell nodded as he walked outside the house to reveal a path made up of small clouds. On the ground Sharp found a small note.
Dear Sharp,
I remembered that you couldn't fly, so I made a path of clouds for you so you could walk back to the factory, hope to see you soon.
-Snowdrop
Sharp smiled at the note as he hopped from one cloud to another as he reached the main part of Cloudsdale. As Sharp walked along the streets of the cloud city, he could feel a slight tap on the top of his head. He looked up to find a single snowdrop flower on his head. He levitated it in front of him as he felt another one land on top of his head. He looked up in the sky to find no cloud, nor pegasus pulling a prank.
Thank you
He heard from the farthest distance as he looked around only to find nopony near him. As he continued walked he felt something a little heavier tap him on top of his head, he looked up to find a bright, rainbow colored orchid. He took the orchid as he looked towards the sky and smiled. He walked towards the nearest cafe with a flower bed as he placed the flower within the bed of different ones. He continued to walk as the rainbow flower grew stems as it plugged itself inside the new bed of flowers, the stem started to grow as the flower reached it's maximum height as leaves started to grow, other ponies started to crowd over it as they were amazed at the color and texture.
"Wow!"
"Cool."
"It's so beautiful."
"I love the rainbow color!" Ponies compliments as a single drop of water came from the orchid. The drop of water looked heavier and was sweet with pride and joy. It dropped out of the orchid as the rainbow colors of the petals began to swivel like a wave as ponies became amazed at the plant.
Sharp continued to walk with a small but proud smile as ponies gathered around the magical plant. He walked as he reached the massive weather factory as he put on his uniform and went inside. He opened the door towards the snowflake station as he tip-hoofed his way towards the nearest table. He picked up his tools as he started to make snowflakes from different patterns, shapes, and sizes. After about a few tens of snowflakes, he felt a hoof tap on his shoulder, he turned to find Princess Celestia smiling down on him. "Yes princess?"
"I saw what happened at that cafe." Celestia reminded as Sharp gave a small smirk as he turned to continue with his snowflakes. "I am very proud of you Sharp, I just wish Luna could see this." Celestia said in a low tone as Sharp turned around.
"Don't worry princess, she will forgive you eventually." Sharp comforted as the sun goddess smiled upon her student. "By the way princess, have you seen Snowdrop?"
"Yes, she is right now filling in more clouds. May I ask why Sharp?"
"Because I want to do something special for her and I need your help. With your permission your highness."
"Of course, anything you need, just ask me. What is it that you will do for Snowdrop?" Sharp Spell leaned in close to the princess' ear as he whispered his entire plan causing his teacher to giggled and smile upon her student.
