After crossing paths with an inexorable spectre, a young man is forced to remain fixed to the spot as the world perishes behind him. Once there is nothing left, he is abandoned by the ghost to walk the empty oblivion. Becoming acquainted with his surroundings, the man begins a civilization, anew. He constructs a city not of silver lining, but a rusty one of anachronistic robots and steampunk architecture.
