He got out of bed in nothing but his plain linen under garb. He climbed down the steps of his small home in Whiterun and walked to the door. “Letter for one, Walker Selfridg VIII, that you sir?” said the small lengthy Nord boy before him. “Aye, that’s me. May I ask who it’s from?” said the Breton from the doorway. “Sorry sir, all I was told was to give this to you. There may be a name in the letter. This came with it, looks like some kinda soul gem.” He said handing the large man a small glowing gem. “Well that’s all I’ve got; by now.” He said turning and running back to the gates. Walker laid the letter and strange gem on the counter. He’d look into it after breakfast. He sat his bowl in the wash basin of his home and picked up the letter. He gingerly opened it and looked at the fine writing of ink on the page. ‘Dear Walker Selfridg VIII, I have been watching you for quite a while now and am indeed impressed with your skills. You’ve gone from a humble ranger, known only in stories and myths, to a legend never to be forgotten. Who’d ever forget the legendary Dragonborn, who killed Alduin in Sovergarde? I wish to see you grow more and increase your skill set. Come to Rebels Rapture in the pass between Skyrim and Cyrodiil.  I’m waiting. Dcridos.’ He folded the letter and put it in his pocket. He then grabbed the stone and inspected it. He got up and walked into the Alchemy Laboratory and looked at the bookshelf.  He had many books, always collecting more as he traveled. He had over 700 books, and copies of many. He had almost every book you could get. He searched quickly before he found the correct book, ‘Odd items of the world: stones and gems’. He skimmed each page but found nothing. He eventually gave up and walked up to his room. He opened the chest he kept special items in. He pulled out a thick bundle of mammoth fur. The items with in still froze through and chilled to the bone. He grabbed his travel clothes and a few spare sets of clothes, a few books, and a few rations. He stuffed them in a satchel and headed for the door. He walked briskly through town saying hello to everyone. He nodded to the guards and exited the gates. He sprinted to the stables and saddles his horse, Shadowmere, before heading off to east. Sun fell on Skyrim as Walker reached Winterhold. He dismounted and hitched his stead in front of the inn. He then turned and made way to the Collage. Briskly he went to the main hall and went up the stairs to the Arch Mages quarters, or his room as it would be called now. He sat his bag down and laid on the bed. He would talk to Tolfdir in the morn. He awoke just as the sun crested the Red Mountain in Resdayn. Silently he got up and dressed in his usual garb of a brown belted tunic and matching pants. Looking through the chest in his room he grabbed a steel belt dagger and walked down stairs. “Tolfdir, is that you old friend?” he yelled across the room to the aging mage. “Indeed, is that my best student?” the old Breton asked back. “Aye, and he’s come to see just you.” Walker walked over and asked him to meet him in his study. “It’s rather important, so do what you must then meet me there.” Tolfdir simply nodded and followed him. “So what’s this all about? We thought you’d gone and died on us.” Said the wizard sitting at a small table in the corner of the room. “I got a letter yesterday, and a strange stone, I searched every book I had on the topic of such a thing yet nothing came up. I trust you the most and figured you could help.” Said Walker pulling out the letter and stone and placing them on the table. Tolfdir read the letter and then glanced at the stone. “Best I can say, is to go and see what’s at this ‘Rebels Rapture’. Something tells me that rock will have a great deal to do with it.” Walker nodded, the elder man had never led him astray. “Tolfdir, if I die, then I want you to know, you’re the closest thing to a father I've had.  And if that happens, I’d like you to take control of the collage.” He said looking the old man in the eyes. Tolfdir nodded, “I pray that doesn't happen, if I’m like a father to you, fathers shouldn't have to bury sons. It should be the other way around.” He said smiling weakly. They both chuckled. “I suppose, you should go get ready for class.” And with that, the old man left to do his duties. As he heard the door clothes Walker went to his bag. He pulled out the large, cold, bundle. He un-wrapped it to reveal two sickly looking Scimitars, Bloodsythe and Soulrender, a large recurve bow of deadric origin, A Rangers Long Bow, a golden shield that was also of deadric origin, Spellbreaker, and a freezing set of armor known as Death-Brand. Each had a special enchantment and a special story to its acquiring. Quickly he dressed and put on the sword belt. He strung the bow and put it on his back. He gripped the shield tightly and threw his back around himself. He pulled his sets of arrows out of the bag and put the steel tipped ones in a quiver on his back. He walked down stairs and said his goodbye to Tolfdir. He headed out and walked down to his horse in town. “Come on Shadowmere, we gotta make haste to the pass.” With that he kicked the horse in the flank and galloped off the south. By sun up the next day he was at the location told to him by the letter. It was an old cave by the looks. He pulled a sword and raised his shield, he was ready for any attacks. He descended into the cave to find it devoid of anything, living or dead. He used the ancient shout     ,or Aura Whisper, to look around. Nothing. He descended farther till he found a large anti chamber. It was of no style he had ever seen, not even Dark Elf. Walker walked into the center where a small pedestal stood.  In the center was a hole just big enough for the stone he was given. He pulled it out and gingerly placed it within. Suddenly a loud rumbling and a large boom echoed through the cave, a giant rippling of magic came from the pedestal. Tons of ghastly figures appeared around the room and started chanting. Walker was knocked back onto the floor for a moment. As he stood and began to try and exit the cave a large flash shot across the cave blinding him. He saw, and felt nothing. It seemed like he was floating, or in a dream. He just kept on for what seemed like ever until another large flash awoke him. He heard voices coming from near, he just laid down, he was to week to move. “I’m telling you Spike, a large amount of magic energy was just used here. There has to be someth- Oh My Gosh! Spike go get the girls, quick!” That’s all Walker heard before blacking out again.
