Apple Snap is the hard-working son of an apple farmer, working every day to prolong the life of his mother's dying company. He's never had his eye caught by any of the mares in town- always considered himself too busy, not attractive enough. All of his thoughts are burdened by the threat of losing his mother's cottage, and the failing business he was supposed to inherit someday.

But when a cream colored filly with an orange on her flank stops into town, all of that changes.
