Ah, Vinyl Scratch. A well known DJ, but she also leads a day life as one of Equestria's top research ponies (Bear with me). Lately, legends,myths and prophecies have been coming true, and some believe Vinyl is another such occurrence...

Well known as DJ Pon-3, Vinyl Scratch has made quite a living as a DJ whose popularity walks the line between underground and mainstream. However, this is only one side to her life.
On the other side of the coin we have Vinyl Scratch, well respected among researchers the world over, if not famous outside of this small portion of Equestria's community. A practical mare, how will she react when she is thrust into a war of deceit and shadow, the two power players in it misinterpreting her natural self into something else.
Many sides exist in this struggle, but Vinyl must learn to contend with the legendary vampires–creatures who feed on the blood of their victims–and the equally mythic cult of Dawn's Light–a fanatical organization determined to end the vampire race once and for all–both of whom have mistakenly counted her among the legends involved in this shadow struggle.
Can she end the war, or even survive it?
