Rewrite of my first fanfic "Just Another Quirk"

Hello, well, this is an interesting experience, but anyways, on with the story. On January 21st, 2019, I got off work early, I work as an airline clerk. I got home and crashed in the living room, on the couch. When I woke up, I was naturally surprised, as there seemed to be an air raid siren going off in my inner ear. Once I had gathered my wits (and convinced myself that the fallout had not come at all) I opened my eyes and saw something that would make an inanimate object grow a heart, just to have palpitations. I saw Pinkie Pie standing on two hooves, with the object of my discomfort nestled almost lovingly between the other two. Either I passed out from the shock or the constant blaring of the siren, but when I awoke after dreams of birds standing in tea chests, I saw all of the Mane Six, post season 3, and Spike. I promptly joined the penguins for an entertaining hour and a half. When I next came to, there was a note reading: hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle, princess of the land of Equestria, and me and my friends would like to learn all we can about your world. We have relocated to your bedroom (we hope) and await your response. As soon as I finished reading this note, I stumbled into my bedroom and saw the most insane scene ever. Pinkie was laughing hysterically at a record player she had found, Applejack was inspecting a lamp with some interest, Rarity and Twilight were conducting an archeological excavation of my closet, to which I was grateful, Rainbow Dash was looking out a window, and Fluttershy was.......Fluttershy and sitting on a chair making indistinct whimpering noises. I started screaming at God to let me do anything but live with these miniature horses. Once I had finished, I looked down and saw six horrified faces, all pointing to the chair. Slowly being filled with dread, I turned to Fluttershy, and instantly regretted yelling, she had degenerated to full on sobbing into the arm of the chair. I stood to my full height (which only scared Flutters further, but hey) and told Twilight that she, the Mane Six and Spike were going to live with me for the duration of their stay on Earth and were welcome anytime after they returned home. After this, they thanked me, and I retired to the couch to wonder idly what I had done and what I had started in my home.
